Customers say
Customers find the canopy tent easy to set up and take down, with good bug protection and functionality, and consider it well worth the price. The durability receives mixed feedback – while some find it sturdy, others report it’s flimsy in windy conditions and doesn’t hold up well with heavy rains. The fit and tearing ability also get mixed reviews, with some saying it’s the right size while others find it doesn’t fit tight, and multiple customers reporting rips in the fabric.

More like a 4.5, leaning 4.0
Does the job, and as-advertised as a value pop-up. But remember that it is a value pop-up. In this case, me, the buyer, left it outside overnight not staked down, and we had some 15-MPH gusts apparently lift it up and away. This unfortunately laid bare just how cheap the various plastic hinges and screws are on the product. They are indeed quite weak, especially the plastic components. This damage was completely my fault, however, and I reached out to the company to buy replacement parts. That process was … challenging, for a few reasons, but the company made it right with the second set of replacement parts. They need to always be sure to send the image with the pop-up put together and the parts numbered. Note that if you do need to get replacement parts, some of the smaller hinges, like the ones that connect the top center bar to the bottom riser bar, are not numbered and available as a standalone purchase. The company could do a little better with the parts ordering portion. That said, their communication was always super polite and prompt. The biggest knock here, again, is that it’s a value pop-up, and the plastic is weak, weak, weak.

Great Purchase
I got this during one of the deals going on, and it was a great purchase! Itâs sturdy and easy to put up. The material on the top isnât too thick, but perfect for whatâs needed. It straps onto the frame so you donât have to worry about it coming off. Itâs exactly the right fit for what I have needed. Plus, I get to keep using it for anything else I need. So glad that I got this. Itâs perfect.

Nice for the price
But it’s weak when it stands, small wind blows you better haven’t tied down tight cus it will blow away.

Need a refund
I used this tent once on the beach in great weather conditions with very little wind where tents that were being held up with one or two legs didnât budge. However this tent broke in two places and the Velcro strips came unattached from the tent top. I had to throw the tent away at the beach.

Good but Does not Last
I bought the 8×8 one in March 2020. It lasted one season, until the wind/rain came in late in the fall.Setting up was within reason — not too difficult, but would take a few hours. It took longer for me, since I decided to do some reinforcements (reading earlier review of it’s being flimsy)1. Tie the frame down to sturdy places, so winds wouldn’t blow and topple the whole thing to one side.2. I added ropes around the roofing area to keep the pyramid shape, so any rain/water falling on the roof can easily escape to the side. For most of the season, we very much enjoyed it. The screen served the purpose well to keep mosquitos out.I was planning to take the canopy down at the end of the season for storage, bud didn’t get the chance. We had a storm late in the fall, and the whole thing just collapsed. Upon closer examination, there are several reasons.1. The roofing area doesn’t have enough structure to keep the pyramid shape. Heavy rain would push the canopy, creating a big pocket, and leaving the water there. The pocketful of water would further stretch the canopy, and creating bigger pocket of water, until the limit of the frame.2. The weakness was identified earlier, so I paid specific attention to use a rod to push the roof up and get the water out. But I couldn’t babysit it during every storm.3. Even the rope I added was only of limited help. The canopy (and rope) material expands and shrinks with temperature, and it failed to be taut to prevent forming “pocketful of water”Overall, great idea, but execution is poor. Improving the design to make the roof sturdy so it can stand against storm is needed.
