Customers say
Customers find the tent easy to set up with one person and appreciate its size, being large enough for 2 people comfortably with gear and featuring a 6-foot center height that allows standing in the middle. Moreover, the tent is well-made, holding up well in storms, and customers consider it good value for money. However, the waterproofing receives mixed reviews – while some say it keeps rain out, others report water getting inside.

Love it!
This is the first tent I have ever bought, all of my camping experiences have been with friends who had extra tents to lend. I shopped for awhile, reading many reviews, considering my budget. I chose this one specifically because of the height. I am 5’9, the one thing I dislike about camping is crouching and not being able to stand up. This one was perfect. Alone, I set it up in 10 min., easy and simple. It is designed very well, inside are loops and a hook for lanterns and such, it had enough room for 2 comfortably with gear. You could squeeze 4 in but little room for stuff. I also chose it because of the two large windows for cross circulation, the door of course has a screen as well as the screened roof. I was in and out alot through the door, zipping open and closed, the zippers are well made and didn’t hang up. There was a rain storm and I was impressed no leaks, rainfly worked great and the zippered windows sealed great. Overall I would highly recommend this brand and specifically this tent, I am very happy with the purchase and the great price.

Excellent buy.
I bought this for a camping trip for me and my sone. I ordered it kind of late, so it didn’t arrive until the day we were leaving. Normally setting up a tent for the first time while at the campsite is a cardinal sin, but we did it with no issues. Easy to understand directions, and really just common sense to set up. The floor space is quite roomy, and for just 2 of us we were able to keep our stuff inside the tent at night. What I really like is how tall the tent is. I’m 5’9” and I could stand up and get dressed without feeling cramped. I also like the ventilation the tent has, as the entire top is see through mesh. It was warm out so we didn’t put the rain fly on and we were able to fall asleep looking at the stars, although the moon was full and bright so the rain fly might have been nice to keep the bright moon from shining in my face all night long.Bottom line: this is a great product and I’m glad I bought it.

Pleased with this tent, but the door zipper can be challenging
This UNP 8 person tent is a nice family tent. It is easy to put up, the mesh top and large windows provide good ventilation. As others have mentioned, the door zipper is a bit challenging – the top curve is hard to close from the outside, almost like it is stretched too tight or maybe the curve angle is too sharp, and the zipper rain covers tend to catch in the zipper. The zipper works fine closing from the inside however, so I had better luck reaching through the opening and pulling the zipper pull from the inside to close it from the outside. When we took the tent down, I saw a loop near the top of the front between the doors that I’m guessing was for the center pole, so not sure if we had put the center pole through that extra loop if it would have changed how the zipper worked on the outside. Will give that a try next time. Another really nice feature is the brackets for the top and side poles come with attached covers to protect the tent fabric when the tent is packed. The carry bag has extra room to compensate for the fact that you never can roll up the tent as small as when it is new.

Very nice, can’t wait to actually use this on a camping trip.
I took this out, to assemble it, to see how big it is, and how hard it would be for one person to put it together. I have a coleman tent that I used last time and was rather easy to put together, but man, putting that back in the bag, oh boy… that coleman sucks, still haven’t tried putting it back in the bag. This is slightly smaller than the Coleman, but it claimed 4 people compared to the Coleman’s 6 plus a porch (which is kind of nice, but not necessary), Assembled, put my airbed in it (full size), and my dogs (two 65lbs 25in and 28in tall dogs), more than enough room. The other thing I was looking for, was a tall tent, so I didn’t have to scrunch down to change clothes, and what not. This is where being short comes in super handy. Luckily, I’m 5′ 5″, so I more than fit inside this thing. THOUGH, there is a bit of fibbery going on with the height. EXTERNAL CENTER HEIGHT is 6ft, internally, you’re at like 5′ 10″ if not slightly less. I know, since I didn’t have to stretch my arm out much to touch the top, and again, I’m only 5′ 5″. Which for me, was not a problem, since the shortest height inside is probably right around 5′ 5″ meaning I can kind of comfortably move around inside without any issue. Even with all three of us inside the tent, I didn’t feel like I was wanting for space. I have more than enough for my camping backpack, shoes, dog bed, etc. Could even put a little table in there if I wanted to. It’s quite cozy. Then the takedown came, and it was super easy. The bag they give you to put the tent in, is more than big enough, but not excessively big, to easily jam the tent and poles in. Folding the tent, thanks to its square nature, also is super easy. Not much harder than folding a king sized comforter.Personally, quite happy with this and the fact that I don’t need a giant 12ft x 20ft tarp as a base. Only negative right off the bat, is the UNIVERSAL NEGATIVE that plagues all tents, and it’s the crappy tent pegs that come with it. I get it, it’s a $120 tent (I got it on sale for like $95), so picking up PROPER steaks was not a huge issue, or that expensive.

This was exactly what I needed. I wanted a tent that I could stand up in, there was enough room for my single mattress and plenty of space for my things. I’m 5ft 2inches. I did buy extra clip on guy ropes and was very pleased I did as it was very windy on my first night, but it stayed up and was dry.
