Great adventures can happen anywhere, that’s why Coleman made these Pop-Up tents. The Coleman 2-Person Pop-Up Camping Tent sets up in just 10 seconds so you can get to the fun faster when you’re camping out in the backyard or checking out the lineup at a music festival. Plus, it folds flat making it easy to store and carry for the next time you head out. When it’s raining out, position the adjustable rainfly to help protect against wind and rain while keeping the tent well ventilated. Taped floor seams also help keep you dry, and the gear pockets can be used to store phone, keys, and other small items.

Customers say
Customers find the tent easy to set up and transport, describing it as a great car camping option that’s perfect for summer nights. The size receives mixed feedback – while it’s spacious enough for a sleeping bag, some find it too small for two people. Durability is also mixed, with some saying it’s well-made while others note the material is thin. The zipper quality is problematic, with customers reporting it’s difficult to zip up. The tent performs well in heavy rain, keeping gear completely dry, though some note it’s not the best against heavier rains. The folding mechanism receives mixed reviews – while it pops open easily, customers find it difficult to fold and put away.

Quick Setup and Fold Down – Perfect for my beach needs!
Its a great little piece of kit in my opinion!I dont use this to “camp” per say – rather its my refuge when I go to the beach.Normally I bring a traditional tent (Coleman also coincidentally) and the setup and break down normally takes me a good 15 minutes both ways. This little guy is lighter overall – Pops open in seconds (less than 10 IMO) – and can fold back down in 10 with practice.I suggest to PRACTICE! I got this and yolo’d it at the beach and was super cool popping it open… only to have all the “cool” sucked out as I struggled to get this folded back to put into the carry case :P.You know its like walking in a awesome stride… only to trip and stumble .. yes like that! All in all its a good size – my wife and I can sit in the opening side by side to get some shade – it will BARELY fit 2 people but a great “solo” tent if you’re doing a overnight thing.Inside wise its got venting to let air in at the top of the tent while being covered by a rain shroud of sorts so keeps wetness out.For my needs .. this is PERFECT… just need it for the beach.. quick setup.. quick tear down.. lightweight..All in all one of my impulse purchases that I didnt regret!

because I was camping with others that made me show them how easy it was a few times it may have lost …
After a few practice setups and more importantly, take downs, I tested this tent (2P) camping this past weekend. IT does indeed go up very quickly and one could argue that is goes down just about as fast. However, because I was camping with others that made me show them how easy it was a few times it may have lost its speed advantage over other tents. People find it amazing and want to see it.The test also included it in both some mild wind and some rain. It handled both very well and did not leak a drop! The issues others have pointed out about the door being inset when open and water getting in that way are indeed true, but minor. Many tents get wet around the door in the rain as folks enter and exit. You just wipe it up. I might rig a tiny fly extension for it to prevent this when using it in the future. All of my other tents that get used frequently are Sierra Designs, two of which are four season tents. Is this one as good as those? No, no it is not. In âreal weather,â or backpacking Iâd use the Sierra Designs tents. But they take far more effort and time to setup and take down. In good weather the Pop Up has them beat!I also use a Sierra Designs Baffin Bivy and though not a tent, it is used for speed, i.e set up and take down camp fast. It is still faster than the Coleman Popup, but not by a lot and the Pop Up is certainly more comfortable and less of an issue in rain.Others have pointed out issues taking the tent down and folding it up, even broken polls while doing this. I did not have any issue. I watched the YouTube videos and made a point of being gentle. I practiced a lot. I can fold it up in well under a minute. I have folded it up maybe 40 times without any poll issues or failures. To those having issues, practice, never force it and watch the you tube videos of the folks who know how to do it. It is really, really, easy.Others have pointed out the door zipper can be difficult to zip. This is also true and more so when the tent is staked out. It is not a one handed operation, but to be just, on all three of my Sierra Designs tents, it is a two handed operation also, and mostly where the door corves when they are put up tight. The Coleman was the same, though it is slightly harder to zip up. Iâd ding it for that, but I got used to it pretty fast. It is another thing where being gentle with it will have rewards. Some have pointed out the cloth floor as an issue. Though, many tents have fabric flows this one seems thin and may be a vulnerable spot. I used a small tarp under It (I use fitted ground cloths with my other tents). I sized the tarp so most of the water running off the tent hit dirt and not the tarp (so the water does not go under the tent). I did not have any problems. Finally, it comes down to how many stars. I could easily say my Sierra Designs, tents are 5 stars and therefore this must be something far less. However, the Sierra Designs tents cost three to five times as much! The ease of setup earns this tent a great score. For the price this Coleman Popup is 100% worth it. Five stars.

This is my 3rd one, all still in use great for it’s purpose
As the title says I have 3 of these tents and still use all. I got the original one (4 person) maybe 10 years ago and it’s still going strong as is my regular go to car camping tent. I got the second on (2 person) for my son, then just got a second 4 person one because he grew and wanted some more room. Now let me start this with the statement that there is no perfect tent, but there are some tents near perfect for certain conditions. This is one that hits a home run under some common uses and that’s why I got this. Those circumstances would be car camping (drive up to the campsite), where you just need the tent for sleeping (not a hang out tent, though kids may), and don’t want to fuss with set up or take down. This is ideal for arriving after dark or when other activities are going on once you arrive. Also ideal when you want to quickly pack up (once you learn how to do it, it’s a learning curve once mastered is easy).Great car camping tent which is exactly why I got it (this is not backpacking tent). Setup is pretty much instant – including the fly in place, fold down is OK once you get the hang of it, took a few tries and a youtube vid (one fold is tricky and hard to get from the instructions). But once you get it it goes down pretty fast. Better to practice this as it would be hard to do in the field. Plenty of room for 2 people, a 3rd is OK a forth, now we are cozy.I have also just used the 2 person one inside the 4 person for a warmer winter experience as an experiment which did make a difference and it was easy to do and take down. Why the 4 stars instead of 5, well the zipper tends to catch the fabric, and the fold down does seem to have the potential of snapping of the fiber glass supports. Also there is a second inner screen door that they don’t provide a way of getting just that door out of your way which would be easy as all the parts are there already, just in the wrong order. I also want to comment about rain, one can expect some rain to sometimes get in around the door. When it happens, it has always been a small amount of water by the entrance and usually there is nothing there so not a problem but something to be aware of. That said it withstood many downpours.

Très facile à installer, 10 secondes! Pour le rangement un peu plus de sport, par contre avec la vidéo Youtube ça quand même bien été.Testé sous une faible pluie et je suis restée au sec.

Best. Tent. Ever. Seriously. Ok – Probably not for long huge camping trips but for a night or two at a festival or a cottage party – its the best. Literally no set up, thin to pack, light to carry, easy to take down once you’ve got the motion, it has been the best investment we’ve made for camping. No more arguing while setting up a million poles as the sun is going down by lamplight. Just pop and done. Saved my sanity on more than one occasion. Comfy and good seams all around. Would have been nice if it came with an over the shoulder strap on the storage bag, but if youre handy, a few stitches and an old nylon strap can make that happen 🙂

This tent can do more than a kids’ backyard summer camp out. Used in winter, -5 C, no wind. For just 1 person. Pitched on packed snow, with an messy mix of snow and sleet happening. The tent was covered in a thin layer of ice the next morning. Performed very well. No precipitation got in, and there was no condensation or dampness in the tent. I used a groundsheet and just the 2 integrated guy lines, no other stakeouts. Tent was solid. It has a bathtub floor btw which will help in soggy conditions. The only downside is the lack of any kind of entry protection. Snow fell in from the door every time it was opened. These are small tents so what comes in goes everywhere. Would be unmanageable with 2 people. Addition of an isolated and floored vestibule area would make this tent truly amazing.
