Mini bricks, not lego compatible
First off, these are not Lego compatible, they are a little smaller. Thankfully, they are still high quality bricks that fit together well. The smaller size means they are a little more awkward/frustrating to work with if you are used to normal sized bricks, but not nearly as bad as micro sized. The hard parts are mainly when working with small bricks, especially 1x1s. The smaller size also means the design has a more detailed appearance and takes up less space. The design of this is pretty great. Lots of NPU (Nice Parts Usage), with things like crowbars, gears and other neat details. Overall, it has a very steampunk type of feel, obviously not a realistic looking reptile. The joints are actually pretty decent. They snap together easily and stay together well which is not always the case with off brand lego products. The design also uses good building techniques to create a solid build so it won’t fall apart easily. The use of SNOT bricks (Studs Not On Top) gives the overall appearance a very finished look.I would recommend this set to anyone that is into this style of product and doesn’t mind mini bricks.

Crocodile kit
Instructions are easy to understand similar to Lego kits. Parts are smaller than your average Lego set. My son is 10 and can put together age 18+ kits no problem but he stalled out on this one. He’s not pumped about the smaller pieces. I think it’s useful as a more challenging kit though. Price seems reasonable for the size and difficulty of the kit.

Challenging Build with Tiny Pieces
While the miniature set design is visually appealing, the assembly process is far from user-friendly. The abundance of tiny parts, randomly packed in multiple bags, makes it tedious to sort and handle, even for an adult male. Fragile connections between pieces and easily dropped components only add to the frustration. Despite clear instructions, the diminutive illustrations demand sharp focus, which detracts from the overall enjoyment.

NOT compatible with the full-sized major brick brands!
All the fun of Lego at (75%?) the size. (Great for space-saving, but a bit more difficult to handle for either smaller fingers (VERY youngin’s) or poor saps with neuropathy.

Ohhhh, the detail
While building this is was surprised at the design and detail level. Very fun and well worth it.

Ok building set
The pieces are decent quality, but as stated, this is a mini set, thus not compatible with most other building sets. The directions are ok, not terrible to follow but not great. The pictures and booklet could definitely be bigger making it easier to follow. For the money, I do not feel this a good value.

Lots of tiny parts that are hard to manage
Ordered this for my kids (7 and 9) thinking it was some sort of a mechanical project that we could build together. However, it turned out to be a LEGO set. The description is not super clear on this but if I paid more attention, I wouldâve noticed that, so this is my mistake. I should admit that the crocodile looks very cool in the pictures and the kids were very excited at first. Once we opened the package and realized how many parts there were and how small most of them were, the kids became much less enthusiastic about it. They certainly needed my help to proceed with the project but even though, we found that assembling it could be a real challenge. For once, the parts are sealed in several plastic bags. At first, I thought they would be arranged by the assembly steps, but that is not true (at least with my package). Everything seems to be packed randomly so youâd have to open all the bags and keep searching for whatever parts you need at the current assembly step that could be in different bags. Because of this, lots of time is spent just searching for the parts. It is also very easy to drop and lose some of them. I believe it wouldâve been better to split the assembly process into several major stages and pack the parts accordingly. Another thing to mention is that some of the connections between the parts are not strong so the parts could be falling out from the assembly just due to very gentle handling. This presents additional challenges. Finally, the kids got tired and now Iâm the only one not yet willing to give up on this project. If time permits, I will try to finish it and update my review if I find more issues. On the positive side, the instructions are good and easy to follow, although certain pictures of parts appear tiny, so you have to pay attention when identifying them.

An awesome mini building block set.
This mini crocodile building block set is a nice quality for the value that you pay. The crocodiles hands, tail, and mouth can move flexibly. There are 584 mini building pieces to build this crocodile and there is a nameplate. The recommended age group for this building block set is 8+ and older. It’s easy to follow the directions to assemble this set.
