This looks to be a well made product but I question its durability. It is light weight and thin. My fault for not thinking about durability over time. I planned to use it as a soil barrier for my vermiculture compost pile this next year. I need a barrier to keep the tree roots out of my compost pile. That means zero holes. I am just now emptying last winters compost pile. I have been using a similar, but thicker, tarp. Every year, my pile gets a bit larger. Leaves will fall shortly, so I may need to start a new pile before I finish emptying the old one.

Solid tarp for general use
Itâs your basic tarp thatâs good enough quality for general use. Holds up well enough using it in the garage or outdoors. Covers well and keeps things dry outside. Iâm using it for a makeshift cover for part of my car. Holding it down with some heavy duty magnets and it fits perfectly and functions great as a car cover.

The tarp itself is huge, and useful in many, many situations. Not the most lightweight, but it still folds into a small package for carrying along. The multiple tether points are definitely a big plus, and it is waterproof. Would definitely recommend for the price.

If you’re looking for a cheap but decent tarp, this is the best you can get at this price. Would absolutely recommend. I’ve used it quite a bit and it hasn’t ripped or torn. Folds up pretty small, too! Definitely a good idea to keep one of these in your car just in case. I’m always pleasantly surprised with how great AmazonBasics products are!
