Get a sleeping bag that packs up small and keeps you warm with the Coleman Kompact 20°F Rectangular Sleeping Bag. Thanks to Coletherm Max premium and lightweight fill, you’ll get better heat retention with less weight. The compressible stuff sack with cinchable side straps tightens the sleeping bag into a compact size making it easier to carry and store. You’ll stay warm throughout the night thanks to the Thermolock draft tube that prevents heat from escaping through the zipper—and with the ZipPlow zipper you get snag-free opening and closing every time. The Comfort Cuff design provides soft protection and comfort around your face as you fall asleep. When it’s time to pack up, the Roll Control design keeps your sleeping bag straight while you’re rolling it and thanks to the Quick Cord tying system the bag stays securely rolled. After your last camping adventure of the season, place the sleeping bag in the washing machine so it’s good to go for next time. Light and compact. Meets the temperature rating. May not long enough for tall people.
I use it for camping in SoCal and it works just fine.

Great Light Weight Compact Sleeping Bag
This sleeping bag is perfect for hiking, traveling, and even overnight stays. It is very comfortable and the size is just right. It is easy to stuff in the included bag. I have been using this sleeping bag for a year now and it still looks like new.

Good bag
Smaller and lighter than most Coleman bags, will free up some trunk room, but probably not small or light enough to fit in a pack. The inside liner is more of a brushed polyester, instead of the smoother outside regular polyester, which I find less comfortable. Nice bag for the price.

Reliable name
My granddaughter is 9 and was just about to outgrow her little-girl sleeping bag so for Christmas I replaced it with this Coleman. She loved the bright colors and I love the price and that it’s going to last her into adulthood and that Coleman is made in USA.

The zipper design.
Most zippers on sleeping bag are terrible. This is amazing patent zipper. It won’t caught on the side when you zip up. It is warm and very comfortable inside. Highly recommend.

Not ideal for tall people
One of the main reasons I purchased this bag was the description of Big & Tall Design for campers up to 6’5″. Well, I’m 6’3″ and this bag isn’t quite long enough for me. It appears that the bag measures 6’5″ if you measure the bottom of the bag from the toe to the curved portion that gets positioned under your head. When I lay in the bag, I have 2″ of space above my head if my toes are jammed to the very bottom of the bag…but the part of the bag that is on top of me is much shorter than that. So, I can’t get inside the bag entirely at 6’3″.

Nice bag but not long enough for 6â3â man
Great quality, lightweight for backpacking but it is too short for me being 6â3â.

Great sleeping bag, a little hard to store
My son took it on a trek in the mountains. It is not the most size-efficient for backpacking although you can strap it down and make it really tight with enough effort. I would also recommend having a buddy to help you put it in the bag if you prefer rolling, but stuffing is also an option. However, the actual sleeping bag was excellent. It kept him insulated and comfortable during the night, and the zipper didnât get caught. It is very wide so donât use a pad or mattress that is too narrow.

I’m a pretty seasoned backpacker and hiker. Bought this sleeping bag to replace one I’ve been using for several years. While it is warm and toasty, at least compared to my last ~5C temp bag, it’s quite large and has some weight to it. Probably only around 3lbs, but still more than I expected. I crushed it down as far as I could, but think it will be beneficial to add a second compression strap and see if I can’t get it smaller.I’ve used it on a couple different trips in the last week and find, too, that you need to carry a separate underquilt or similar. If it’s around 5c, you will still get a bit chilly with just a sleeping pad and the usual bottom tarp/tent floor/truck bed. Second trip I brought my old sleeping bag along to lay underneath and had a toasty sleep. So, it’s not quite that you have all that bulk but you’re good; you’ll have all that bulk then still need to bring extra sleeping materials on top of your usual long baselayers.Having said that, I do absolutely love this sleeping bad all the same. The inside material is almost like a micro-fleece/faux-suede situation that is really nice to slip into after a long day hiking/fishing/kayaking. The sleeping bag’s zipper isn’t drafty in the least and slides relatively easily up and down without much yanking or fidgeting. The bag has a built-in strap to help you compress it down after you roll it, and frivolous though it may be, I do like the colours and their brightness and fidelity. Lastly, there is a pocket towards the top opening of the sleeping bag that seems meant to hold a phone, keys, etc. It’s a bit too small to securely hold my iThing 12 Pro Max if that matters to anyone. Great size for holding a lighter and any smokables, though.Oh I just remembered so I’m throwing it here: I think my hot mug of tea may have melted the exterior material slightly after resting upon it for a few seconds, a couple times one morning. On my next excursion I’ll double check whether or not I’m right about this and update the review.
