Holy grail makeup remover!
this cleansing oil from The Face Shop has been amazing! It melts off all my makeup at night and leaves my skin feeling super clean and soft! I could feel it unclogging my pores , like little bits of sebum coming out, it doesn’t break me out (even though it’s an oil), smells nice and the packaging is super cute! Total must have in my skincare routine!

Effective but has a really oily finish
The product removes all makeup remarkably well. My only complaint is that the oil is quite heavy and leaves substantial oiliness behind.

Good but if sensitive to fragrance then skip
I enjoy this facial oil as getting off my makeup. It does have a strong fragrance and I always somehow get it in my mouth all of the time. The fragrance can be too overwhelming so if your sensitive to fragrance i would skip. It does have a slippery and wet consistency and it’s very thin and and water like unlike the other oils I’ve tried.

Light cleansers, won’t remove heavy make up
This emulsify like it should for me but it didn’t for my mother’s skin, and her skin is the oily type, mine is combination.This will NOT remove heavy make up, especially certain waterproof heavy mascaras/eyeliners, it’ll just make it smudge and won’t come off ( I was wearing Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara). I use this on days that I’m only wearing sunscreen/moisturizer or just very light make up and use another cleanser if I’m wearing make up. Also another thing, for these oil cleanser, it’s recommended that you should use another cleanser after this. They called oil cleanser as “first cleanser” and then there’s the “second cleanser”.There’s a lot of these “Top Korean Beauty Routine” and such but be really careful. What they recommend or say they’re using, might not work for YOU. And another thing, It’s NEVER wise to introduce or start off with all the fancy steps.Hopefully before you start, you know what your skin type is and buy the products accordingly.Start off with ONE product at a time. Your skin might need adjustment and getting used to it. Test it and see if it works for YOU. And if you’re using a bunch of products at a time, if there’s any problems, you won’t know which one cause it. Also beware of fake products, yes, there are amazon sellers that sell fakes (Even the ones that amazon sponsor). Unless you’re unfamiliar with the korean products, I wouldn’t recommend amazon. at.all. Also no Ebay unless it’s a trustworthy seller (one I use is roseroseshop—price probably beat yesstyle and jolse the majority of the time but the downside is they run out of stock pretty often and doesn’t have a HUGE selection.My “lazy” going out DAY routine.My skin is combination (oily/dry), so for oily skin, aloe vera and green tea products is good. For oil control, what works best for me is the SkinFood Peach Sake Serum/Toner, though there’s a new line so it’s now Peach Cotton. Do not buy the Peach Sake line, by now, it’s expired already (they discontinued the Peach Sake Line). A note, using the oil control serum does dry your skin, so make sure you layer some light moisturizer after using it.Nature Republic Fresh Green Tea Cream, this is a very light moisturizer and absorbs very nicely. Oily skin DO need moisturizing, moisturizing and oil control are two different thing. Don’t dry out your skin.Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Powder is probably the best at controlling oil and minimal flashback (the powder shows when you take a picture with flash)The sunscreen I use is the Biore watery essence, it does make your face shiny so I use the Innisfree no sebum as the last step.All the Steps in my “lazy” going out routine: Toner, Peach Sake Serum/ Peach Cotton, Nature Republic Green Tea Cream, Biore sunscreen, Innisfree powder.NIGHT routine:I would love to recommend some but I use a variety of products depending on how my skin “feels” that day. I use heavy moisturizers and sleeping mask at night. Also a completely different “set” of products.

I have found this cleansing oil to be a valuable addition to my nightly skincare routine. This product is lightweight, gentle on the skin, and effectively removes impurities.For those with sensitive skin, this product is a win. Its gentleness means it won’t cause irritation or allergic reactions, which is a major plus. It’s worth noting that it has lasted me 4 months with daily use – impressive longevity which offers good value for its price.However, one small drawback that I’ve encountered is some eye irritation. It’s unclear whether this is due to the oil cleanser or the face wash I use afterward, but it’s something to keep in mind when using this product.This cleansing oil fulfills its claims and should definitely be taken into consideration. I am excited to keep using it as part of my skincare routine.

I use this as part of my double cleanse routine in the evening. I’m in my 40’s and have normal to oily skin. This cleanser is gentle enough for me to use on my sensitive skin and eyes. I like that the oil is very lightweight, key if you’re more oily/acne prone. Oil cleansing dissolves oil! Oil cleansing can help balance out sebum production and remove sunscreen/oil based makeup easily! A bottle typically lasts me 3 months of use.I start by pumping about 2/3 squirts into my hand and then gently lathering on my face. I like to message it into my face which also helps remove impurities. As mentioned I also use it on my eyes to remove liner and mascara with no irritation. With any oil cleanser it needs to be emulsified with water. This turns the oil into a creamy consistency before you rinse it off.I follow up with La Roche Posay gel cleanser as my second cleanse. Lastly I use Bioderma on a cotton round to remove any residue. This has made such a difference in my skin!
