Thankfully they picked up a Clean & clear discounted soap
I have been using the clean & clear version for almost 20 year. When they discounted it, I was so afraid that would mean that generics were going to be done as well. So happy that Amazon is still offering this soap. Benzoyl peroxide takes more time to really get down in the skin, I never have success with any other 10% BPO. It’s because the menthol in the soap opens the pores allowing it to get down in there. This works just as well as the name brand! However if you have sensitive skin you HAVE to follow up with lotion afterward. Otherwise your skin might get angry.

Great cleanser
Excellent facial cleanser. It does tingle when it’s on your face. But it means that it gets into the pores and cleanses them. I do love the feeling afterwards. I don’t have any sensitivity. I feel like it’s effective and it doesn’t cause the skin dryness afterwards.

Not for sensitive skin
I just wanted something with benzoyl peroxide for my body acne. I use it on my back and it works great. Had some leftover on my hands applied to my face, but it instantly started burning.

Affordable and it works!
I ordered this product as a dupe for Panoxyl benzoyl peroxide wash, and I am not going back! I feel like the Amazon formula does a better job at preventing breakouts and is more affordable than the competitor formula.I use this product in the morning, following with clindamycin and sunscreen. Please do not use this product without wearing sunscreen after! You will not see results if you do not apply sunscreen during the day.This product works great if you need a little boost in addition deodorant. Just apply like normal in the shower the night of and follow with deodorant. There will be no smell the following day as it prevents bacteria build up! Helps with body acne too!

Great product with 5% benzoyl peroxide.5% benzoyl peroxide is the only thing which has ever worked for me to effectively treat the extreme amount of oiliness on my face, medically referred to as excess sebum production.One caution: benzoyl peroxide is similar to Clorox bleach. You will permanently bleach, your shirt or your pants or whatever you’re wearing if you are at all dressed when using this product. I strongly recommend that you only use it while you’re in the shower, let it stay on your face for a number of minutes, and then thoroughly wash it off with the showerhead, just as if you were washing off shampoo or soap. Don’t ruin your clothing.The only alternative, for me, has been oral isotretinoin. That has been an absolute lifesaver for me, but it is a prescription, and not all dermatologist will prescribe it. If you want to be taking oral isotretinoin, you first need to call around to different dermatologist offices and ask if the dermatologist actually prescribes isotretinoin when he or she determines it necessary. So, you are not asking for a diagnosis or a prescription, you’re only asking at this dermatologist will prescribe it at some point. Many dermatologists will not, as there are risks relative to women of child bearing age taking this and becoming pregnant while taking it.

Just not the same. (Poor product)
Nope – I tried thinking this would be comparable to the brand name only to save a couple of dollars. Here’s a case where it’s just not worth it. This is terrible. I’ve use the name brand and even the brand from the big box blue store with gold lettering and this product is inferior. Why or how can I make this statement? Simple – I used my senses. The smell is not the same, it doesn’t have a strong smell, despite leaving it on my skin for 10 minutes, it never dried it out like the other two brands mentioned, I even tested a piece of fabric to see if it would bleach it and it didn’t.While I purchased 10%, my best guess is this is under 2%. I thought maybe a had a bad batch so I bought it a second time and it’s the same.I’m sorry to write this review but buyer should be aware this is an inferior product and, if you couldn’t tell, I would’ve given this a zero if I was able.

Fragrance and menthol
The price is good for the active ingredients. However, the fragrance (lavender?) is off putting, since I use acne cleansers because my sensitive skin is prone to breakouts and fragrance is a huge contributor to skin issues. The cleanser also has menthol, which makes my skin burn and go numb when I wash my face. It would’ve been a perfect product without fragrance and menthol, which I don’t see as adding anything.
