It’s All-Clad, it’s D5, so it’s fantastic. It’s also PTFE, so it won’t last forever.
Most people know that All-Clad Stainless Steel pans and pots are the best you can get anywhere. I have a set of D3s at home, and they are truly worth the investment. If you’re not familiar with All-Clad pans, the “D” refers to the layers of metal that make up the pan. A “D3” pan has three layers (18/10 stainless steel cooking surface + aluminum core + polished stainless steel outer layer). A “D5″ adds an additional stainless steel and aluminum layer. You can’t get much better than D5 for heat retention and even distribution. There are times, of course, when you need a non-stick pan. Even one of my good friends, who’s a purist when it comes to cooking, will use a non-stick pan for delicate food like pan frying salmon and searing meat. This is the pan we swears by. As much hype as ceramic coated and seasoned cast iron cookware get, they can’t compare to PTFE.Of course there are a lot of (legitimate) concerns about PTFE. That’s why we no longer use PTFEs for everyday cooking in our house. But we do keep one pan handy for those times you need one. I like the size of this one; with a diameter of 8” it’s on the smaller side, so it’s perfect for cooking individual meals or one-off jobs like searing meat or frying an egg.One thing also to keep in mind with All-Clad is that their “Lifetime Warranty” does not apply to “normal product wear and tear” and of course it doesn’t apply to damage caused by metal or sharp utensils. I learned this the hard way when my previous All-Clad non-stick pans started to flake and chip. Even the best PTFE coating will wear out one day. On a high-end pan like this, you can probably expect it to last over 5 years, but after that it’s invariably going to start peeling or scratching. This is not a “lifetime pan” as their stainless steel ones are. That said, I’ve tried many non-stick pans and these are definitely a notch above in quality. You can make the pan last longer by not putting it in a dishwasher, hand-washing it gently, avoid stacking pans, and avoiding heat that’s too high. As long as you do these things, cleaning is pretty easy; just wiping it with a wet sponge and mild detergent should be fine in most cases.I was very happy to see that these are made in the USA now. For a while they were being made in China (including the expensive ones that failed on me), so I’m hopeful their bringing manufacturing back to the US will bring these back close to the quality of their stainless steel pans.Overall, very happy with this, although bear in mind it does not come with a lid.

Well worth the investment!!
I have just started learning how important it is to invest in your cookware because it really affects the quality of not only how easily you can clean it but also how evenly cook through food foods are and that it makes cooking more efficient for you. This brand has been a staple for a long time and Iâve always known it to be quality so I was very thrilled to finally get to try a piece from it. The weight of the pan feels different in your hand, but then you get used to it and you actually feel more control and more stability from it. The craftsmanship is amazing. This brand really stands up to its name and itâs really changed the way I cook Nadia only more efficiently, but I also start to enjoy it more as well.

Professional Fry Pan
Truly a professional grade pan. I feel like Gordon Ramsay himself when I use this! It’s large and heavy duty, but not overly heavy in weight. The non stick surface is actually non stick– not a bit of food clings to this pan. It’s also pretty scratch resistant as far as I can tell. I try not to use metal or fork like utensils when using ceramic pans, but I have on occasion when using this and it hasn’t scratched or damaged it yet.Quickly and evenly distributes heat so all your food cooks at the same temperature. It’s very easy to handle and I love cook steaks, lamb, risotto, etc in this!

Love this pan!
I got this pan as I needed to replace a small pan I have had for a while now which has had the coating on it destroyed, and so far I have loved using this thing as a replacement. The quality is excellent, and it heats up fairly evenly as far as I’ve seen. I’ve cooked eggs and seared and basted steaks with it, and it’s been a breeze to clean every time. With a little oil and reasonable upkeep I expect this will last me a good few years. I have no complaints about it at all

Expensive but worth it
I am loving this pan. I normally cook with stainless steel but wanted a small non-stick for a few things and this one has been great. Not quite the fried egg sliding out of the pan like the fake one in commercials lol But very close. I do not like things I can’t put in the dishwasher but this cleans up so easily that it really isn’t much of a bother. It is expensive but as long as it maintains this high quality, I’d say it’s worth it. I have not noticed any real issues but will update as I continue to use it, if any arise. So far, would definitely recommend.

Truly excellent pan
I was really surprised at how good this pan is. It is truly superior to less expensive pans. It has a nice, heavy bottom. I use it on an induction burner, and it conducts heat very well. My eggs cook so quickly, and so beautifully, itâs amazing. The eight-inch size is also good for chicken breasts and warming leftovers. The pan is expertly made. The handles are nicely riveted, and the shape of the handle makes it easy to grip and to flip the pan. The rim is nicely flared for smoothly pouring out the ingredients. The nonstick is excellent. Cleanup is super easy. I do hand wash the pan.The pan is oven safe to 500 degrees.I highly recommend this pan and I wish I could afford more pieces.
