Love it. Take your time and put on some tunes
My original steering wheel was pitting and feels horrible to the touch. This leather covering made a night and day difference. Hope it last. Will update review if it doesn’t.I used the baseball stitch as per the included instruction sheet that lead to a YouTube video. It is very simple to install. It just takes time to complete.Tips:1) I used a ratcheting clamps to hold down the completed section so that it doesn’t unravel.2) A mirror came in handy to see the holes on the back side of the steering wheel.3) Put on the radio while you stitch this together. Be careful to not drain your car’s 12v battery, since this will take hours to complete. I attach a 12v charger to the battery to keep the battery topped off while in accessory mode.4) Size S4 fits perfectly for a 2007 Prius. It may seem too small, but the leather will stretch a bit when pulling the stitch tight.

Works great! Buy L4 version for tacomas fits snug.
Authentic feel and smell of leather. Took around an hour to install, but oddly satisfying. If I were to do it again, I wouldnât have gone straight through the holes around the cross sections of my steering wheel. Pulling the line tight in those sections made the leather scrunch up a little bit. Didnât read the instructions until after, it states to put âdummy stitchesâ in that area. Wouldâve likely came out better had I done that. All in all, a great product. Doesnât slide around like other aftermarket covers, feels better than my stock wheel and looks 10 times better than my old worn out wheel. For those wondering, I installed mine on a 2005 Tacomaâ bought the L4 version. No slack, fits perfect. I imagine most tacomas would use that size. Another thing to look out for is the overlapping of leather when pulling the thread tight. Make sure to lay one side over the other so itâs not at random. The result will be a lot more uniform and feel better on the hands. Definitely recommend for the price.

I love these steering wheel covers!
Be prepared to spend some quality time with your steering wheel. I have installed three of these now on various types of steering wheels, and they all turned out great. On my 1962 Corvair with the original thin steering wheel, I used a straight across stitch (see photo). On my GMC truck and Toyota Camry, which have the newer padded steering wheels, I used a baseball stitch. Not to brag, but I’m kind of proud of the finished product. However, like the title says, don’t hurry through the job. I spent an average of 3 hours on each one, with multiple “trips” around the wheel, tightening the thread in minute amounts each time. On the Camry which has “thumb bulges” at approximately the 10/2 positions, there was quite a bit of pulling to stretch the leather over the bulge, but it is quite capable of handling the stretch. I highly recommend this brand of real leather steering wheel cover. Everyone who drives these cars has commented on how much they like the feel and the grip.

a solid product with room for improvement
This lace-up leather steering wheel cover looks great and feels solid once installed, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, if your steering wheel has thick or wide spokes, this may not be the best option, there’s nothing included to secure the wrap around those areas, so it can look a bit unfinished.Second, they provide three lengths of cotton thread and three needles, which seems generousâuntil I realized the thread is about 5 inches too short per section. I had to splice in an extension, which isnât a huge deal but definitely an annoyance that couldâve been avoided with just slightly longer thread. That said, the install was pretty straightforward, but long..2 hours to do it carefully. I pulled each stitch nice and tight, and for now, itâs holding well. Time will tell if it loosens up with use.All in all, a solid product with room for improvementâbut still worth considering

Works good and feels decent for the price.
Follow the sizing chart and you should be good. Overall the quality and prices was good. It’s cheap enough that if it does get damages, it’s easily replaceable. The instructions listed gave a few good videos on learning to do the stitching and as a guy with no experience, I think I did well enough and am happy with how it looks. If your not looking to spend an hour or so then just get a universal one.

Donât Forget the Double Sided Tape!
By far and away one of the best upgrades to my car (68 Bug). Cover fit absolutely perfect. Took me a few hours to figure out the stitching but the final product looks totally professional. Absolutely Essential is using double sided tape (1/2â). There is no way that leather is going to stay tight enough to not slip without it. Just wrap the tape around the outside rim of the wheel and proceed with the cover. Mine hasnât moved a mm. So happy with this product.

Excellent Steering Wheel Cover for those patient enough to do the stiching,
The quality of this cover is outstanding. The materials provided and the instructions provide for a very satisfying installation and final product. Yes this takes time to install, it requires sewing over 100 stitches to complete and takes time, and requires patience and attention to detail to get the stitching tension consistent. If you are willing to take the time to install this cover you will be more than pleased with the installation, the feel and the durability of this cover. If you do not have the patience then do not order. It is not fair to give a one star review for an excellent product just because it takes significant effort to install.

Didn’t use it for my stering wheel but for my stroller handbar and bumper bar as they were torn and ugly. Ended up with a very nice result. Easy to install but takes time. The color is much darker than advertised.
