Better than my outdated camping inflatable sleeping pad.
I have been looking at air mattresses in the past couple months. I have been wanting to replace my outdated camping air mattresses. It is amazing how far air mattresses have come since I bought my last one.The one I really liked was memory foam with a price tag of $300. When I saw this, I had to try it. It is a fraction the cost.I didn’t have high expectations.Upon receiving:I took it out of the box and let it inflate. Then I inflated it some more. So far, I have laid on it while watching tv. It seems to work well for side sleeping. I found it comfortable watching tv.I have left it inflated for a week now. Trying it out here and there. I am happy with it so far.I am going camping shortly and am choosing to bring this over my normal camping mat.Inflating:It inflates very easily. The foot pump works excellent. There is no effort in inflating.Deflating:This went well. I rolled it up once and deflated as much as I could. I unrolled and rolled one more time. It condenses to a size that is quite manageable and takes far less space than the $300 one I was looking at.Durability:This seems well constructed. My dog has even slept on it and it held up to him.5 stars:Unless I come back from my next camping trip and sleep worse than on the air mattress I have now, this will stay 5 stars. It is better than my outdated camping pad.

Will use for Fall car camping
I haven’t tried this out in colder temperatures yet, but I can tell it’s going to be best for that. It is very thick and sleeping on it in hotter weather has been challenging. That said, it is as comfortable as similar mats I’ve used. One challenge I’ve found is airing it up and deflating it, it seems like it’s simple but in practice just has an extra step that seems unnecessary (use of the foot).

I’m impressed with this mattress!
Wow. Blew away my expectations. I expected this to be they typical air mattress. The added foam is a great addition. I’ve borrowed a similar one before and really liked it and was hoping this one would be just as good. I camp a lot. I generally use a 3″ memory foam mattress in my vehicle in the winter and a 4″ one in a tent in the summer. As you could imagine, the 3″ memory foam mattress takes up a lot of room. That’s why I decided to try this one. I opened the package and opened the valves like the instructions said. I let it sit for a couple of days. It was more or less expanded and I only pumped it up with foot pump a few times. I actually overinflated the pad. I laid down on it and fell asleep for a few hours. I woke up, grabbed a pillow and slept on it the rest of the night. In the morning, I thought it was low on air and it was. I assume I didn’t plug one of the valves tight as it opened and all the air came out. So, I don’t know exactly how long I slept without air but it wasn’t uncomfortable. I was able to roll up the pad very easily and put it into the included bag (shoes are Men’s 9 for scale). This mattress will take up less than a fifth of what the 3″ memory foam mattress does. As it’s summertime in Phoenix, AZ right now, I cannot comment on the claimed 9.5 R-value. Overall, I’m really happy with this mattress. It’s much more stable and comfortable than just the typical air mattress although it does take up more space than a typical single air mattress.

Deluxe Camp Sleeping Mat
I’ve been hanging out in there outdoors for years…….all the way back to the days of those hideous thin “ensolite pads,” and more recently, thick foam slab inflatable pads, covered in the same material that is used in making river rafts. These were nice, but insanely big and bulky, and difficult to achieve a uniform pressure, so you’d experience a “hammock” effect often when lying down. This one is a perfect version of comfort and relative compact size. Certainly not for backpacking, but for car camping, base camp, or kayak camping, is is great.Mine inflated fairly quickly and easily the first time, and I topped it off nice and tight with the foot/hand pump, leaving it that way overnight. I store all of my inflatable camping pads about 2/3rds inflated, in a stack, along with my sleeping bags. I never keep pads or bags compressed and in stuff sacks during storage.Subsequent inflations were quick and easy, and the foot pump works really well. You can adjust the firmness of the mattress with the pump, to suit your tastes.Read the instructions carefully, because, including the pump, there are three valves altogether, and they must be used in various combinations of open/closed to work properly.Great pad at a very fair price.

Great Idea, Great Design, But Not Super Soft
I really love the idea for this sleep mat. It rolls up quite small and is easy to carry and transport. Removing from the bag and inflating doesnât take long at all. I love the idea of a built in pump and it worked very well the 3 times that weâve done it. Both my parents and I tried it out – just laying on it for a few minutes and it seemed decently comfortable. Much better than sleeping on the ground. However, my 12 year old daughter slept on it and said it wasnât that comfortable to sleep on all night – she had it on thicker carpet, too. She regularly sleeps on a firm mattress so I thought she would like this, but she said it was too hard for a full night of sleeping. We have a lot of tent sleeping coming up, so we will all get a chance to see how comfortable it is.Honestly, though, I think this would be excellent for use during hiking. It would keep one off the ground and give at least a little cushion. Plus, it isnât heavy to carry and the pump is built in and works quickly. I donât think itâs reasonable to expect the comfort of a full mattress in something thatâs less than 2 inches thick.

This inflated quite easily and without needing to bring my own pump which is really handy. The pad is super thick and I actually really liked sleeping on it: it felt supportive and while some inflatable pads can feel a little… precarious, this felt really nice. When not in use, it rolls up quite nice

I needed a more comfortable summer camping mat so I decided to try this one which has a built-in pump and seemed very portable for its size.Pros :- The fabric is really pleasant to the touch and feels solid.- I slept really well on it because it’s pretty wide for what it is and I tend to move around when I sleep.- Its built-in pump works really well. It only takes a few seconds to fully inflate. You just have to read the instruction manual carefully.- It doesn’t take very long to store. The deflating valve is large, so it deflates very quickly if needed.- It comes with an built-in pillow which I find modest in height but it’s enough to sleep pretty nice if I don’t bring a “real” pillow.Cons :- It’s very long to put this in the common 2 places tent I have. Mine is 78 inches long and this mat is around 79 inches long. That’s why I suggest buyers carefully check the size of their tent, hammock, or bivouac to make sure you have a few inches of wiggle room. Conclusion :I love this mat. It’s a pleasure to sleep on it and I like the fact that it is super lightweight and once folded , it doesn’t take a lot of place. It’s just thick enough to give a good sleep experience. I personally hate having a mattress that is shorter than my height or too fitted so this one is really great in that aspect. I’m 5’6″ and have just a little bit of wiggle room at the top and bottom, without bending my legs.If you check correctly the size of your tent, it’s a super nice choice and considering the global quality , I feel that it’s listed price of 35.99$ is a good price. It could even be sold around 40$ and still be and okay price to me.I recommend it.

Rolled size is 11″ long x around 5.5″ diameterWeighs 967g (just the mattress without the drawstring bag, instructions, patches.)I was pleasantly surprised that the mattress has no chemical odour. Materials seem to be very good quality. The foot pump is a springy foam donut enclosed within the mattress. It’s a clever design and works well. It is so much easier than blowing by lung, and better since you are not introducing moisture/bacteria from your breath into the mattress where it can’t escape. It takes about 200 pumps for me to inflate the mattress. You can also inflate it using your hands if standing up is not practical like when inside a tent. The side opposite the pump is the pillow side which is slightly raised. To preserve the life of these kind of mattresses I recommend not rolling very tightly, since places where it folds tightly and repeatedly stress the air-tight coating. I usually sandwich it with the sleeping bag and roll all together. The sleeping bag on the outside adds some protection since anything that could puncture would need to get through the sleeping bag first.Treated well I think it would last a long time.

Honestly the foot pump takes a good 3-5 minutes to fully inflate the mat. It’s tedious, but gets the job done. I never know whether to put the pump valve on top under the foot, or on the bottom. Either way works, but I generally put it on the top. Personally though, if you have an electronic inflator you can use it to fill it up from the main release valve at the pillow end and it works soooo much faster. That’s generally how I do it now, only using the foot pump to top it up.As for the size, I’m 6′ tall and it’s essentially perfect for my height. When I lie down on my back with my head squarely in the middle of the fat pillow end, my feet don’t reach past the edge of the mat. But it’s close. If I lie on my stomach with my feet fully extended out, my toes just barely manage to reach the ground. So it’s right on I’d say. The width however is rather narrow, so keeping the arms close to the body is a must if you want to keep them from falling off the sides. Personally, I think it’s ideal for a side-sleeper as long as you keep the profile consistent as you flip over. No “rolling” from side to side if that makes sense.Once you fill it up with air though, the mat weighs practically nothing. So if you’re thinking about taking it to the beach (an excellent idea), you’ll definitely want to lay something heavy on it when not in use (maybe weigh down the sides of your towel), otherwise it could fly away with a strong gust of wind. I have another mat that’s practically identical and that already happened to me twice. Ended up creating a small tether with a plastic stake, tying it to the loop on the pump valve and staking it to the sand or grass underneath. That’s why I always keep the pump valve on the bottom side now – which is absolutely doable since the mat is essentially the same on both sides. As for the material, it’s rather crinkly and thin, but it’ll take my 160 lbs frame with no problem and still keep me off of the ground. However, I’ll admit that it can be tough getting it pumped up tight because the foot pump becomes stiffer as the mat fills up with air. Nevertheless, I find it perfectly comfortable to sleep on and certainly better than the hard ground or even a thick foam mat. You just need to be careful not to be wearing anything sharp because punctures would be my primary concern. Still, if you cover it with a blanket or towel, you get an extra layer of protection and absorption because the mat material doesn’t absorb water whatsoever. Haven’t taken it out on the water, but I’m not sure it’d have the buoyancy to support an adult frame. It’ll obviously float, but might not have enough air inside to keep someone heavy above the water line.Otherwise, I think it’s a pretty decent mat. Not easy to roll it back up and stuff it into the bag though. That seems to be a common thing with these types of mats. They never give us a large enough storage bag. Takes some effort and precision, but it can be done. Four stars overall.

Today I am reviewing the Euhams Camping Sleeping Pad – Ultra-Thick Camping Mattress Pad. The sleeping pad is designed to self-inflate but also has a built-in foot pump to get just the right firmness that is required for a good nightâs sleep. I used the foot pump to see how much you can pump it up. I was surprised at how firm you can get this mattress as I am a side sleeper and most sleeping pads donât fare well with side sleepers. Iâm happy to report this held up and me being 240 lbs that says something. As far as length, Iâm just under 6 ft tall and had no issues with length. The one thing I can comment on is that I wish the built-in pillow area was a little thick to elevate the back just a bit more. Other than that, itâs a great sleeping pad.Deflating is as simple as opening the one-way release valve and rolling the air out. The sleeping pad does come with a carry/storage bag. Once rolled up, it is about 25×8 inches and about 6 lbs. I think this is good for car camping but too heavy perhaps for backpacking. Overall, I highly recommend this sleeping pad as itâs comfortable, easy to inflate and deflate, and it has an R value of 9 so you wonât get that cold coming up from the ground.
