Best yoga mat for my knee replacement
I don’t normally write reviews but this time I really have to share. This mat is absolutely the best mat I’ve ever tried for yoga because it’s non stick, doesn’t shift around, and the cushioning is just right for my knee that I had a knee replacement on 4 months ago. I can get rid of my other 2 mats now because this one does it all and I will buy again in the future.

Being a new-comer to yoga, I didn’t know a lot about the supplies I needed and did a lot of research before settling on the Clever Yoga mat. I absolutely made the right choice; this mat is fantastic! My old mat slid all over the place and was too soft so I couldn’t keep my balance well. The Clever Yoga mat stays in place, and the 1/4″ thickness is soft enough to cushion my knees but firm enough that I can still hold my poses. I also love that it’s made with environmentally friendly, non-toxic materials. It’s lightweight, easy to clean and initially had only the slightest hint of an odor which quickly dissipated. This mat does not come with a carrying strap, but I purchased a Clever Yoga mat strap for about $7.00, and that too is a great product as it can also double as a yoga strap. My one issue: the ends of the mat don’t lay completely flat, but I attribute this to the lighter materials used, and this is just me nit-picking. It’s not that big of a deal as the rest of the qualities more than outweigh this one tiny negative. Overall, this is a great mat for a very reasonable price and I would recommend Clever Yoga products to anyone looking to get into yoga. Side note: The customer service of Clever Yoga is also great; I received multiple emails from the company owner checking to make sure I received my products (which I did very quickly) and making sure I was happy with everything. It’s so refreshing to be treated with such care and interest.

Solid & Grippy Yoga Mat
This yoga mat is strong and substantial, grippy and much improved step up from my cheap wally world mat that shredded. So far I’ve used it in yoga class twice, both times appreciating the mat’s length where my face would normally overhang or feet, and the solid thickness preventing pain in my tailbone in boat pose. Great mat!6/18/18 update: time to shop for a new mat. This mat has become annoying because its thickness actually interferes with balance poses and it has stopped laying flat. I think it has become stretched out and lays wavy on the floor. Rolling the edge up for knees requires holding it there because it will not stay rolled, immediately unrolling when released. The only mat in the class that does that. I tried to be frugal but I’m convinced I just have to pay for a quality mat.

Best mat ever
First, im a yoga instructor-a pregnant yoga instructor-and have become very particular about my mat. It takes me FOREVER to decide on one and actually pull the trigger in buying one. This one was tough because of the reviews mentioning slipping since Iâm preggo, but I was drawn in by the positive reviews and the fact that itâs free of chemicals. I could not be happier with this mat and the service from Clever Yoga. I want to work for them! Lol they immediately emailed and let me know they were there if I had any questions and gave me tips for making the mat less prone to slipping (not needed as I donât practice bikram and canât really get sweaty due to my baby belly), but I appreciated it none the less. I got a follow up email once it arrived making sure everything was good. It (the mat and the customer service) exceeded any expectations I had! I do not slip AT ALL, itâs the perfect density and thickness, seems durable, and does not have any hint of a scent straight out of the package. Iâm so thankful for such a great product and will probably buy this mat in every color just because. If youâre questioning buying this just stop and click âbuy nowâ. You wonât be sorry.

Great mat for a great price!
I love this mat! It is so comfortable and soft, but I still feel stable and balanced on it. It is about 1.5 inches wider than most standard mats, which I appreciate, being a bigger person. I just did a half hour vinyasa practice on it and did not have any issues with slipping. It has a tiny bit of odor just out of the package, but it didn’t bother me and I expect the smell will dissipate. I just received the mat today and yes, the ends are curled a bit, but it has been rolled up in plastic for who knows how long, so a little curling is to be expected. I’m just going to roll it in the opposite direction and see if that helps. I really like this mat and I am very glad I bought it.**update** Curling the mat in the opposite direction overnight did the trick. The mat now lies flat.

A good starter mat, but does break down over time
This mat was a good starter mat for me to use while figuring out how much I would be practicing and what kind of yoga I liked best. Good density, nice color selection, and a great value. However, almost 10 months in I am finding that this mat has begun to stretch out and compress. Whereas before I found it a good solid base for most poses, now I find myself wobbling or having to move around to find a place that is even. Downward dog has become difficult as the mat slips and bunches around my hands and feet. I’ve also not found that the mat repels moisture, mine has all kinds of dark marks all over it from sweat that don’t remove with cleaning. All in all this was a good purchase and I would recommend this mat to the casual yoga participant for long term use, or a frequent yoga participant for getting an idea of what you’re looking for in a mat.

Soy una persona que suda muchÃsimo y el piso de mi departamento es resbaloso. Este tapete funciona increÃblemente con la parte antideslizante para el piso, ya que he sudado mucho evidentemente empiezo a deslizarme un poco en él pero no me resbalo como para caerme ni nada por el estilo. El grosor es ideal para no sentir el piso pero tampoco para que se vea tan grande. Es el mejor tapete que he tenido.
