Perfect prep bowl. I have small size for tsp and Tbsp ingredients, medium size for one cup or less and these large bowls are fantastic for preparing and mixing.

I love the Duralex bowls overall for durability, and easy to handle and clean shape. Wished I had bought this size 10 years ago, it is even more versatile that the smaller size, especially for microwaving leftovers. Bought some silicone soft lids to fit for easy frig stacking.

Duralex mixing bowls are built to last. Very tough. There are a lot of cheap imitators out there; I have purchased them in the past and almost all of them have shattered without much provocation. Broken glass in the kitchen is a bad idea. Youâll pay more for Duralex but just like your well-seasoned cast iron pans, youâll be passing these bowls on to future generations. If you see bowls like these in a department store, make sure they have âDuralex Made in Franceâ stamped in the bottom. DW safe, excellent shape for efficient mixing, space saving stackability and very durable, as emphasized.

Why is one bowl $43? I thought this was a set of six. Other sizes are sets of six and they are similar prices to this one bowl.

I use these wonderful mixing bowls so much, however, one of my favorite things is the first rise on my sourdough bread dough. Pictured is my grandson punching down the dough before reshaping the dough and placing it the loaf pan for the second rise. Great multipurpose bowl
I love these Duralex bowls. I found one somewhere in the past, and liked its’ weight and durability so much I bought more when I needed to add to my prep bowl inventory. I bought this size and the one that’s around 3″ in diameter. They’re great for keeping ingredients sorted and organized when cooking multiple meals at once, and I really prefer clear bowls for this function over obtuse ones. These do great in the dishwasher. They’re also great for stacking and storing as the small ones fit inside the larger ones. The rim around the edge makes them easy to grab and hold.These are a good size for breakfast bowls. I’ve used the smaller ones over the years for cold deserts like puddings and gelatins. Place a layer of sliced fresh fruit around the bottom before spooning in the main desert for an awesome, simple presentation.I should mention the seller did a great job protecting these during packaging. They came with a sturdy cardboard ring in the bottom of each bowl and were amply wrapped in bubble wrap. I ordered 12 bowls altogether. All arrived in perfect condition.

I thought $45 for one bowl was expensive and the description clearly says number of items is 1. But a set of 6 showed up. Just wanted folks to know since $45 for 6 isn’t such a bad deal.
