Great Credentials 8 Quart Mixing Bowls, Set of 2
Every kitchen needs at least two (2) stainless steel mixing bowls. These high-rimmed bowls are a medium size that is handy for many jobs, from cracking eggs to mixing batter—you’ll definitely want more than one. The flatter bottom makes for steady work in the kitchen, and is ideal for submerged marinating of meat and other foods. Customers say
Customers appreciate the mixing bowls’ size, with one mentioning they can hold a double batch of cookies, and find them lightweight and nice-looking. However, the build quality receives mixed feedback, with some finding them well-made while others consider them cheap. Moreover, the material thickness is criticized for being thin, and customers report issues with metal corrosion and black residue that doesn’t wash off easily.

Can’t have enough large stainless mixing bowls
These lightweight stainless bowls are a godsend for bulk cooking. I use them gor grinding sausage, brining cucumbers, mixing bulk meatloaf, etc.

Good quality!
My favorite middle sized bowl! I have some GIANT bowls but these are perfect if you need a big bowl for your kitchen!

Contaminated with industrial residue that CANNOT BE REMOVED
On the plus side, these bowls actually do hold 8 quarts, unlike many others whose size is exaggerated by other sellers. BUT the bowls, especially the underside of the lip, have a heavy residue of a dark industrial material, presumably a polishing compound. I washed in the usual soap and water using a scrub pad; buffed with a terry towel; scrubbed with vinegar using an abrasive pad and a stiff brush; washed with soap; scrubbed with F409 and an abrasive pad; buffed with a terry towel; and washed with soap and water. After all that, a simple rub with a terry towel still finds residue. Is it toxic? Consider the source: assume that it is.This product should be banned from import into the USA.Update:In “one last attempt” to clean it I tried some alcohol scrub pads, and that worked fairly well – after that pass there is little remaining, judging by a follow-scrub with a a terry towel, and that could be from spots I missed. On the down side, using them revealed that there was also residue on the body of the bowl that needs to be cleaned off carefully as well. NB if you are going to try using alcohol, keep in mind the fumes are extremely flammable – be careful and don’t blame me if you start a fire.

Deep mixing bowls
After returning three sets of metal mixing bowls from various companies, I found these which match the âold-fashionedâ deep bowls that my grandmother had. Seems to be good quality, they do need a very good washing and hand drying under the rim, but other than that, Iâm very satisfied with my purchase. Dishwasher safe and can hold a double batch of cookies.

Two nice metallic bowls
Bought two new bowls for making my breads. These are good size and light weight. They easily nest into theirselves and into the other larger bowl I just bought. Their height is roughly 5 inches. They are 13 1/2 inches across including a lip of 1/2 inch all the way around. Again, I ordered a set of bowl that was supposed to be made in “India.” While these are nice looking bowls, there was no stamp on the bottom of the bowls or label indicating where they were made, so I have to wonder if they were actually made in India. They have a better sheen/surfacing than the other bowl that I bought, so perhaps they were made in India. I did note that a label had been affixed to both, but was removed before they were shipped (the adhesive gum was still visible before I washed them.
