These are blocks of wood – what can I say?
I’m not a craft or woodworking person, but I needed a few blocks of wood and these were the right size for the job. I didn’t have access to a saw or to someone to cut them for me, so it was just easier to order these from Amazon. Was it a good value? I don’t think so, but it was convenient.These appear to be good quality, but I’m not an expert. They came well packaged, and they were cut all exactly to the same size, and appear to have an even and unblemished finish. these blocks are well made and easy to use for my crafts. I like making small, encouraging signs with these. “welcome” “Chose Kindness”, etc. They stand up on their side well, and fit nicely on a desk, counter or windowsill. The blocks accept paintt well, and are smooth enough to paint words on. you could also use these blocks under furniture legs to increase height, if necessary.

This Isn’t Wood
The blocks worked well for my craft project but this is NOT wood. I was able to stain it easily and in many ways treat it like wood, but it’s compressed sawdust or that stuff most cheap desks are made out of.

As in the title, these are MDF (compressed sawdust), not wood. This did the job in a pinch but lacks any quality grain or texture for carving or engraving.

These blocks were absolutely perfect for a small DIY project. Really good quality MDF blocks that worked perfectly and were sturdy enough for what I needed to do. Exactly as described and arrived quickly. I’ve left them undecorated for now but they will be very easy to paint as necessary.
