Customers say
Customers find this stainless steel pan excellent for cooking almost anything, with a large size and good value for money. The pan is well-built and should last a lifetime, with one customer noting it can be 100% non-stick. While some customers report no sticking issues, others experience horrible sticking problems. The heat distribution receives mixed feedback, with some praising its excellent temperature control while others note uneven heating. The pan’s weight is also mixed, with customers appreciating its heft but finding it quite heavy.

Gordon Ramsay would use this pan!!!! A +++
Amazon, you did it again! I highly recommend this pan!! If I could give it 10 stars I would. So, I reluctantly tried this Amazon Basics brand pan knowing how important it is to get a good professional stainless steel pan. I was getting ready to pay over $100 for a pan but thought, well Iâll try Amazonâs pan. And Iâm so glad I did! I compiled the video and photos of using this pan this entire last week. I wanted to use it over and over again and get a good feel for it before giving my review. This pan is a heavy (not too heavy), solid A+ high class pan! No need to spend over $100 on a good pan when this one will do just fine. In fact, this is a good pan l. Thank you Amazon. If you are new to using a stainless steel pan, itâs important to note the differences between a stainless steel pan and that of a nonstick pan. I decided to switch because Iâve been hearing so many bad things even about the best of nonstick pans I try to live healthy. It was important that I went back to the stainless steel pan even though honestly it is just a bit more of a hassle to take care of the pan. But in the scheme of things, three more minutes of taking the time to properly clean, your pan is completely worth the benefits, especially health benefits. And of course, there are many other benefits of owning a stainless steel pan. This pan does not come with a lid. But I do use a lid from other pots and pans I have so that works. Please keep in mind the following things that are important to note in using and caring for your pan. I personally suggest you watch some YouTube videos on the subject. But hopefully I can share a few things with you to get you started if youâre new to stainless steel pans.1. Itâs important to always cook your food on the lowest heat. With a nonstick pan you can start your heat at five or six or even go up to 10 on the heat and be fine with cooking your food but with a stainless steel pan you must cook your things on extreme low heat. The metal conducts the heat at a higher level than another pan.. So I never ever, ever! Put my pan higher than medium low (or about a number 4).2. This part is really important⦠You need to turn your pan on low like number one or two and let it sit and heat up for 2 minutes BEFORE adding any kind of oil or butter to your pan. This part is extremely important because this part is whatâs going to cause your pan to become nonstick as a stainless steel pan. Heating your pan up first allows the metal to expand and causes a more flat surface where if you add your oil and then heat up your pan, the oil gets trapped into the very microscopic parts / pores of your pan. Itâs hard to explain so I suggest you watching a video on it. But this part is so important probably the most important thing that you should know to heat your pan up for at least two minutes before adding your oil or butter. By the way, I donât usually ever use butter in cooking food. I use eitherbacon grease, duck fat, chicken, fat, coconut oil, peanut oil, or olive oil.3. When youâre finished cooking with your pan, take an empty jar and pour the cooking oil residue in it. Place your pan on a towel, wipe your pan out if youâre able to with a few paper towels to pick up the excess debris, and then pour hot water in your pan. Perhaps a couple of cups of hot water. Just cover the surface. Letâs sit for one minute. And Walla, you just take a spatula and every bit of it comes up. I pour this greasy water into the jar as well because I donât wanna put anything greasy down my sink. I save all the jars that I buy from the store and wash them out for this very purpose.4. You can wash your pan with a scrub brush and some hot soapy water, but I first use a little bit of powder scrub (my favorite brand I highly recommend is Bar Keepers Friend). I noticed if I donât use the powder scrub on my pan it will look clean at first, but then it will have cloudy spots on it when it dries. This eliminates the cloudy spots and makes your pan look absolutely brand new!

Love it, changed my cooking habits
This pan is what made me decide to toss out almost all the old teflon and nonstick pans and pots I had to buy the Cuisinart multiclad pro set here. However even after buying that, this still remains my most used pan anyway since the MCP set doesn’t have a 12 inch pan.Cooking on this is a bit different than nonstick if that’s all you used and was surprisingly easier to get used to than I thought. Just turn it to medium or medium-high for a couple minutes then toss a small amount of water in it, if it beads and dances in the pan and doesn’t evaporate, you’re good to go.Just make sure to preheat it like above then put in oil.One thing to note though I can’t personally confirm, is that if you have a bad induction cooktop it is possible even high quality stainless steel pans can warp, so I would look into that more if you do have induction. There’s only a couple things I make on the stove that aren’t in stainless steel and those being eggs which I still keep a nonstick for and steak and “deep” frying which I do in my cast iron.

Well made sauté pan
This is a very sturdy and appears to be a good quality pan. I returned it before you only because it was bigger than I expected.

Great pan, Great price
Bought this to replace my old stainless pan. I have another about the same size that is a high end brand that I use for cooking in. This pan is my go to for heating tortillas and grilling bread for sandwiches. The size of the flat spot on the bottom is perfect for the tortillas. It gets used more than any other pan I own and is always sitting on my stove top. very happy with this pan

Great non-toxic fry pan!
This is the best frying pan weâve bought in a while! The stainless steel cleans well and is easy to get hot and cooks food evenly.

Best stainless steel pan..
This is my far the best pan.. Very heavy duty.. It appears to be a double lined pan. Less likely to burn stuff. Very easy to clean with a light brillo pad. I only wish you could get with a lid. This last forever without the non stick coating that most make that break down.

Piece of junkMissed the return dateThis can NOT be a good or pure stainless steelIt doesnât get clean with Dawn Platinum which cleans everything. Not a stainless cleaner. Not magic wear.

I use this pan every day. I don’t think twice about reaching for it when I want to cook just about anything. It’s truly a do-it-all pan, and it does-it-all very well.Living in an apartment with a standard electrical hob, I was getting frustrated at the poor heat distribution of the rings when using a standard non-stick pan (even some of the nicer ones). So I decided to opt for something with a little more thermal mass. As I cook a lot of curries and tomato-based dishes, cast iron just wasn’t going to be suitable. So I took a gamble not his stainless steel frying pan and have not regretted it.If you know what you’re doing, and use a suitable amount of oil, it’s possible to cook just about anything in this, including eggs without them sticking. Additionally, it manages to even out the majority of the heat spots my electric hob produces, giving much more even cooking. I’ve also found that because of its thermal mass it manages to keep the temperature a lot more even over time, allowing you to simmer with ease for long periods without having to obsess over the dials.I’ve used this is the oven too, for a variety of dishes, and it works a real treat. Just don’t forget not to grab the handle when you pull it out… a mistake I’ve made far too many times. For even more versatility it’s easily paired with a standard stainless steel lid from a kitchen supply store.I don’t know what I’d do without this pan now that I have it, and I’ll likely be using it for decades to come. I have noticed absolutely no flaws in its construction, and there is no warping after many months of vigorous use.
