Cooking and cleaning
Easy to cook and clean. I really like these

Perfect, at least for me
This has quickly become one of my favorite things. I cook for 1-4 people, depending on the day and am very particular when it comes to cookware. These pieces brown meat well, are nonstick without feeling chemical coated, and are lighter and easier to manage than Le Creuset or Staub. The quality is so great for the price. I highly recommend this set.

non-stick
The nonstick finish on this is great. Much smoother than some of the other pans I’ve used. I’ve been using this to cook eggs mostly for the past few weeks and it does a really nice job. SO far it works way better than I would have expected for the price. Lives up to the brand I suppose? after using and washing (by hand) many times now, there are no signs of scratching or damage. Finish is still working well. I haven’t overheated this one yet so hopefully it’ll last longer than some of the others. It’s a great looking pan.

Manage expectations and you should be VERY happy
This is not a high-end premium pan, despite the Sur La Table name, rather it is part of their “Essentials” line, and is priced accordingly. With that being understood this is an excellent piece of cookware, and an incredible bargain. There are other affordable pans that probably appear to have similar features (ie weight, size, non-stick surface), but they are often from unknown and untested brands. Having reviewed a few hundred items on Vine, one thing I have learned is that you cannot trust small unknown brands any more than you can verify all their claims for yourself. Personally I don’t want to be cooking on a pan that could contain toxic elements in the non-stick surface, and that is something that I don’t worry about with Sur La Table. They are too large and established as a company to risk bringing that kind of liability on themselves. And all that being in consideration it is a no contest, this is my go-to low-cost pan.Personally I’m not a huge fan of non-stick, I grew up with cast iron and stainless steel, but I put non-stick pans in an Airbnb, and I feel reassured knowing that I am providing a safe pan from a reputable company, without breaking the bank. I did test this pan for myself and I found it very easy to cook in, I fried some potatoes and eggs, and nothing sticked. It was easy to use and easy to clean. The pan is definitely light weight, but a lot of people prefer that. As far as the long term durability, I hope that our guests will refrain from using metal utensils with it and that it will hold up well for a long time to come.

Exceeded expectations
I ordered the Sur La Table kitchen essentials 10 inch deep frying pan and have been using it daily with great success. By far, this non-stick pan has kept its promise. All foods I have prepared in it did NOT stick, especially eggs! Far exceeded my expectations.Good deep pan that allows a generous amount of food to cook with without falling over the sides.Cleans ultra easy. Literally can wipe it clean. It dries just as easy. Dishwasher safe.I like the lightweight sturdy design.Ships fast. Well packaged. Assembles in seconds, just add the handle.Excellent price point for a pan that our family has used each and every single day since and still looks like new. Highly recommended.

Great Nonstick Option from a Reputable Brand
I try to stick with stainless cookware for most purposes, but this is a very versatile and nice looking skillet for cooking eggs and omelets in the morning. The finish is very nice and is mid-weight which makes it easier to clean that some of our All-Clad cookware. If you are looking for a nonstick pan, this is a great option from a reputable brand.

Great pan
Great non-stick pan that is easy to cook and clean with. Because the handle is metal, it could get hot if you are using it for a long time. I personally didn’t have that problem, but because it’s not a very large pan, I mostly cook eggs in it. The upside is that you can put it into the oven for browning your dish or melting cheese onto whatever you’ve cooked. It’s dishwasher safe but I always wash my pans by hand to make them last longer. It’s been a breeze to wash.

Non-stick, super lightweight and thin aluminum
I picked up the Sur La Table Kitchen Essentials 4.5 Quart Sauté Pan mainly for its size and ceramic features. The pan is a great size for a family of four. I can cook most meats and vegetables in the one pan without any issues. The depth of the pan has been useful for braising foods like curry and sticky ribs. I am fan of the ceramic because I do want to avoid Teflan but still want to have non-stick characteristics on my pans. One of the things users have to remember is to not overheat the pan. It clearly states in the packaging that the pan should be used at low and medium heat. There are other guidelines on how to use a ceramic pan so users should really study it before usage. The pan is dishwasher safe but I have been hand washing it. I do wish the pan was a bit thicker and heavier. The pan is really really lightweight, almost feels like a cheap supermarket pan weight. I do appreciate a lightweight pan because it would be easier on my wrist when cooking but the lightweight aluminum feels a little too light and thin.
