Very nice frying pan, nonstick, stainless steel
This 12-inch pan has been great. It’s big enough that I can finally cook enough stir-fry for the whole family without crowding everything and nothing stuck, even with all the sauce. The bottom heated so evenly, everything cooked at the same rate. Cleanup was a breeze, just a quick wash and rinse. It feels sturdy and the handle is comfortable to hold, even when the pan is full. The lid fits well. Definitely a good addition to the kitchen. It feels sturdy and well-made. Very happy with it so far!

I havent used another pan since i got this one
This 12-inch non-stick pan has quickly become my go-to for nearly every meal. From perfectly seared steaks to juicy, evenly cooked chicken, it delivers fantastic results every time. The non-stick surface is impressiveâmorning eggs glide right off, making cleanup effortless. It heats evenly, holds up beautifully, and feels like a kitchen essential Iâll be using for years.Beyond performance, the panâs durability has really stood out. Even after consistent use, the coating remains intact, with no warping or signs of wear. Itâs a dependable, well-made piece that makes cooking more enjoyable. If youâre looking for a reliable non-stick pan that actually lasts, this one is a winner.

Stout non-stick pan
This is not your average box store frying pan. The first thing I noticed is how heavy it is. The weight plays in to the heat retention of the pan. It heats slowly like a cast iron skillet, but also retains the heat well and cooks evenly, with no warpage. If you want to test a non-stick pan, fry some eggs in it without oil. This pan excelled at the egg test where cheaper non-stick pans I own have struggled. So far the non-stick has performed well and I have no reason to believe it will not last, as long as you are handwashing and not over heating the pan. The pan says it is dishwasher safe, but in my experience non-stick pans do not last when exposed to harsh dishwasher detergents. I was also able to obtain a good sear cooking in this non-stick pan, and being able to finish a dish in the oven is an excellent benefit. The only caveat being you can not use it with a broiler (most likely due to the non-stick). The glass lid fits well and like most glass tempered lids has a vent hole. The metal handle stays cool enough to manage during cooking and is comfortable to grip. I don’t know if this is indeed the Cooks Standard, but it is a pretty good value when compared to the more expensive and well known options, many of which don’t include a lid.

(Almost) an everyday pan: high heat not recommended for stovetop
Excellent quality pan MADE IN CHINA with a laundry list of manufacturer limitations and features I didn’t like including:”Do not use under a broiler”: This is standard practice for me with my normal pans and cramped my cooking style.”Stovetop cooking: High heat may damage the cookware; medium heat is recommended”: No searing meat or stir frying unless you want to risk damage to the pan.”oven-safe to 500 degrees F” but tempered glass lid is only safe to 350 degrees F: So, yes, you can make the absolutely awesome skillet pizza, but very few items that need to cook covered in the oven to retain moisture.”Do not use abrasive cleaning pads or scouring powder”: Standard for stainless, and this pan cleans up easily with soap and water”Add salt to the food only after it has started to boil or reached a very high heat”: I hate this feature of all stainless cookware — it’s beyond annoying.”Never use bleach/chlorine products on the cookware” No Ajax or comet. Is the chlorine in my city water supply too much? This pan is at the outside of my weight limit. When full of food, I needed two hands to lift it. The handle was long enough to accommodate that, but I dramatically prefer a loop handle opposite the long handle on a frying pan this size.Dishwasher safe but handwashing recommended to maintain appearanceEggs stick unless the pan is greased but pan still cleans up with just a swish. I normally cook on stick resistant anodized aluminum (Calphalon) or cast iron. I know how to cook eggs on pans that require preheating and seasoning. Scrambled eggs always left behind cooked on shreds. Properly cooked fried eggs released easily, but if a less experienced cook was using the pan, they stuck.Things I liked:Incredibly even heating. I did the standard kitchen test of heating a flour paste spread over the bottom of the pan and had no hot spots.Perfectly sized to cook any meal for 2-4. I used the pan almost exclusively for over a month. At nearly 3 quarts, I was able to cook a wide variety of foods: Chili, rice, soups, stews, fish, steam/sauteed vegetables, one pan pasta bakes where the dry pasta cooks in the sauce, frittatas, etc.The lid is a snug fit that holds in moisture, but has a vent to release steam. Excellent for steamed sunny side up eggs and food that needs to braise, simmer, or steam without losing moisture.I used a metal fish spatula with no scratching issuesWorked exceptionally well on my induction burner. Normally used with no issues on an electric glass top stove.Cleans effortlessly with warm, soapy water.TLDR: This pan did an exceptional job with everything from French toast to chili to poached fish. Some of the limitations were consistent with all stainless steel cookware, others factored in the non-stick coating. Cleanup was easy, even when something cooked on. Whether or not you want a pan that can be used on high heat to sear food or run under a broiler is a personal cooking decision. If you never cook food in a deep covered skillet in the oven, the 350 limit on the lid probably won’t bother you. When you get to this level of cookware, you have to choose what features are critical to your own cooking style. I wouldn’t recommend this for someone who has never used high quality cookware, but if you aware of the limitations (especially regarding heating and cooling off time), this pan was a joy to use.

My New Go-To Frying Pan.
I love this Cook’s frying pan. Use it every morning for bacon and eggs. Nothing sticks. It works perfectly on my induction stove top. It holds a lot, so I have also used it for stove top casseroles and it performs flawlessly. At this point, I don’t bother to put it away anymore because I use it daily. A seriously beefy, high quality, frying pan. 5 Stars.
