I got the shaft from Amazon and Portal
Updating my review July 16 2024. This pass weekend I went camping and used this tent. In my pass reviews I had issues when I bought this tent back in January of this year, I was missing a lot of parts to this tent, the only parts I received was the tent itself, the 3 top fiberglass poles for the roof of the tent, 6 poles for the 4 corners, front, and back of the tent. Now of course i wasn’t aware of the items missing until I went camping last month. I ended up buying 10 poles from the campground office and using a tarp for the roof I had, plus tie down 5/50 cord I had as well. To make things work. Once I got back home, the roller coaster began. I called Amazon, they told me to call Portal for help, I online chatted with Portal and they told me to call Amazon for help, lol. So I called Portal customer services, unfortunately the guy who I spoke to couldn’t help with my missing items, however he gave a phone number to call to their main HQ, the owners of Portal, Portal is just a small branch off of a larger company. Mind you this calling, chatting, and emailing took about 3 weeks. After back and forth emails. Last Monday I received a very large package in the mail. Not only did they send me the parts I was missing, but they sent me a whole new tent with the parts I was missing. Took me 3-4 weeks, but i finally got my problem solve better then i wanted it solved in the first place.NOW FOR THE ACTUAL REVIEW: Yes the tent is very spacious, it’s about 10×20, I didn’t use the divider and I used a 22” high queen size blown up mattress as my bed, plenty of room. We went camping at Put-in-Bay, Ohio and our campsite was located on the Clift edge of the island. It was a beautiful site to wake up to every morning. On the last two days of our camping trip strong winds was coming off the lake and a nasty thunderstorm came out of nowhere. We had 14 mph winds with 24 mph gusts. On a Clift side we was getting hit with all the wind. As for the tent, no problem it held up, of course the sides curved in, but nothing came close to looking like it would fall over or cave in. We was perfectly safe inside the tent. I think my issue buying this was a fluke and more likely will not happen again. So yes I will buy this product again and yes of course I refer them to anyone who’s looking for a great spaces, sturdy, open screened roof, plenty of windows, camping tent.OLD PREVIOUS HEADACHE REVIEWS:I purchased this tent back in January and didn’t get chance to look at, that’s on me. You need to find the time to do that. OR YOU’LL GET THE SHAFT.Me and my gf started to set this up this pass weekend. We noticed we was missing a lot parts. All we had was the tent, poles to put the tent together, and the center divider. It came with no stakes, the rain fly, awning and poles, the mud mat, and rope tie downs. The tent is big as it says it is, it doesn’t fit 4 queens as in the description, unless you stack em, but it’s my first tent you can actually stand up in. It was easy to set up and It does have a very nice open view to see the stars, but if it rains and you have no rain fly, your screwed.Update: I contacted Portal and they told me since I bought it through Amazon I had to contact them for any assistance. I contacted Amazon and they told me it’s the accessory pack that I was missing. However since it’s pass Amazon’s warranty date they couldn’t help me and told me to contact Portal for help. We know what Portal said, so I asked Amazon if I could buy the accessory pack through them. Amazon said no, because they discontinued the tent. Weird part is, it still shows up on their site, but for $100 more then what I paid for it. Anyways, I asked for a refund. They said since it’s out of the warranty date I would only get 80% of my return, but since I’m missing the accessory pack, I would only get 50% of my return instead. WOW like I said the shaft! I’ll just keep the tent and makeshift the missing pieces with rope and tarps. I’ll never buy a tent from Amazon or a Portal tent ever again. Shame it was a nice tent to.I been an Amazon Prime member since 2014.Update, i finally called Amazon customer service, they could help me, but they did give me a phone number to call. I called that number and its customer service for the owners of Portal. Portal is just a branch off of a much bigger company. They said they’ll send me what I’m missing all I have to do is provided them with my address and a copy of the Amazon purchase. Just had jump through a dozen loops to get to this point. Never give up, there’s always a way to win.

LOVE this tent!
Took this tent to a two-day concert and it was excellent.1. Having shade attached makes it have one less thing to bring along. If you camp for concerts, you know shade is at a premium, and this awning has the same footprint as the 10×10 pop-ups most people use. LOVE that. This isn’t a vanity item, it is very functional!2. Tent is a beast. It’s big enough for ten grown adults to hang out inside when some storms blew through. Everyone has room to stretch out and relax while staying perfectly dry. Plus, the awning let us keep the doors open for airflow since the wind was blowing at the back. That was kind of luck, but it was still awesome. Two nights of rain, no water on the inside.3. The material used for the bottom of the tent is MUCH nicer than the crinkly crunchy stuff I’m used to. This was quite nice to walk on and has the added benefit of being much quieter at night.4. I was able to put the tent up entirely myself with little struggle. The way it is engineered is very, very stable in each of the steps. I was genuinely impressed at how little I struggled to put up this enormous tent myself.5. It actually packs away in the carry case without having to be an origami master. I laid everything out flat, folded the sides in, folded it in half lengthwise, and rolled. Even with the enormous pole bag (the poles on this tent are BEEFY) it went in without me having to wrestle. I did kneel on the roll as I went to get as much air out as possible, but I didn’t have to be perfect about it.The only sort of downside is that this thing is HEAVY in its carry case. But there’s no way around that if you want sturdy, and I did. This is the best tent I have ever owned, and I hope it lasts a good long time. Excellent value for the price. I couldn’t be happier.

Canopy Part Pools Water, Otherwise Great!
The tent itself is great. Seems to be a quality material, kept the rain out, wasn’t overly hot, or flimsy. One of the tent poles is broken, but only by the inner cord. The pole still connects, but the cord inside became severed. Should be an easy fix. The Canopy part of the tent pools water pretty bad. Seems to be an oversight. Our solution was to use the pole intended to be at the middle of the Canopy, to either side, creating a lean-to effect for the Canopy part. This would still pool, but not as bad. Something to be aware of. Definitely not a true 10 person tent, I’m sure you could squeeze 10 people in there, but not comfortably. You can fit 2 queen size mattresses, with cargo room for each and decent amount of floor space. Single person setup is possible for master campers, but a second or even third person is ideal. I noticed the tent pole at the rear and front of the tent in the middle section, seems to be raised by a few inches on either side. Make sure you have the upmost flat ground possible, or this effect will worsen, possibly causing a tear or rip. It’s a snug fit getting the poles in place at the end.Clean up is decent, have fun getting the tent back in the bag, along with poles, stakes, and bags for both. I tossed mine in a large garbage bag, and am keeping the poles/stakes in the tent bag itself. Seems to be the best option with rain and mud being a regularly occurring factor to consider. All in all the tent has held up so far, only used it twice and already had a tent pole severed, doesn’t effect functionality as of yet but I’m aware of it nonetheless. Speed of set up and removal is fair, could be much worse. Comes with a divider for privacy inside, creating separate rooms/spaces. And a cargo holder to place at the top.

Really enjoyed this tent. My husband is 6’3” and he could stand inside the tent with plenty more head room. I also really liked that it had a sizeable canopy attached so I didn’t need to get a separate one. We hung out there most of the time and protected our food from tree debris.Update: We took this on a rainy camping trip and it kept us dry for the most part even without using an additional rain fly overtop. Water did seep in from the bottom even with a tarp underneath the tent. Luckily, we had these waterproof felt flooring material we used for inside the tent so we didn’t even realize water had seeped in until we were packing up.

I love the tent, I’m glad we went with this size as it isn’t too big or too small. We don’t use the divider, but we fit a queen size and twin air mattress side by side on one end and have room for all our gear on the other side. Super easy to put up and take down, I only wish the rain flap had clear portions so we could see the sky or rain. Really happy with this purchase!

The tent came with all the parts, easily erected with 2 people, one person is doable, may be a little challenging in a wind. Ground pegs are nice and solid, tent line is reflective, overall a good looking tent. I cannot testify for the waterproofing at this moment, but it would have been nice to come with a ground sheet. The fabric seams appear to be well sealed, double stitched , and it is good to see some thought went into the order of stitching, having the overlap farcing down to prevent water pooling and at the window bases in the opening of the tent, slits provide access for water to leave that will collect behind the screened window. This is a great attempt to make a 4 season tent it is Very close, I have not slept in it as yet during the winter, and will have to make reservations on that behalf. Thanks for the increased effort to all those involved, in the tents development, this is a solid tent for what you pay… Good luck all and happy camping.

This review has 2 portions.[Original, submitted around 22 July 2024]It rained about only 4mm on 20 July in Montreal. Although I had a heavy duty tarp below the tent, water still seeped in from the bottom, through the base layer which is pretty thin. To its credit, water did not come in through the top, or the seams.I had bought this tent to upgrade in size from my 3m by 3m Decathlon tent, but this is a disappointing buy.[Update, submitted around 17 Aug 2024]In late July, the manufacturer contacted me and has satisfactorily addressed the product issue that I experienced. As a result of the positive customer service, I am upgrading the review from 1 star to 3 star.
