Impressive little tent!
I wanted to wait until I had a chance to really put this tent through it’s paces before I reviewed, and just got back from a two day scout campout with it. We set this tent up in the front room once before we went just to make sure we had a lay of the land and all the pieces needed were there. It went up super easy and was pretty intuitive, we only really consulted the directions to make sure we had done it right. The only thing to be mindful of is that the doors on the fly are directional, so you want them to line up with the way the doors on the tent themselves line up. My son and I went on a BSA Klondike (winter) campout in the sierra nevada mountains over the weekend. The intent originally was that him and I would share the tent, but he ended up wanting to do his own thing with his friends so I went solo. I set it up by myself right at dusk on a light bed of snow with no issues. The ground was pretty solid with with a rubber mallet the stakes went in pretty easy. We weren’t expecting much wind, so I didn’t go crazy with the stakes/cords, but I did put up a couple just in case and also to see how it went. Cord adjusters work well and hold nice a tight. There is plenty of room for a single camper and your gear, with two campers and gear it would be a little tight, most likely hear would live outside the tent but inside the fly. I put it down on top of a tarp, so boots/shoes lived just outside the inner door, but inside the fly. Temps got down to the single digits and we got some snow. I had zero leaks throughout the entire weekend, and the tent did a solid job of holding in the heat for what it is. I had a -25 bag and an insulated pad, and kept plenty warm throughout the night. There was a little frost/condensation build up, but it what was should be expected given the conditions and also that I did not open the vents. I figured I’d trade the heat for letting out moisture. The wind did pick up a little overnight and the tent handled it no problem. This was about the worst conditions I’ll every put this tent through, as the remainder of our camping is done in much warmer weather. I look forward to using it without the fly and having just the screened in tent and being able to sleep under the stars with no worries of bugs. Very happy with this purchase, this will be in our camping toolbox for years to come.

Easy to assemble
I admit, when we go camping, we stay in cabins. We got this tent for the kids. We figured it would be a fun treat in the summer to sleep in the backyard and pretend to be camping.Overall, this tent is pretty easy to set up. Even the kids are able to do it – although, they need two people. The material feels quite sturdy. I really like the ventilation windows and how much space is inside the tent.I noticed many comments state that it is too heavy. According to the website it is 6.95 lbs. It did not seem too heavy to us, however, I can see that it might be a bit much for a hiker along with all their other supplies.I cannot say how this tent would hold up for hardcore hikers and campers, but it is perfect for our kids and holds up well to our midwestern weather.

Lightweight, easy setup for 1 person
Being able to set up a tent by myself is a necessity. Even if someone else is sleeping in it with me, I need to know I can go out by myself when I need to. This tent is super easy to set up alone, and goes together really intuitively. The materials feel good, stitching was good enough, and overall weight is decent – not the lightest by any means, but great if you split it between two people. If alone, it’s a little on the heavier side for backpacking, but will give you plenty of space to spread out. There wasn’t any wind when I tested it out, so I can’t speak to that, but the overall build felt tight when tied down. I didn’t have any condensation issues in the morning, when the outside temp was about 42deg, and that’s great.The added gear bivvy worked for lightweight objects, and I’m happy to have it for my eyeglasses.I can’t wait for it to warm up, because using it without the rain fly would give an amazing view of a starry sky.
