Absolutely a hit. Obviously gorgeous.
My covers arrived in a protective suitcase-like bag, similar to one used for a fine purse. I was thrilled by the presentation and the sturdy materials used in their construction.I’m not sure about the faux leather described by the designer. After adding some detailing product for general maintenance, I personally can’t tell the difference. We have so many vehicles, and when we take this particular buggy out, there’s always a lively debate about whether we’re sitting on real leather.The craftsmen have done an excellent job on the covers. The sewing strength, fit patterns, elevations, stuffing, and sticky bottoms are all superb. The fit looks factory-new. However, if the covers had a skirt around the bottom to attach to the seat frame, the seats would be fully restored. Interestingly, the rear of the seat does have a skirt attached to the frame. I’ve restored many seats from the frame up in planes, vehicles, and furniture. They’ve hit the nail on the head; after putting these on a full restoration wouldn’t be productive.I sensed an obvious value and saved so much time by installing my new seat covers.You could put the kit together in about 30 minutes, but the quality deserved a bit more time. I was exhausted after installing radiators, cooling fans, sensors, condensers, and cooling hoses in a couple of other buggies, so the installation took a bit longer. Not to mention, I just had to polish them. After polishing, I ended up with a rich, soft, slightly shiny surface that made the material look more vintage and worn in. Hopefully, this polishing effort will be beneficial for my covers.As for durability and cleanup, a few spots made it to the material from the little one climbing through the car, and the older ones, of course, have holes in their chins while drinking. These minor mishaps were super easy to wipe off and disappear. So, some mishaps involve licking your finger, wiping a spot, wiping it on your finger, and then wiping it on your pants—repeat. But for the most part, microfiber works well and moves across the material easily after a polishing.The installation was interesting because this buggy is an old interceptor from a police department’s detective division. The rear seat does some non-factory folds, and some seat pieces can be removed. The buggy is low mileage, and there are cage impressions on the back of the front seats, which are now hidden by my new covers. Surprisingly, everything was just perfect, even though the vehicle is a bit different. The original seats are nearly 100 percent covered. I even had a detective from my part of the world do a double take at the coffee shop and check out my new interior.The buggy has a lot of horsepower and seat covers that stick. It’s the perfect sporty but casual match. It was a long and memorable day of working on my rides, and every time I glance over at this particular buggy, I feel like real improvements have been made.The manufacturer really knows what they are doing here. Way to go! Where do I invest? Absolutely unbelievable. I would love to see the processes they use and watch their team in action. I’m thinking maybe a LiDAR 3D scan, some CNC cutting, and you gave me a laser-fit, elegantly rich, sporty, and comfortable product. Five stars all the way!
