Great Little Pack
Great little pack for charging some device back to usable. It won’t bring anything up to full charge but that’s not its design goal. It’s purpose is to get whatever you have back to usable for a time and this thing fits that purpose perfectly. As well you can get PD triggers to allow harvesting of 9 or 12volts to power QRP rigs or accessories. Fit and finish is excellent with decent quality jacks. The durability seems good and portability is high. Form factor is either good or bad depending on your space limitations but overall a great pack.UPDATE: Nov 23, 2022. I just ordered a second one because most other battery packs shut off with zero current being pulled. I run PD and QC triggers and most other banks will shut down if the load doesn’t exceed some current threshold such as 100mA (my worst banks).Keep in mind Ohms Law and the conservation of energy, where all battery banks are rated at their battery voltage. P=VxI, 3.6Vx5A=18Wh max available. Since all battery banks use step up switching converters to get to usable voltages, and given that leading industry power conversion efficiency is around 75%, you can only attain 13.5Wh of energy out after conversion. 13.5Wh/5V = 2.7Ah. For a 5V load, you will only get 2700mAhr maximum out of this or any other 5000mAh battery bank.
Honest feedback from an honest guy –
It just works! Awesome product!
I purchased this product to power an LED controller for my cosplay. It performed brilliantly, sustaining a 6.5-foot stretch of LEDs for several hours. Due to its compact size, I could easily conceal it. This battery bank is the smallest I could find, which turned out to be incredibly handy. Consequently, I bought three more, as the demand for small, concealable battery banks in cosplay is quite high. I would highly recommend this product to anyone in need of a small yet reliable battery bank. The LED strip required approximately 5V 2A to light up, and this product delivered the necessary power without a hitch.

Compact, USB-C PD, decent build quality
Delivers as promised. Weighs 4.3oz and packs 5000 mAh with USB-C Power Delivery input/output. Other comparable power banks were either bigger and/or heavier or had less energy capacity. I bought these for putting them inside heated gloves. The default batteries in those gloves weigh 3.4 oz and provided 2400mAh, so more than doubling the capacity with a small increase in weight is a good trade-off for my use case.On/off rant: The one thing lacking — also the reason I didn’t give it a perfect 5 — is that it doesn’t have a power off button that turns off automatically charging whatever’s connected to it. Most power banks don’t seem to support that feature and neither does this one, but I need it because those stupid old-school companies that manufacture heated gloves and jackets and the like have circuitry that keeps drawing and dissipating power as wasteful heat even though their own on/off button is off, so the only way to turn those poorly designed products completely off is by disconnecting their battery (like this power bank) altogether. I plan to just solder a little switch myself to the male USB-A tip I plan to plug into this power bank to have an off button to address my problem. Although the leaky-power design of the gloves is not this power bank’s fault, I don’t see why these power banks can’t simply come with a toggle on/off button that disables/enables the automatic charging mode. It is such a highly requested feature, as is obvious from the inevitable use questions enquiring about it. (Note: there is a button on this power bank, but like the button on most other power banks, it’s only purpose is to show on a 4-point scale the charge percentage, not to turn charging on or off.)My 4 rating is more like a 4.5. To get a 5 rating from me, a power bank must have the following features features: (1) an off button to disable the auto-charging mode when it’s not needed; (2) a digital charge percentage indicator, not a coarse-grained 4-point scale; (3) USB-C PD input/output. This power bank has the third, but not the first two.Price-wise, it’s not the cheapest, but given USB-C PD and the energy capacity and form factor, it is worth the cost.

Great features, battery life is terrific and for all for a great price.
I’ve purchased a few of these and they’re pretty damned great. They aren’t flat bricks but that can be a plus for some applications. For example, I run some USB fans via these devices and it helps the fan stand upright. Also, with USB-A and USB-C (PD) ports, you don’t have to worry about adapters OR….again, for uses like little USB powered fans or lights, you can plug a device into each end and they won’t interfere with each other. Charges up quickly. I cannot believe the price is still under 12 dollars for these – I recommend picking up a few.

USB-C out doesn’t work
All I want is a small ~5000 mA-Hr battery that outputs ~18W over USB-C to charge my iPhone fast. I bought this battery knowing the price was likely too good to be true and the brand is iffy.I followed the directions and charged this battery before trying to charge my phone. With my iPhone 13 Pro connected via a USB-C to lightning cable, the phone does not charge. The battery % does not increase. The four lights on the battery flash together. The charging indicator on my phone flashes on and off. I’ve tried other devices too.I use a Klein Tools ST920 to test battery charge/discharge. It also flashes on and off with this battery. It seems to output OK via USB-A, but that’s not what I want. This battery is advertised and labeled for USB-C output. Wrong. In addition to these problems:- The certificate for http://www.nrggo.com expired on 8/29/2023. Error code: SEC_ERROR_EXPIRED_CERTIFICATE- No reply from nrgGo support email.

Seems like charge should last longer for size/weight
This thing is very big and very heavy, it works well and has a nice port assortment, but doesn’t seem to last much longer than a much smaller Anker bank that I have.
