Customers say
Customers find this tent to be a fantastic fair weather option that’s very roomy with a full-size cot inside and easy to set up alone. It effectively keeps them dry in the rain, works well, and doesn’t leak. The durability receives mixed feedback – while it holds up well against wind gusts, some report the rainfly pole breaking. The heat retention is also mixed, with customers noting it gets hot in warm weather.

GREAT TENT!!!
We used this tent every single week this past summer, from mid June through the end of August, with the number of nights varying from 2 to 4 nights. The tent worked well! I use a queen air mattress and my tween son uses a single air mattress. The door was plenty big enough to get the inflated airmattress into the tent with no issues, There was over about a foot of space between our two mattresses, as well as over a foot of space between the matresses and the end of the tent which was perfect for our clothing and such. Through the course of the summer, we dealt with as low as mid 30’s temps at night all the way up to 105 during the day, depending on where we were camping. Also dealt with tremendous wind and rain, as we were caught a few times in some pretty serious thunderstorms, wind storms and downpours. The inside of the tent stayed nice and dry. But, I DEFINITELY would STRONGLY suggest that you use the tiedowns on the fly if there is a chance of much wind, as in one of the serious thunder/rain/windstorms that we got caught in, the sustained winds were 20mp, with gusts up to 50mph. I had not done the fly tyedown as the day before, and earlier that day the weather was perfect. The storms were only supposed to be a 15% chance, and came out of nowwhere. The tent nearly fully collapsed with us inside of it due to the wind. My son held it up while I secured the tyedowns into place. Once I did that, the wind was no issue for the tent! Definitely a 5 star tent for us!!!

Great recreational tent.
This tent is great! I love the vestibule and the space inside. It is easy to set up. The only downfall is no windows, but the inside dome of the tent is all mesh. It does get warm in the sun, but I would think most people are not in a tent in the middle of the day. It has not leaked and is a nice family tent for recreational camping.

Starter tent
Iâve used this tent about 3 times now April, June, and October. It is an easy tent to put together two main poles are attached to the tent. I can see where this will be an issue folding and putting it away. In the warm weather this tent does get hot if youâre not in some shade. Wish the door was fully mesh with the option of the fabric to zipper over it when not in use. There are two vents. It is spacious I use this with my son and our two single air mattress it does leave space for gear I wouldnât try putting four people in this. We got rain one time and there were no leaks. I think this is a great starter tent it is comfortable and pretty durable. I would suggest using a tarp place under the tent.

Great for my needs!
I’m new to solo camping and this tent is perfect! I’m a car camper, so size is not an issue for me. I’ve used it a few times so far, once with a friend as well. It’s very large and roomy alone and a perfect size for 2 with enough room to move around a bit. Not quite tall enough to stand up in for me. I am 5’9. But it’s tall enough to stand hunched to get dressed. The rain fly works great and kept me dry in the rain on my last trip! It’s super easy to set up on my own as someone not used to setting up tents. I use it with a tent carpet flooring. The vestibule is handy, but the little door mat it comes with is useless. My only complaint is that it’s pretty much impossible for me to get it all back in the bag it comes in. I’m sure that’s pretty par for the course, so I’m not docking any stars for it.

Great All weather tent!
I bought three of these tents to camp in Yellowstone national park in early May. The weather was extremely cold when we first arrived. 29 degrees at night. It did very well keeping the wind out! We also had a severe thunderstorm one day- NO LEAKS!! We usually will reinforce the seams for water before we leave on any trip but we did not and they were perfect! Very happy with this purchase! Had no problems at all. Also it was easy to set up. I put me and my husband’s tent up by myself while he helped the kids put theirs up. Overall great tent. Lots of room also. We had a queen size air mattress with plenty of space on both sides for our extra stuff!!

Poor wind resistance
I wanted to love this tent, it has good reviews and a high wind resistance. It was easy to setup and is pretty spacious. I like the vestibule as well. However, on the first trip out, I was with a group of three others. One other person had a Coleman Sundome tent and the other two had popup tents from a different brand that I will not mention. It was fairly breezy up near Death Valley but nothing close to the claimed wind resistance of the tent. I staked it with heavy duty stakes and setup all the guy lines. Imagine my dismay when the tent collapsed. On inspection I found that both the pole for the rain fly as well as the inbuilt poles that are pre-attached to the tent had snapped. I’m not sure what material is used but they were extremely sharp and I got cuts in my hand. The other Coleman tent in the group also faced a similar failure – and that tent was bought more than an year ago ruling out a bad batch of tents. Neither of the other tents had any problems and I had to spend a very uncomfortable night before I could take time out of my trip and buy a replacement tent from a different brand. And the other tent cost less than the Coleman making the whole episode even more disappointing. I’m left wondering how Coleman tests the claimed wind resistance of it’s tents – do they have a wind tunnel?

First off, I got this tent because it had great reviews and I don’t regret it!! I’ve been camping for 3 weeks and I came across strong winds, lots and lots of rain and heavy at times and not a drop of water inside. I also made like an awning with the porch door because I keep my window open and I can see. The porch is huge and nothing gets wet under it. I have a queen size air mattress, a little side table and porta potty and i still have lots of room to move around. I also love how big the door is and lots of storage. I recommend this tent 1000%, it is waterproof like described. If for some reason you have a leak its because its defective. I would definitely by this one again.
