Love this tent!
I absolutely love this tent! It is very well thought out, and I can use it with my car or set it up as a freestanding tent that I can stand up in. I have a cargo box on the back and the opening is large enough that I can slip the tent over the cargo box and have the box inside the tent as a table. It has lots of straps to attach it to my car and very sturdy Elastic around the skirt that fits over the back of the car.It is fairly easy to set up, but donât expect to get much detailed instruction from the Chinese created pictograph instructions. I have chosen to set it up without staking it down and then sliding it up around my cargo carrier in the back of my car. If I drive away, I slide it off the cargo carrier and the car before moving my car, which could be a little problematic if you have a lot of things inside the tent.It is fairly waterproof, but the screen window on the back side leaks around the zipper. Probably some seam seal will fix that as it does have some protection where the zipper is that doesnât seem to work very well. I have had a similar tent and they all seem to collect water at the bottom of the skirt where it runs off the car and into the skirt, but the floor of the tent stayed dry, except for the dripping zipper. It is definitely the best option and a good value for the price.

Simple and sufficient
The setup of the tent is pretty simple. We used it on our 2017 Chrysler Pacifica (PHEV). Tent didn’t come with instructions to secure to car. I watched a couple videos on how to secure other tents to the car so had a good idea. The tent held up well to the winds at our beach camping spot. Itâs not great quality but good value for the money. The fit wasnât perfect but good enough. Using this tent for a couple more trips to see if we really want to get into car camping.Tip- I would clean the back of the car and bumper before using next time. The life gate was dirty and left marks on the tent. The kids would sit on the bumper to move form van to tent so I had to wipe it with a baby wipe.We also paid $130 after taxes after applying a $35 coupon. 5/2024

Pretty Good
Considering the price, it’s a 5-star product. We enjoyed using the A/C in the Tesla and in camp mode. The tent stayed nice and cool with no humidity. The Tesla’s hatchback seemed a bit too large for this tent, but it might have fit better if I had pulled it closer. Overall, it works well and gets the job done. The dogs liked the tent being cooler than outside too.

Great value buy
Not bad! The tent is quite spacious. It is held up by 3 fiberglass poles in the ‘H’ formation with the middle bar going over the sides creating the awnings for the two doors. There’s a window opposite the trunk opening that is closed off via mesh. The trunk opening can be fully closed off for driving away and also features a similar window.I wouldn’t call it “easy”to set up but I did manage to set it up for the first time by my 5’3” self, within 45 minutes. I did it on my patio where I can use the railings and wall to prop up one side. The trick I learned was to build it in the order as you’d write an ‘H’, vertical, horizontal, vertical. The instructions say 30 min for 2 people to set up but I can see it taking less with practice. All the zippers are doubled on each track and all are dual sided. I tried them all and one got caught in the fabric but was easy to pull off if you catch it quick. All openings have mesh and weather layers. The trunk side is lined with elastic.Taking it down is pretty standard. Reverse the steps, fold in to 4ths and roll. I like that the bag has extra space in case you can’t fold and roll perfectly. Final size is small and very light.

Warning!
I was setting the tent up in the garage this am… laid tent fabric out on floor, inserted fiberglass rods in both sides and top, raised one side, was raising the other side, heard crack, one rod broke off with fractures running a couple inches from the end.  I removed rods, rolled up the tent, put it back in box, got return order from Amazon and dropped it off at UPS.  Warning! I noticed when I started inserting the rods into the sleeves on the tent that both thumbs and index fingers on both hands felt like they had tiny slivers on both hands. I couldn’t see anything but scraped them with my finger nails seemed to remove whatever was pricking them. But as I continued inserting the rods, I felt slivers in several other fingers and had the same experience several times until I stopped handling the rods. It’s been 6 hours since then and I am still getting the sliver feeling when I pick things up or type on my iPad and continued scraping has made the feeling less and less. Not a good experience… hoping for full recovery! It’s been 2 days and my fingers are still stinging. Absolutely need to wear gloves when handling fiberglass rods!

Fits a lifted Tacoma
Itâs larger than expected but actually very simple to set up. The poles are color coordinated and instructions are clear and easy. Although the stakes are very weak and flimsy will need some heavier duty ones. Will update after I take it camping.

Worked Great with my Pacifica
I didn’t give it all stars because the instructions weren’t very thorough. The tent has eyelets for the single pole that went down the middle but the other two poles had a hole bolt on each corner that goes inside the poles. That wasn’t indicated in the instructions. I mostly set it up by myself and that wasn’t too bad.I also suggest you buy strudier tent spikes which I had already done. The ones that come with the tent are cheap and bend quite easily. It also didn’t come with a rain cover so I can’t say that is is waterproof. I imagine with all the seams it may leak with a heavy rain. So I’ll be looking for a rain cover to be prepared.
