Customers say
Customers find the sleeping bag excellent for colder weather, with good insulation and top-notch quality. They appreciate its comfort at below-freezing temperatures and consider it good value for the price. The size receives mixed feedback – while some find it roomy, others say it doesn’t pack down very small. The durability is positive, with one customer noting it holds up well in the washing machine. The zipper quality also gets mixed reviews, with some saying it’s the best ever while others report it snags every 2 feet. Several customers find it too heavy for backpacking.

Will help you survive during winter power outages.
In this day and age, you should prepare for extended power outages (read newspapers to see how often this happens). If the power goes out in the winter, this sleeping bag can help you (and family members and pets) stay warm. I have several of these and another one rated at -40F. If you take care of these, they will last a life time. And yes, makes a great camping sleeping bag as well.

Great bags for cold weather camping.
I was dubious about the 0° claim but turns out it’s true. Me and my son camped last night in these it was about 20°F outside and around 8°F with wind chill and these bags were uncomfortably warm for a while, 100% honest. It was like an oven just from body heat. Hours into the night it does eventually leak out some but we stayed warm the entire time so long as you’re bundled in it correctly with the chambers tight where they need to be.Now a con I have is that I’m not a huge dude, 5’11” and 190lbs or so and it’s kind of tight around my shoulder area which honestly is probably how it’s supposed to be. I am a side sleeper at home and keep my arms out and/or under my head/pillow so this bag took some getting used to.At ~$80 or so for these bags I am insanely impressed with their performance. The expensive down bags seem like the go to but it’s a bottomless hole of money if you go high end everything. We don’t camp enough to justify that. Add in that cold weather camping means there’s a ton of moisture due to the difference in temps between outside and inside and down being useless when wet, these bags make a ton of sense all around with their synthetic insulation. They are heavy and bulky however. I don’t have a good down bag to compare but I imagine they can be packed tighter and weigh less. So that’s the real trade off.We also used R-value 7 memory foam self-inflating sleeping pads which is a huge part of the deal to keep the ground from sinking all your body heat directly out of you and the bag. Hope this helps anyone looking, if you’re worried about staying warm within the rated temps don’t be. In fact I’d go far enough to say these are probably unusable in warm weather they’re SO warm, we shall see. Maybe unzipped and as a blanket.

Awesome. Warm and comfy. Great deal for price. Does not fit in storage bag. I used an 80L dry bag. Minor issue. Highly recommend.

Iâm 6ft2/95kgs and the length and width of the bag is ok.Enough space at the feet and shoulders to be able to roll over and not have the whole thing become a tangled mess during the night. Wide enough to be able to lay on your side and hang a knee off to the side for support as well. The hood is really great, keeping my head warm.To be honest I left it half unzipped as I was getting too hot during the night, using it more like a doona than a sleeping bag.

This Coleman mummy style is warm. I was BAKING within 2 minutes of being inside it!Fair enough I was indoors and not in very cold temperatures but it feels warm within 1, 2 minutes of being inside, it seems to be so well insulated.I feel so good being inside it, like a cocoon. I love the feel of the material, it is not a cold or itching material, even in tshirt I like the feel of the material against my skin.It seems to be made of excellent quality.I did not feel claustrophobic despite its mummy style.I had bought this sleeping bag originally for a member of my family who is younger, slimmer and taller than me and expected this member to test the sleeping bag as it did not happen as I was told later, I tried it out.I had bought this Coleman mummy sleeping bag for this member and I received today Coleman Big Basin sleeping bag that is of rectangular shape and not as restrictive in the feet area ( I have not tested the Coleman Big Basin sleeping bag yet) but I could easily use that mummy style sleeping bag.I did not feel like I could not stand the mummy style cut of the sleeping bag on my feet. Plus at 1m66 as my feet are higher up, I have even more room width wise. There is plenty of room on the top of my legs, stomach and shoulders area.I even closed the hood without feeling claustrophobic.Without a pillow under my head I felt comfortable in the hood, I felt supported under the neck without even realising I was, I felt cushioned with the top of the sleeping bag.The zip is strong, seems well made, of good quality and does not catch. In fact the whole sleeping bag seems extremely well made.I am in love with this Coleman sleeping bag.I took it to the bedroom to try it out on top of the bed and it is not heavy and cumbersome, it is reasonably light. The Coleman bag the sleeping bag came however, is a disappointment.I was unable to put the sleeping bag inside, the bag is too small. But if there is a choice between return this sleeping bag because of the bag it came in, I choose to keep this sleeping bag and buy another bag to put it in.I am so impressed with this sleeping bag, it is warm, cosy and beautiful to be in it.Even to look at it, to handle the sleeping bag, its zip, the material we can tell the workmanship is superb!!
