Cooler than expected
Loved the black out design and keeps things cooler than a standard tent

It says dark room so it means DARK ROOM
I got this tent so I could sleep in. With my tent before this one once the sun was up there was no sleeping in. And I’m more than satisfied with this tent. It’s spacious, dark, and is very very easy to set up. I truly 100% recommend this tent.

This has been great
I got the two room tent so this review is for that tent only.I really like this tent. It is so easy to set up, that in spite of its weight and size I can do the set up alone. It is easier and faster with two, but it can also be done quite easily alone. It is almost a pop up tent, all the poles are attached and when you pull out the tend you really don’t have to go around attaching much of anything. Once you have get your poles set on the sides all you really have to work at is getting the rainfly on. Really easy. The blackoutness is definitely black. We have kids so it is really nice to not wake with the sun when we are camping. It blocks the light entirely unless you have the windows open, and even then it still blocks a lot more light than a regular tent. The ceilings are high enough to stand up in the tent. My husband is over 6 feet and is able to stand up in the tent. There are also zip open sky lights on the top of the tent to help with ventilation. I use these on nights when I keep everything else closed to let me know when it is morning, and to help with moisture retention in the tent.It has more pockets than any other tent I’ve had. There are pockets along the side near the top, and along the inner wall. At least 18 by my count. Several of them will hold quite a bit of stuff, and the higher ones are great for putting your flashlight in while you are in the dark. This tent has so many features it deserved 5 stars, but there were a couple things a buyer should be aware of. In the case it is enormous and very heavy. It takes up a lot of room to transport because it doesn’t have the regular skinny lightweight poles that click into each other it has inch thick supports, and they are heavy! The other slightly annoying thing about it was the condensation inside the tent. It held water inside from your breath when all the windows were closed. I’ve used it three times for several days each time. The first two times we were in a more rainy and cold region and it had a lot of moisture inside even though it didn’t rain. We had everything closed because it was cold. Something about the black color made it much more able to hold water. Once we were up and moving around opened all the windows it dried out within an hour. There were no puddles on the floor, it was just on the inside walls.I have used tents for years, and so I know if you don’t get your rain fly pulled tight across the top of your tent and all your windows closed rain is going to get in. It takes practice to get a tent set up just right to keep the rain out. This is true for this tent as well. If there is any slack in the rainfly, water will get in. If you set it up right, rain will not get in. I think this accounts for some of the things other reviewers were saying about rain getting in. They probably didn’t get all the slack out of the rain fly.Over all this is the best tent I’ve ever owned, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Dark tents are awesome to sleep in, but please read before purchasing.
First off, it’s a heck of an option to avoid the suns early morning light piercing through a normal tent waking you up early. The tent is big and has plenty of space, it comes with a room divider already installed. We experienced rain the first night out with it, and i did notice a very small amount of moisture making it through the rain fly, but closing the roof panels helped with that. The other real issue i have is that there are a few small pin holes in the side of the tent. I don’t know if they will cause damage down the road, but now i’m sort of stuck with this thing. For the price i wouldn’t expect holes in it right out of the box. Returning it will be a nightmare since it’s pretty good size and does not ever fit back into it’s original shipping box.

Dark Inside But Otherwise Not Worth The Price
This tent is not worth $250. In my opinion, the primary functions of a tent are to stay dry inside & stay anchored. Out of the box, this tent fails on both fronts and is therefore not worth the price.I set it up in my back yard on top of a tarp for a week (there was no rain for the first few days). First of all, the tent LEAKS in EVERY corner on every side, but mostly near the doorway, where there was a large pool of water after each rainfall (see pics). The windows seem to be the source of the side leaks, not sure what is happening on the door side. I didn’t coat it with waterproof spray because I wanted to see how it performed out of the box. Maybe the zippers are the weak spots? As with pretty much all instant tents, the included stakes are useless. I used heavy duty 8 inch steel stakes that will keep the tent anchored. I also have 10″ stakes that I can use in windy conditions.Next, a cabin tent should be taller. This is only 6ft tall. Every other cabin tent I have owned has been at least 78″. I am 5’9 and well over 50 years old. I want to be able to stand upright throughout my tent.I’m not sure if I did something wrong but the overhanging ledge at the front sits at an odd angle (see pics). The pics on Amazon are never shown from the side so I can’t tell if that’s the right orientation. If I’m doing it wrong, someone please put that in your review!I bought this tent primarily for the darkness feature. I love that it’s very dark inside (I’m not a “morning person”) and in spite of more than a few tiny pin holes in the seams, it’s dark enough to satisfy me. I know that dark coating tends to deteriorate over time so we will see how long this lasts.I decided to keep the tent in spite of the leaks. I have since sprayed it with waterproof coating and although there are still leaks (I’m leaning towards the zippers), they’re not as bad. I’m keeping it because it’s dark inside and that’s not so easy to find.
