Fascinating build and great display piece for ancient history enthusiasts!
As someone who is fascinated by ancient history, I couldn’t resist purchasing this Lego-compatible build set to produce an interesting conversation piece for my living room. It is challenging, especially when constructing the stony plateau on which the Parthenon rests, but the construction manual is clearly illustrated for most of the build.I was a bit confused by the diagrams illustrating the support structure for the deck supporting the Parthenon, however, because of the angle of the view in the diagram. I ended up spacing the supports through trial and error to create the most stable surface for it.My fellow history buffs were really impressed with the finished piece!

Beautiful display set!!
Really good! Love it and a great companion to my Lego pyramid!!! It’s not historically accurate of course, but a nice display of some of the most famous landmarks in Athens placed in a more compacted scene in order to showcase them. The Amphitheater, the hippodrome, the Agora with the Stoas, the Port, the City Wall, some residential areas, the Acropolis, and the Parthenon. Not all buildings are in the same scale as the needs of the design and the display value are taken into consideration. For example the beautiful Parthenon is bigger than it should and sits atop of the acropolis like its crown jewel, this is done for effect and the result is very good indeed. The hippodrome is a bit smaller but this is due to size limitation, looks great anyways…and all these things could be modified to your liking very easily. Same size base as the pyramid.

A beautiful model with some quality & print issues
I had a blast building this over a few evenings! And I must say, it’s really captivating and well designed overall. The scale is incredible and the creative details impressive. The quality is good for the price, but not great. I was ultimately able to work around the issues, but they definitely made things harder.Issue 1: Instructions. I can’t make out the studs on the dark blue pieces, making placement and stud counting impossible. The light grey and sand colors were too close, I confused them often. The instructions don’t outline individual bricks, so it’s tough to see how they’re laid out next to one another, especially when they’re dark blue, clear, transparent blue.See images for quality issues. A handful of bricks were deformed, making it impossible to connect them. I had to take pliers and break the inner column on some to use them. Others I could ignore because of the spare parts included in the set. A few were just plain bad molds. All that said, for the price and design quality, I’d buy this brand again, I just hope they get the quality & print issues sorted.

Cool once done but wouldn’t buy again
The product comes in bags labeled 1-4 with a step by step book. However, the steps in the book are often frustrating because it’s out of order. Compared to actual Lego architecture sets, these legos seemed very difficult to snap on. The trees and white columns you make at the end don’t really snap on well at all. The pictures in the book are in color but building this was also frustrating because the pictures are at an angle that often leaves you putting the legos in the incorrect spot. All in all I’d say it’s a cool architecture piece and took a bit of guess work to complete. I probably wouldn’t recommend it for anyone easily frustrated aha.

Worth every cent
It was a fun build and looks amazing. There were times where it was a precarious build but the end result is gorgeous.

not a lego
Great item that is not a lego build, but still a nice item for building. Not very good instructions but the finished product is nice.

Don’t waste your time or money
Definitely not Lego quality.I finally got a chance to put this together and it didn’t work correctly. I am either missing a few bags or the instructions were off. I had to open the 2nd set of bags while still working on the first set of bags just to have enough pieces to finish the first set of instructions. The pieces do not sit firmly or align correctly. At times, I would try to get a piece to fit correctly, and several other pieces would snap off. If I could return this, I would. Do not waste your money.or time with this.I went onto Rebrickable and typed in Athens and it is showing as being done by JL Bricks. Interesting.

My Classics-loving 10 Year-old’s Favorite Gift!
My ten year-old was so excited to find this on Amazon in time to get it into his Christmas list since he’s all about Ancient Greece and Rome. It was even more spectacular than expected when we opened it up and got started. He loves the way the mountain is constructed with trees and shrubbery along the jagged edges, and the ocean with its harbor and boats was a nice touch. It was a challenge for him to build this with only minimal assistance from me, but a good one! The pillars can be especially difficult and may have been the one difference in fit from actual Legos, but we worked through it and it’s still solid even though a few pieces seemed precarious at first. We somehow did lose a piece during the build, but we subbed in the same size Lego piece and it fit perfectly. He’s already scouting out the Coliseum for his birthday, which he thinks will make a good companion piece to his Acropolis.

Luv this model of Acropolis. Was sceptical since not Lego brand but was proven wrong. The only thing about set is was missing few pieces especially 2 main colulmns of Athena temple but I didnt call in. Also the Odeon could of been 2x the size and would of made it more accurate and better over all. The Athena temple could of beem 1cm taller and more colourful since we know the ancient temples were colourful and not white we see today.

This set is an awesome awesome set on so many levelsFirst the quality of the set is on par with the big L in terms of bricks and instructions. The instructions maybe a bit tricky for new builders with that said. The final visual of the set brings to life a landmark that has such historical significance that to see it in this for is amazing. This is one of the best alternative sets I have come across especially for Canadian builders and I can’t recommend it enough

I love the end result. Not terribly difficult to put together but there is limited rhyme and reason to how the pieces are packaged so you spend a lot of time searching for what you need at each stage. Still, I am happy with it.

Wow! You can’t even imagine how beautiful this is when its completed! My granddaughter wanted this for Christmas and had it done by the first week of January. She loved it and loved working on it.

Missing pieces so unable to build
