Sleeping Pads
Ultimate Comfort: The Captain Comfort Deluxe pads are plush self-inflating foam-core pads designed for maximum warmth and comfort. The stretch top provides a pillow-soft sleeping surface that is comfy and quiet, allowing for a good night’s sleep.
Up to 5” / 13cm of cushion with vertical side walls that ensure a sturdy, large sleeping area.
The two, convenient 2-way, pull-tab valves allow for quick and easy inflation, super-fast deflation, and micro adjustments to make it just how you like it.
Horizontal coring reduces packed size and weight. High-density foam provides maximum insulation. The 41” x 72” pad has an R Value of 8.9; weighs 7 lb. 8 oz; rolled size 9” x 21.5” / 23x55cm. Packs best when halved, then rolled.
Deluxe side-opening storage sack with webbing handle included.

most comfortable map out
Easy to inflate, very comfortable to sleep on and is very warm. I would buy this pad again.

Luxurious camp mat
Well crafted, high quality camp mat. Havenât slept on it yet but laying on it is very comfortable.Out of the box, it comes in a durable stuff sack. First time use, roll it out and open BOTH SETS of valves. Let it sit a minute and then roll out the air. This helped the mat expand for its first use.Once âbroke inâ the mat inflates fairly quickly to about full. We used an intex air pump to top her off.Rolling it up and storing is tricky, but be patient and itâs easy enough. Overall, excited to use this next camp season!

Too huge, too hard, too hot, too expensive
I missed returning this item by 5 days. After testing it on 2 camping trips itâs comfortable but has a few big issues that Iâll share because Iâm sadly stuck with it.1) the biggest issue is rolling it back up. We use a pump to suck the air out and still it takes several attempts and struggle to get it to roll tight enough to even get the bands around it. Itâs just too much work to be worth it2) you canât easily let a little bit of air out to find the right comfort level. I needed a fancy mattress bc Iâm a side sleeper with shoulder issues so my shoulders need to be cradled. Too firm is no help. But it only has full release. Dumb design for such an expensive mat.3) itâs hot. I got it because i tend to be cold camping but itâs just too hot. I donât even use a bag half the night on it in Colorado. Being too cold is a problem but itâs hard to escape if youâre too hot.4) it takes up a lot of room. Even for car camping. Rolled up itâs equal to the size of our six person tent.

Would not inflate
I normally like Big Agnes, but I am very disappointed with this pad. It claims to be self inflating, but I have had this think sitting out for 5 hours now with the valves open as instructed, and it is not anywhere near inflated enough to use as a pad. I will be returning this. My advice… find a different pad.

Poor customer service from BA on a (I think) factory defective pad.
This is for the Captain Comfort 41 X 72I think this is probably a good pad IF you get one that works properly.Mine would only inflate on one side after the better part of one week of being left open and flat as per the recommendations. The other side seemed to have some weird suction pressure keeping it flat as a pancake.Big Agnes informed me that this is normal for this pad due to how tight the factory rolls them. They also told me they had no pump or valve adapters but I should try manually pushing air into this self inflating mattress yet they don’t make the valve to accommodate any sort of pump. BA refused to give me a replacement for this pad that I believe is not working properly.I’ve always liked BA tents so I’m pretty sad to have such poor customer care from them on this rather expensive pad.I plan on trying the EXPED mat as it seems to have a good reputation and good reviews overall.

I love this over air mattresses. Easy setup and comfort is amazing (i weight 275lbs and its great). Only beef is gretting it back in the bag…an exercise in futility…grrrr
