If you only want one basic mixing bowl, this is a great choice.
It’s got a nice side slope to make it easy to hand-mix batters; it’s a great size for serving salads; a good size for a single or double batch of rising bread dough. The material is stainless, which is durable, easy to clean and sterilize, and useful if you need to make it kosher. This was purchased for a person who is establishing a first-time kitchen equipment collection. It’s a basic, fundamental size. If you are only searching for one basic mixing bowl, this could be a great choice if the price is right for you.

Best Bowl for Brining and Mixing!
Got this bowl to brine Napa cabbage to make kimchi. It’s the perfect size for brining 4 to 6 lbs of Napa cabbage without the bowl being overcrowded. I like that it’s not too heavy. Moving it around with food in it isn’t tiresome (I know you’re think, what??) – I’m a very petite person and sometimes it can be pretty tiring moving things around your kitchen when it’s full of food. Anyway, it’s the perfect size and weight for my uses. Will probably purchase another one bc you can always use a good size mixing bowl. I will continue to use silicone utensils with it so it doesn’t get scratched up.

Mice mixing bow – flimsy bottom
Mice mixing bowl, but the bottom is flimsy and loudly pops scaring my puppy…

Sturdy useful bowl
Got this to serve a pancake breakfast for a bunch of kids. It’s a tough bowl with plenty of room for mixing. There is no indent for pouring the contents out, but easily to work with a spatula. Cleaning was easy and it shined right back up nicely.

Perfect for meal preparation or baking, light weight too.

Good as a large, lightweight popcorn bowl
I primarily use this as a popcorn bowl because of it’s large size and light weight. I suspect that the shiny finish will scratch easily if you use it as a mixing bowl and use any metal utensils. However, if you use only utensils made of synthetic materials, it will probably be fine.

This works as an excellent replacement for my Brinkmann’s charcoal smoker 13″ water pan which is no longer manufactured.
