We have had 3 major brand carseats for our first born and needed a backup for the grandparent’s car, so we didn’t want to spend a ton of money and didn’t need too many bells and whistles for just occasional use. My first thought taking this out of the package is how nice the padding was and seemed even more secure than the expensive car seats we have for daily use! I’m embarrassed to say that I have driven home from daycare before only to realize that only one side of my son’s harness was buckled in…you feel so horrible when you make a mistake like that! Well, this carseat has an actual indicator that lets you know that the 5 point harness is correctly fastened which I love! It also has multiple reclining options which is nice, although I do wish it could go back a tad further for when they’re in the floppy neck stage (my guy is 17mo so it’s not an issue now). It was super easy to install and is slim fit so doesn’t take up as much room as our other car seats (one of them also being a slim model). My parents haven’t driven my son very far, but he seems very comfortable and they haven’t had any issues getting him in or out. He hates the car seat in my car and I’m honestly contemplating switching the two since the Disney car seat has been such a positive experience!

Doesnât tilt back enough
This car seat looks cute and all but I donât like that it doesnât tilt back enough when itâs installed in the car. My 6 month old looks so uncomfortable when heâs in it cause he canât lay back a bit. He looks so stiff! I will be returning it.

VERY impressive car seat! Love this one.
There were 2 big draws for us with this car seat, the first and most important was size – our growing family needs to be able to get 3 seats in the back, and if we can’t then we need a new car (!!!), but paramount is the safety of our kids. We will only buy tried and tested seats from reputable manufacturers that we can be CERTAIN will protect them. The description for this particular car seat is a bit vague, I didn’t see any manufacturer listed – just a reference to Disney. Finally, in the pics, I saw “Safety1st” stamped on the buckle, and I know this is a company that has manufactured baby safety products for a long time, and has products we can trust with something as precious as our kids lives. Of course, the Mickey Mouse graphics are adorable, but we don’t look for adorable in carseats. Only safe, trustworthy and reliable. The padding is great, including the head piece and straps to keep baby comfortable. The 5 point safety harness is used in every infant seat I looked at but this one has an additional layer of protection for peace of mind, there is a color coding on the latch, green means baby is properly buckled in. Red means baby is NOT properly buckled in. Let me say here that if you are looking for a gift for first time parents, that feature alone is worth it’s weight in gold – if they aren’t used to latching car seats, then the visual confirmation of the green indicator gives them the confidence and peace of mind knowing that they have done it right and their baby is safe. Once you’ve been in an accident is definitely NOT the time to realize that the harness wasn’t properly latched. And the color coding eliminates every doubt, I know that the tension is correct and the 5 point harness is properly working and protecting the baby. I love that even though I’ve had plenty of experience with car seats, I never, ever have to wonder with the color confirmation. The padding is removeable and washable – a MUST with any baby. It can be front or rear facing depending on your baby’s age and safety needs. The chair has 5 reclining positions. Great gift for first time parents or for your own baby. Well thought out product made by a well known and trusted name in safety.
