Heavy Duty, works in Instapot
Bought this bowl to use in a instapot. The recipe for perfect brown rice required two cups of water, the instapot rack and then placing a 8inch glass bowl on top of the rack then sealing it in to pressure cook for 22 minutes. The description said it could withstand heat and nowadays you just never know. So, I tried it. Figure if I hear something crack I would shut off the instapot…but lo and behold after 22 minutes open the instapot, took out the bowl and the rice was perfect. Didn’t stick to the bowl either. No damage to the bowl. Have done it a second time, no issues either. So, for my purposes it works great.

Thick. Microwave safe. Easy to use and clean (no ridges at all).
Nice. Not Pyrex but seemingly close. They passed my microwave test. Unlike Pyrex they do capture a fair bit of heat (so picking them up may require gloves). They also have NO ridges / lips. That’s both a plus and a minus. They’re shaped to be easy enough to pick up but they do give you a “careful not to drop it” feeling. I haven’t dropped any. Just entered my mind.Very nice.

just what I was looking for to serve a meal in a bowl. It’s large, but not too large. good thickness of the glass that will keep the food hot for a while. I’m very happy with these bowls.
