Much too small – chocking hazard (some pieces)
This is a most curious set of blocks, especially if you were to take them at their word from the advertisement. I would not recommend these for a child who still puts things in their mouth, and the ad, which is terribly photoshopped, gives the recommended age of 20 yrs old. It shows an older man using them, with an airplane built out of these, who has to be in his late 50’s. The plane is a good 4 – 5 x bigger than what would actually be if your child were to make the exact same thing, as these blocks are very tiny. It also shows two girls (in separate photo shopped pictures) near the blocks, who appear to be older teens to early 20’s – none of which would actually be playing with blocks – with blocks much larger than the actual size. And yet they are advertised as safe, not a choking hazard, a great addition to any playroom, and it goes on to list the STEM qualities they feel these touch upon, clearly for children. There is nothing about this that makes sense. First, I must say these definitely ARE a choking hazard with some of the pieces. The blocks themselves are well made, colorful, seemingly made out of quality material, but very small. Nothing like the blocks that were standard sized for a generation ago. Blocks need to be bigger for little hands to manipulate and for them to remain fun as a child grows. They do come with a very convenient storage bag, but do not arrive in anything that would be giftable. I am not sure I can recommend them.
