Initial thoughts…
This chair literally arrived 20 minutes ago. Shipping was pretty quick. At first I called the advertised dimensions into serious question because the box was not that big and while hefty it didn’t weigh too much.After I opened the Amazon box there was the manufacturer’s box, which was completely busting open at the seams. I was even more skeptical at this point. Then there was a bag around the compressed chair, then a vacuum sealed bag. Let me tell you, they sucked every atom out of this chair in the vacuum sealing process.After pulling the chair out of the bag it started to puff up very quickly. There was an instruction sheet at the bottom of the box that indicated that it was ‘crucial’ that I vigorously shake it as it’s expanding to aid in that process. Oops.I measured the chair (sans cushions) about 15 minutes later and it was within .5″ to 1″ of the advertised dimensions. Looks-wise it’s nearly identical to the supplied photos.The quality appears to be quite good. Contrary to the product page, this is NOT a beanbag chair in any sense. I believe it’s made entirely of dense foam, which gives it its support. There is no wood or plastic that I can feel.The underside has kind of an anti-skid bottom – like the bottoms of cheapo kiddie slippers you find at Walmart. I think the bottom is my least favorite part but at least it’s underneath & can’t be seen. I have grippy pads I’ll be putting underneath to prevent it from moving around too much.The upholstery is a soft microfiber, courderoy-like material. It’s the same material encasing the entire chair, as well as the seat & back cushions. There is a heavy duty zipper at the base of the chair & the cushions if you ever have to wash the material, but I think it would be he|| to get it back on afterwards.The seat and back cushions are also made of foam, but not as dense as the chair is. I don’t think they’re memory foam, though. They do benefit from vigorous shaking.The entire thing does have that chemical factory smell that usually accompanies products like this. The 48 hours will be good for airing out.If you didn’t pay attention to the dimensions you should know this chair fully expanded is kind of low, only 15″-16″ high WITH the cushions. This chair is NOT going to replace a traditional armchair. Bulky individuals and older folks will struggle trying to rise from this seat.That said, I am almost 5’10 and I am overweight. I didn’t sink much lower in this chair, or feel like the back was straining to maintain its shape. It’s self-supporting; I actually went to pull the chair away from the wall because I thought the wall was helping to hold it upright, only to find the chair was a good 8″ away from the wall.I even sprawled across it horizontally, with my back against 1 arm while my legs draped over the other. The arm behind my back did bow out a bit but I didn’t feel like I was going to rip it off. If you’re a sprawler, positioning this chair with 1 arm against a wall would be supportive enough to sprawl out on a frequent basis without permanently bending the foam.I see this chair being especially good for a child’s room, a teen’s gaming room, a dorm room, a cozy den, home office, or a book nook. I actually ordered it with my kid’s game room in mind, but after seeing it I am leaning more towards keeping it in my office for myself.A lot of chairs like this are made of inflatable vinyl and their price points are only slightly lower. I like that this chair is pretty lightweight (although awkward to carry) and because its interior is solid I don’t have to worry about my cat’s biscuits popping my chair.My only wish is that it be slightly deeper. I can sit crossed-legged like the model in the photo, but because I’m taller my knees hang off the front a good bit. Otherwise it’s almost the perfect cozy book chair. I’m pleasantly surprised and very happy with this order.

This sofa is my new favorite thing in my house! It’s soooo comfortable and completely holds me like I’ve never been held. I spend hours on this couch laying back and reading and I would want nothing more in life than to be able to do just that 24/7. It’s so unbelievably comfortable and although it’s a decent size it doesn’t take up too much space!
