Great tent at an amazing price
I love this tent. It isn’t the lightest tent out there, but it served me well on my backpacking trip. I was able to fit the tent itself in my pack by removing the tent stakes from the bag and keeping them on the side of my pack. It was a great setup for me, as I don’t want too many things swinging around on the outside of my pack and messing with my center of gravity when hiking. The setup was also very quick and easy, as well as the take down. Condensation wasn’t a huge problem for me, even in heavy rain, but at this price point, you aren’t going to be 100% dry if it’s super humid out. The fly holds up well in the rain though, I left my shoes outside of my tent during the rain and they stayed dry. Like most tents, it technically could fit 2 people, but you will be very close to each other, especially if you’re trying to fit your gear into the tent too. I used the tent as a one person, and it worked beautifully, as I prefer having some extra space for my gear. The zipper on the tent is good too, but you’ll get it caught in the fabric if you don’t guide it up with a finger in front of it. No big deal though. Getting in and out of it wasn’t any trouble either, and I am a big guy at 6’4.

Love It!
I was looking for an economical tent for a family of 6 that I could take backpacking. I bought 2 of these and just loved them. They are very well thought out in the design and ease of putting together, I wish the footprint came with it, but even for an extra $30 it’s still far cheaper than anything else of quality. They were not overly roomy with 3 people, and our backpacks, but we didn’t feel like sardines either. Honestly I expected it to be more cramped. I definitely recommend this tent!Update- Apr 2021,Took it backpacking at Caprock Canyon with my brother, still a wonderful tent!!! I’ll probably go lighter for backpacking by myself, but it’s still a wonderfully light tent for a family or 3 people.Update Aug ’21Just got back from a 4 day backpacking trip in Colorado. I was planning on taking a smaller, half the weight tent, but it didn’t come in on time. I’m impressed every time I set this one up. It’s so simple you could set it up in the dark. It is starting to get some frays in the fabric, but I imagine it’ll last a while longer. The visibility without the rain fly is amazing. If there’s no rain or dew I highly recommend sleeping with the fly off, it’s just beautiful!!! For a no name cheap tent, I just couldn’t be more impressed. I already bought a $400 ultralight 2p tent to replace this one, but I will continue to come back to this one when I take out my whole family.Update Aug 2022Just got back from taking a group of 7 backpacking near Crested Butte. Yet again these were wonderful tents. I had 5 kids sleeping in 2 of them. They are easy to set up and are still holding together perfectly. We got rained on everyday but they were completely rainproof, except the day it rained on us for 6 hrs. There was condensation build up, but on my $400 tent I had the same issue. Still a great tent!

Would have been a 4.5 stars if I could
I purchased the 3 person Gray Bessport for a small hiking trip that is coming up. I tested the tent by taking it to the local campgrounds just to see how I felt about it.It is a lightweight tent, easy to add to someone’s backpack without adding too much of a load. When I set up the tent, I began to connect the tent poles and was surprised to see that they were all connected to form the frame. I was able to get the frame on the tent easily by myself. There are no fabric loops to put the poles through, instead it is all plastic clips to attached the fabric to the frame. The fly also went on easily by myself. The description says that there are supposed to be clips to attach the fly to each corner. This was mostly true, mine had three of the four clips, with one being replaced with a loop that I just hooked over the stake.I was the idiot who tried to push the stakes through rocks and bent three of them in the process, so i doubt it was the stakes fault for bending. Each of the stake loops had an additional circle of string attached on it, probably to make staking it down easier. Two of these additional loops came undone while I was staking it and two more came undone in moderately light wind.I am 6’7″ and this was a good length for me to sleep in. There was maybe 8-12″ of wiggle room split between both my head and feet. I’m a bigger guy and could easily see using this three person tent to sleep with someone of equal size and our gear in the tent. Zipper troubles can be a pain with a tent, but I didn’t have any issue with the inside door or the fly zipper.I didn’t see it in the item pictures and I didn’t think to take one while I had the tent erect, but there isn’t a hard definition from where the wall ends and the floor begins, meaning that all the walls sloped in until it was the floor. The tent protected me from the light wind (20 mph WNW) extremely well. It was a bit chilly at 35-40F, so it will be great once it warms up a bit more.Taking the tent down was incredibly easy. With no rush whatsoever, I took the tent down and put it in the bag in 12 minutes alone. The bag was also big enough that with my poor folding job I was able to get the tent in the bag.TLDR:Pros:-Easy Set Up/Take Down-Light Weight-Sleeps a tall guy-Weather Resistant-No Zipper IssuesCons-Something that was unnecessary anyways came undone-One of the four corner clips wasn’t on the fly, but still functional

When this item arrived, we were in the middle of a torrential downpour for about 5 days. Setting up the tent was super quick and very easy and we started this inside the house. My 9 year old even said, “That was easy” when we had finished. When the rain stopped for about an hour, we walked the tent outside into the backyard and pegged it to the ground. Then the torrential rain continued for another few days. Each day, I looked inside the tent and dry as a bone. Very well made and the design is very well thought out. In terms of the dual door openings, this is an excellent design where falling rain didn’t go into the tents as you enter. This tent was used with the groundsheet suited for it. The only minor comment is that the ground sheet was made only for the foot print of the tent base and not the door opening areas.
