These plates are pretty heavy, which is a good and bad thing. Good because they are sturdy, but bad as it has caused scratches on my dining room table and placemats. They are great plates, just remember not to drag them across your table. Pick them up all the way if you want to move them.

I am so pleased with these plates. My previous sets of plates chipped easily due to the dishwasher (and the boys loading/unloading them). I have been using these for almost two months and not a chip! We ordered this and the bowls and we love the color and size. They have a lip on the edge so things are less likely to slide off. They are thick and heavy which we love because we enjoy having something in our hands that doesn’t feel like if you can break it with pressure
