Perfect everyday pan. The handles are hefty and sturdy, the bottom is weighted and balanced nicely to sit very still while lightly stirring with one hand on a glass top or induction surface. This pan heats evenly and quickly and holds temperature surprisingly well when large cuts of cold meat or food enter the pan. This makes short work of sauteeing, simmering, braising, and just about anything other regular household cooking duties you can throw at it. Being dishwasher safe makes it even better, once the visible food particles have been sprayed or cleaned off this thing can just be popped right in the dishwasher to save tedious scrubbing that nobody wants to do after a meal. Comes out of a regular dishwasher cycle looking brand new.The only downside, and this isn’t even really a huge deal but is just worth mentioning in case someone has delicate or sensitive skin on their hands, is the fact that the very outer lip edge of the pan appears to be slightly squared/angled instead of polished or ground to a smooth edge. The very edge of the lip is noticeably sharp to the touch, not enough to actually cut skin but it is uncomfortable to run your bare hand or finger over the lip of the pan while cleaning. Good thing the handles on this are top notch and minimize the amount of times you will ever realistically need to touch the edge of the pan itself. Minor detail, but it feels a little unfinished on the edge compared with how smooth and nice the texture of the handles, exterior, and interior of the actual pan are.Overall for the price point this is a no-brainer to pick up for a great all-purpose pan. Cuisinart has put out some great reasonably priced kitchen gear over the years and did a great job with this one too.

A swell little pan that will give YEARS of use!!!!
This is a GREAT pan!!! The lid fits well, and its glass-so you can keep an eye on what you are cooking, the bottom hearts evenly and quickly, and if you follow the ‘hot pan, cold oil’ rule, you should have a nice surface that doesn’t stick AND cleans up well. While I have ALWAYS used and loved the natural non-stick qualities of the large cast iron fry pans used to cook family meals, I wanted something that could go thru the dishwasher, wasn’t hard on my wrists, and was big enough to cook a whole casserole. This pan TOTALLY fits the bill.I also love that it can go from stove top to oven, and that the handles aren’t long, wieldy and clumsy. They do get hot if you are cooking for a long period, like a rice or one-pot pasta meal, however they are designed well, and nicely accommodate pot mitts. This pan is also very pretty, shiny inside and out, pretty enough to display on open shelving.I just want to say that think’s it’s unfair to compare this modestly priced item to pans that go for 15 times as much, and then give this pan an unfair rating. I have read a lot of reviews for pans around this price, and have found a few people saying that they prefer their $350.00 french chef pan they picked up while on holidayâ¦.apples to oranges. All in all, this is swell little pan that is appropriately priced..I know I am going to get YEARS of use from this pan. The shape of this pan makes it perfect for Chicken pot pie, One-pot pasta, Shepherds pie, baked fish and chicken, enchiladas, breakfast casserole, stir fry, biscuits, and much more.

Nice skillet at a great price
I bought this skillet to replace a non-stick skillet that was starting to wear. I am trying to replace all my non-stick with stainless for several reasons but mainly because stainless just lasts so long. I have another Cuisinart pot that is from the 80’s, which I use several times a week, wash in the dishwasher and it is still in great condition. This pot is just the right size for most the meals I cook for my family of four. I love that it has a glass lid and that is can go in the dishwasher. I also like how it doesn’t have a longer handle so it doesn’t take up as much space in my cabinet. The handles do get warm, but I’m used to using pot holders with my other pots so it’s not an issue for me. It cleans up pretty well although I do notice if I soak it for a little bit before going into the dishwasher, it does help. For the price it’s selling at, I think this is a great deal and I hope to use it for years to come.

Exquisite!
Sturdy and well-built, great all-purpose size, affordable and aesthetically pleasing, I highly recommend this pan. Light and attractive enough to use as a serving dish (even if your meal was cooked in another vessel), and versatile on the stove top and in the oven. Regarding some concerns expressed elsewhere: No, it is not induction capable – – but I cook on gas anyway and those of you with induction can still use the pan in the oven or even as an attractive serving dish. Yes, you have to wash it and food will stick – – that’s a characteristic of ALL stainless steel cookware, after all. But a little “de-glazing” on the stove top with a little water and a wooden spatula followed by a finish in the dishwasher should address those concerns.

My New Go-To Pan
I have actually raved about this pan to my husband…I don’t normally care to discuss pots and pans but this one has me that happy. I use this pan to make just about everything! It’s the perfect size for curries, stir-fries, vegetables and more. I prefer this over my sauce pans because the wide base allows me to cook large (and smaller) quantities of food faster and more evenly. I have also fried a few things in here and the pan can handle it all beautifully. I love that it’s oven-safe because when I’m done cooking, I can pop it right into the oven to keep my dishes warm until serving time. I highly recommend this pan and intend to purchase a few more as gifts. (I do not recommend this pan if you are cooking single servings of food.)

Difficult to clean
I did a low heat bacon rendering, removed the bacon, added some canola oil and pan fried some pork chops. Took over fifteen minutes to clean the sides of the pan. It’s going back. This pan is also very lightweight. Disappointed.

Seems like excellent quality. The handles are large enough to allow for oven mitts when using in the oven.
