Tried and true quality pan
This is a really lovely nonstick pan. I really like the look of the chrome steel bottom. I’ve used all clads other versions of non stick pans as my sister is a long time user of all clad non stick pans so I know the quality is going to stand up well over time. This particular pan differs from hers as like I mentioned this has the chrome bottom and I believe she is using the HA1 expert model. It also differs in that the nonstick is darker and the surface is rougher. I was hesitant about getting this as I was worried it wasn’t going to be as good as their other non stick pans but I am really glad I did order this pan after all. I did some research and there were some reviews on reputable retailers websites saying that the bonded nonstick layer begins to peel or bubble after just a few months of use even with only handwashing and using at no higher than medium level heat. I decided I would give this pan 3 months before submitting my review and detailing the performance and how its held up. I will say I’ve used it very frequently over these few months and I have not encountered any issues with the nonstick layer deteriorating or peeling. The nonstick surface still looks good as new. I’ve made pancakes, fish, fried rice, omelettes and much more and I’ve had great results each time. Usually making fried rice is a good way to test out a pan as the rice can stick to a pan that isn’t very good quality. This pan definitely passed with flying colors. I hand washed only with the soft side of a sponge and occasionally with a nylon bristle brush and dried immediately with a dish towel. I will say as another reviewer noted food does get stuck where the bolts connect the handle. I just have to go with a toothpick every now and then to get it clean. Overall very happy with this pan. It may require some “babying” to keep it looking and performing like new but it is definitely worth it.

Solid, excellent finish, interesting coating may provide better browning
In the interest of full disclosure, as a trusted and unbiased Amazon reviewer, I was able to request this product free of charge, except for having to pay tax on its fair market value. This pan is attractive, durable, and works well. The profile is a bit different — it has a wider brim that curves at the top. I think this makes the pan better suited for flipping/tossing and this is good for me as I prefer to cook this way. The tradeoff is that the actual cooking surface may be a bit smaller when compared with other 10 inch pans. The construction, as with All-Clad pans is very durable and the polish of the stainless steel exterior is second to none. The pan is well balanced and sits securely on your stove top even when empty. The handle is a bit strange and this is true for all All-Clad pans. Perhaps strange is too strong an adjective, but the handle has a wide groove running down the center. To me this makes the handle a bit uncomfortable, the plus side is that it increases the surface area and allows for better heat dissipation. The handle stays cool. I prefer the rounded handles, but maybe this design is better. The non-stick coating works well. First let me say that this is based on using the pan about 6 times. The problem I have had with all non-stick pans is that they lose their stickiness over time. Time will tell how this one holds up. Given the cost of the pan, I’m being especially careful to avoid high heat and wash it very gently. The surface texture is not as smooth as others. It’s hard to explain but it just feels just a bit off very smooth. I think this allows the pan to brown better than other non-stick pans. However, the surface is very slippery. In using low to medium heat on an electric stove with the large burner, I have no trouble making over easy eggs. The eggs release easily and the physical design of the pan makes them easy to flip. I did find that one edge of an egg caught slightly on the surface, but a slight agitation allowed it to be easily released. I also cooked some omelettes and seared some fish, and the pan performed very well, and I got some nice even browning on my fish. There is no documentation supplied with the pan other than what is printed on the box. The description on the box indicates you can use any tool except metal; however, when you go to their website you are cautioned against using hard plastic tools. I have been using plastic tools but very gently and haven’t had any problems. The only disappointment is that a cover is not included. I think part of the reason may be the physical design of the pan as it curves outward slightlyIt is an expensive pan, but it works well.

High quality non-stick, even heating
All Clad is a name known for its quality and attention to detail. All Clad products are generally expensive, but they tend to last a lifetime. I can’t be assured of the life of a non-stick pan, but I can say without hesitation that this is definitely a quality product. There are two important considerations when judging the performance of a non-stick pan: Is the non-stick truly non-stick, and does the pan heat evenly.I’ve used the pan on numerous occasions, frequently with cheesy dishes and in some cases I’ve left “bits” in the bottom and intentionally let them scorch. I’ve then left the pan sit overnight, untouched. The next day I applied a high-pressure stream of hot water from my faucet, and the pan appeared to be free of all debris after a simple rinse. So yes, the non-stick application makes it extremely easy to clean and maintain. My cooktop is induction. Induction cooking is fast, safe, and the most energy efficient means of cooking. The problem is that most pans tend to heat unevenly. To test, add water to the pan and wait for it to begin boiling… a quality pan will start to boil evenly across the entire bottom of the pan, whereas a lower quality pan will have “hot spots.” I’m happy to report that this pan has always heated perfectly evenly, edge to edge. The construction of the pan feels sound. The handle is a bit lightweight but is very functional. The pan does not include a cover, but I have a number of lids for 12″ skillets, and the first one I tried was a perfect fit. The pan has an extended lip at the top that helps to avoid drips when pouring from the pan. This is very much a quality product, deserving of the All Clad branding. While expensive, this is indeed something that should last for years with proper care. I would order it again.
