Customers say
Customers find the tent easy to set up and appreciate its design. Moreover, the water retention is positive, with one customer noting no condensation inside. However, the quality receives mixed feedback, with some finding it well-made while others say it’s poorly constructed for its price. Additionally, the roominess and zipper durability are mixed aspects, with some finding it roomy and the zippers heavy-duty, while others report holes in the material. The functionality and snag level also get mixed reviews.

All it was promoted as…
The point- One great design, one good tent. My wife would tell you I research things to death. And that is exactly how I approached this. We had a small RV, but really wanted to pull our small boat more than a trailer to be able to explore waterways. Our answer, find the perfect tent for an early retirement couple.(I think they call that “Glamping”) Criterion; 1. Waterproof and strong. 2. Ease of use. 3. Interior space, (full headroom and space to stretch out.) My research lead me to 2 candidates, the Bushnell 6 person, and a British made Coleman Cortes 8 person (not available in US but shippable on Amazon) . While I loved the fixed door on the Cortes, the Bushnell won out due to ease of use. And boy is it easy. I assembled the tent for the first time by myself in about 3 minutes (not including fly). Granted I had watched every video I could find beforehand. This tent does simply pop up. The 210D materials are significantly more durable than the polyester and nylon tents I previewed at big sporting stores and the material does a great job of blocking morning sunlight even though it’s not a black out tent. The rain rating is 2000mm while the floor is 3000mm. Most tents fall in the range of 1200ish. 1500 is widely considered the minimum waterproof rating. Zippers are heavy duty. The day I assembled it was quite windy and I had no challenges and the tent stood on it’s own even before I could stake it down. I had read a few reviews which noted snags in the screens which was my only hesitation in buying the tent. Sure enough upon inspection, there where several small snags, none of which I would have noticed if I had not been looking for them. They appear to be more of a minor manufacturing defect than mishandling or assembly issues. Still you would think Bushnell would address this. No big deal in my book, but I can understand why someone might fuss. This is an honest four person tent, 6 people could sleep, but perfect for 2 who want some room to live not just sleep. Our full height inflatable queen mattress takes up about 50% of the space, allowing us to use an inflatable couch and camping table as well. While it assembles very easily, the trade off is the size of the package. Folded up, it is just over 6′ long. It just fit in the back of my SUV with the rear seat folded down. At 37lbs its not heavy, just awkward. Getting the tent back in it’s bag is not the easiest, nor the hardest thing you will ever do. Went through a solid 3 hour rain on our first weekend and not a drop came in. The first question of the RVer next door in the morning was whether we stayed dry. I happily reported, “very dry.”. I hesitated on the price, the Coleman Cortes was notably less, but upon first assembly I can see the value. Great design. Even the guy lines have their own little pocket storage on the floor, so you didn’t have to fold then up. If you plan to camp like an RVer but want simplicity this tent should be on your short list

Great product and met expectations
Since this is a new tent I couldn’t find too much on it besides maybe a handful of actual useful reviews.Upon delivery the box is huge so if you order the 8 person make sure your vehicle can fit the tent itself when traveling. A smaller car or suv will not be adequate at all, so beware. IT IS VERY LONG.Unboxing and set up was easy just like in the couple videos of set ups that are online. It does take 2 people because since the tent is so big and heavy, it kind of droops on one side making it annoying to set up by yourself. But other than that the poles are easy to place into stiffen up the tent as they should and make it ready to stake down.Stakes are basic and kind of suck so perhaps use a mallet or hammer instead of stepping on them and bending them all to hell. After putting up the rain fly make sure you do not over tighten down the lines to secure your tent otherwise it can lean to one side which I learned my lesson. So the main points:It’s extremely spacious inside, whether you use it for 8 people or 2, there’s enough space for everyone. Me and my wife bought it so we have space for our gear when we’re camping for a lengthy time and we couldn’t be happier. One room for our queen air mattress and another room we set up a table for our bags and gear.Secondly the way it stands up in the rain. We first used it in northern wisconsin and 2 days back to back we had very bad thunderstorms. I was worried the tent was going to leak or rain was going to blow in from the top vents but after unsnapping them and tucking in the long arm from the rain fly no water came in. An added note: I also sprayed down the tent with a basic water proofing spray that I got from Cabelas and that helps a lot. There was 2 points that had minimal dripping but that didn’t really make a difference since we got so much rain those 2 days. This is a great buy and recommend to anyone wanting more space.

Rainfly fasteners broke on first setup
The tent itself seemed of good quality, and as advertised was easy set up. However, the very first use of my three night outing, the rainfly clip fasteners broke on setup. One was on the female side of the clip. Then one on the male clips. At this point we were being extremely careful, when the third male clip broke! It did rain two nights. Bushnell, really? This is advertised as a four seasons tent. What a waste, to cheap out on the rainfly plastic clip fasteners is pathetic. I’ve used cheap Coleman tent for years and never have had this issue. Perhaps you could check and see who their supplier is? For five times the cost, I’m very disappointed.

1st time
So this is my first tent at a festival, also my first pop out tent. The setup was amazingly quick and easy. I didn’t read any instructions and still got it together fast. It was raining at the festival and I didn’t get wet. I liked the design of it all from the zippers to the pockets. I would say definitely worth the money if you are setting everything up alone and the durability. Even some of my friends were impressed by it. BTW the rain fly gave me the hardest time but again I was by myself. Totally time for setup ad a solo 5’6″ person with rods and rain fly 15 minutes. If I didn’t need the rain fly probably 6 minutes in total ( I also laid down a tarp ).
