Really nice set; great colors, high quality and arrived without any damage. The only downside is now I am looking for mugs that match this set because I like it so much.

I ordered this set of TheTerra Ceramic Dinnerware Sets for 4, 12 Pieces Handmade Reactive Glaze Plates and Bowls because I liked the pale pink color and the size and shape of the bowls.This four piece set of dinnerware is made from ceramics; the sales page states that the glaze is both lead-free and cadmium free. Each setting consists of a dinner plate (about 10 1/4” wide), a salad or bread plate (about 8 1/4” wide) and a bowl (about 5 1/2” wide).I ordered this in Primrose Pink; the dinnerwear that I received is an attractive pale pink, but a much lighter color than shown in the sales photos. The ceramic plates and bowls are almost a pale beige with a faint wash of pale pink in the overall glaze. This is a very pretty effect, but much less pink than I had expected. I ordered these thinking ahead to Easter dinner; I have pale green china and bright pink chargers, and thought a pastel set of dishes would pair well with those colors. I can still use these for Easter, but I woukd have preferred the pastel pink in the sales photos.I like the slightly smaller size of the dinner plates in this set; they measure about 10 1/4” across, which is smaller than the USA average for home dinner plates (11.8”) and restaurant plates (13”). The slightly smaller plate size is attractive and works well with vintage china that belonged to my grandmother and great grandmother; back in the 1950s, dinner plates measured about 9”.The petite dinner plates also are an easy way to remember portion control. I’m a type 1 diabetic and need to watch carbs and keep an eye on serving sizes and protein portions; a smaller plate or bowl is a simple visual reminder. I like the small lip on the plates; it’s attractive and makes serving easier. We live in a house in NYC that still has the original English basement kitchen; a previous owner had been a butler in the grand houses of Britain, and he tore out the dumbwaiter because he never wanted to see another one. So we plate downstairs and run food up to the dining room on the ground floor. The little lip is very helpful keeping food on the plate; I love it at breakfast time, as it corrals the blueberries.One reason I ordered this set of ceramic dinnerware was that I liked the size and style of the bowls; our current everyday china has very large, deep bowls. These 5 1/2” wide bowls are around 2” tall; the straight walls of the bowl are attractive and the bowls are a good size for serving cereal, soup, salad, pasta, dessert, and more. My husband loves pasta; he said the bowls are excellent for serving pasta; they hold servings that are generous without being too large.The plates fit nicely into my zippered china containers; the bowls were a bit tall when double stacked, so I wound up storing them in the corners of a larger container, around the center platters.The sales plates said these dishes are dishwasher microvave, and oven safe; I’ve been handwashing to preserve the lovely light glaze, though it’s great to know I can pop these in my dishwasher if I’m in a hurry. They wash up very quickly in the sink, easy to clean.At the current price ($79.99) I think these are in line with other sets of ceramic dinnerware I’ve seen in upscale boutiques in our neighborhood. The quality of this set is very nice; the price is a bit out of our everyday budget, so it was great to try these out through the Vine program.I gave these five stars because they are nicely designed, sturdy, and attractive; I also like the slightly smaller plate and bowl sizes. If I could give these four and a half stars, I might have; I was a bit disappointed that the pink color was really just a slight misting of a super pale pink. But I didn’t think it was worth removing an entire star from a set of dinnerware that met all my other needs; you can tell a lot of thought went into this product, from design all the way to packaging.These came with a small enclosed card with product information and a three month warranty; the card is a parchment color and the font is aesthetically pleasing. The dinnerware is nicely packaged, fine for gifting; it was carefully packed with cardboard and styrofoam cushioning each piece of ceramics, and arrived without a single chip or crack.
