an over hyped keeper
today’s my 30th day with pro 4’s so i have to decide to keep these or return them for a refund… i’m at 51% keep which is not a compliment. my 49% issue is that pretty much how every “advanced” feature you can enable just ends up destabilizing these buds usefulness.i have crew cut hair, yet all the touch features make the buds too touchy (even disable all touch and solely use in-ear detection), all the bluetooth features make the connection either intermittently pause the audio source or drop the bluetooth connection altogether, which often requires i put them back into the charging case and taking them out. during 10% of these fails i have to complete factory reset in the case and forget on my phone, to bring these buds back to connectivity.speaker ANC is solid in the street and on the subway, mic ANC is solid in the street, and as long as i keep EVERYTHING disabled and ONLY enable “Stable Connection First” these speaker ANC buds seem to behave themselves even when my a12 bt5 phone is in my Carhartt thigh pocket (a connection my previous soundcore buds count not maintain). also the few times i actually listen to 320 kbps music files, these buds high-mid db range sound nearly as good as my around ear headphones, or far better than my soundcore.a nice bonus few notice is the speaker stems are standard round, so they work well with Spinfit Omni tips which is why i bailed on soundcore, because most of their higher end buds changed to those stupid square/oval shape stems. the earfun firmware update was failing for a week till it took, from 3.5 to 3.7 which may reduce some of my complaints, but i doubt it – i will update this 04/2025 review if i notice some remarkable improvement while more features are enabled.about all the reviewers here complaining about wind anc being worthless, i agree that it is. i walk a 12 lane blvd that wind gusts >20mph twice a week, but this may not be earfun’s fault, rather it’s the fact that all mic stem earbuds struggle to anc wind. so if wind noise cancellation is paramount, you would probably be better off with any no stem design like pro 3 which seems like a pro 4 without the stem. if voice pickup by the mic is paramount during phone calls, then getting anything with a mic stem is crucial, unless you can afford over $250usd for those famous name airplane magazine advertised buds.

Quality Earbuds with App Support
Moving from Jabra 7 Elites, I quickly found the other wireless earbuds in the same price range just fell short. For me, I became dependent on the companion App for control over the Sound EQ. Being an old musician with tinnitus and hearing loss, using the EQ to boost and cut certain frequencies became essential. After researching specific brands that offered sound App support, I tried the EarFun Pro 4 and the Tozo brands. The Pro 4s blew the Tozo units out of the water in almost every category. Compared to my Jabra, the Pro4s are brighter, fuller and seal better in my ears. The sound quality of these actually blow me away. The 10-band EQ from the App is a step up from Jabra as well. Not to mention that at $69 USD, they are much cheaper than the Jabras. I’ve had these for a month now and battery life and charging is consistent, and performance has been solid. I listen to music frequently and periodically for phone calls. No complaints in either department. The only negative I have is the the button features are very touchy. I ended up disabling them completely and only use the in-ear sense to automatically turn off when I remove them. The Noise canceling is adequate, but not quite as good as my old Jabras. If you are looking for earbuds with App and EQ support, you can’t go wrong with these. For the price, you are getting quality you usually only get in $200+ units. At $69, I can loose one and not kick myself. If you’re on the fence, get these. You won’t be disappointed.

Bought for Multipoint Connection. To use all features, one of the two devices MUST be your phone.
The main reason I bought these was for the Multipoint Connection (the ability to connect to two different devices, one at a time, automatically) and the feature is not usable for me on this product because one of the two devices for Multipoint Connection MUST be your phone for the app to work. Would have been useful to know that from its Amazon page.I have an AppleTV 4K streaming device and an nVidia Shield streaming device, and I wanted the earphones to just switch to whichever was active. That doesn’t seem to work.Without the app active and the phone connected, the manual recommends a ‘manual reconnect’ which was what I was already doing before I spent $60 on these. When I switch streaming devices, I have to go into the device’s setup and reconnect the earphones to the device, which makes it no better and more expensive than every non Multipoint BT earphone that works that way anyway.EDIT: The company reached out with detailed and helpful email instructions for how to achieve automatic switching between my devices which work for me. As a result, I have upped my rating for these. They do sound very good.

I bought these back in August last year, so have been using them for about 9 months now. I absolutely love these earbuds. Iâm a total audio gear junkie â always looking for an excuse to get my hands on the new shiny thing. Seriously, I have at least 30 pairs of headphones and earbuds. Itâs a problem! Since these, I have not bought any more earbuds (headphones and open ears donât count right?). I came close to it a few times (especially when the AZ100 came out), and then thought â seriously â how will I be improving on what I am getting with these â at any price? You need to spend a lot of money to pay for a couple of extra gimmicks and negligible improvements – if any.I bought these as as soon as they came out as I am always impressed with the value of EarFun products, so I tend to bag them on the early bird deals whilst discounted. Not only did I save on the purchase, I saved myself a fortune on the products I didnât buy after buying these. Thatâs great value! The Good:Sound Quality:These are just incredible for sound quality. Not just incredible for the price â I really canât fault them considering the form factor. You get a clear, full sound across the spectrum, with a lovely wide and balanced soundstage. Very little muffling when music gets busy and when you want it, the bass wobbles your eyeballs. I donât tend to spend thousands on headphones and earbuds, but I have a multitude of products around the £300-400 mark and these sound as good as any of those.Noise Canceling:The noise canceling is awesome for a pair of in-ear buds. I can sit in the front room listening to an audiobook whilst my kids are blasting out whatever over-compressed, distorted brain farts they are currently obsessed with on YouTube. Thatâs a win in my book!Fit:These fit great and the shape suits me well â just like the Air Pro 3. Not too tight, they don;t fall out, they donât feel heavy or make me feel like I am trapped underwater. The Air Pro 2 for example was a very different shape and I personally didnât get on with it well. No such problem here. Comfortable for hours.Battery Life:As good as can be expected for this kind of product. Depends on your settings, but I tend to get about 6 hours at reasonable volume with AptX Adaptive and Balanced NC before I have to pop them in the case for a bit.Aptx LosslessNot that many earbuds offer this still and these were one of the first I had seen that support it. It works flawlessly with my Xperia phone and I really notice the difference. I tend to play 16/44 audio files, which are ideal for lossless codecs and these sound just like I am wearing wired headphones. I have to go to more expensive triple driver (wired) IEMs to notice any improvement on sound on these. The Bad:Not much really. I do find that in Optimised LDAC mode, the range doesnât seem as good as other EarFun products. In fairness, I havenât checked this in a while as I tend to use Aptx all the time for these or AAC with the Iphone. It may have been improved in an update. No theater mode on these (which I love on the Air 2 NC), but if I am honest, the soundstage is already great and it would probably just ruin the sound.I would love to see multi-point connection whilst keeping on high quality codecs, but thatâs not really something that anyone had done well yet.In summary: EarFun absolutely nailed it with the Air Pro 4. You would have to spend at least 3-4 times as much to get any noticeable improvement on these. Very pleased with them!

My go to earbuds are Sennheiser Momentum TWS 3. Sound fantastic and I had yet to find other buds that could rival them. I’m sure the Bose QC Ultra could equal or surpass my Sennheisers, but I refuse to pay $200+ for earbuds.Enter the EarFun buds. For less than $100, you get great sound, user friendly buds, accompanied by a great app to tweak the sound to your liking. Light and comfortable, you can wear these all day. Highly recommend!
