Excellent 4-seaon tent
This is probably the best quality affordable 4 season backpacking tent out there. And what I mean by that is you can live in this tent for about 4 seasons before it wears out. I would know because I’ve done it twice now.I originally purchased this tent two years ago because I had been camping in Utah for several months and it was getting colder and I wasn’t confident my other tent would hold up in the winter. I looked at a lot of tents online and the thing that caught my eye about this one was the skirt around the foot of the tent. I had previously camped in Idaho winter weather in a similar tent that I think cost around $300, and it was a great tent except that the wind would occasionally blow snow up underneath the rain fly. When I saw the skirt on this tent I figured who ever designed it probably actually knew a thing or two about camping in the winter (and the price was unbeatable) so I went ahead and purchased it. And then I slept in it for the whole winter. And then spring, and then summer, and then fall. By that point the zippers had started to wear out and the rain fly had been weakened by UV light from being outside all summer and fall. And so I purchased two more of them. I gave one away and a little over a year later, I’m sitting in the second one in November in Idaho writing up this review.Who ever designed this tent knew what they were doing. Simple, elegant, durable, versatile, and light weight are all words that describe it. The inner tent has a waterproofed nylon floor to keep out moisture from the ground and the right amount of mesh on top to provide ventilation to minimize condensation and keep mosquitoes and insects out. The outer layer is also made from thoughly waterproofed nylon such that no water can get in from the outside. The seams are properly seam taped. The skirt prevents wind from blowing snow or rain in. And even the vents can be closed if you’re in an extreme blizzard. The only moisture that you deal with in this tent when it is set up properly is condensation. There is really no way I know of to avoid having some level of condensation in a small tent in the winter (except possibly holding your breath all night) but the elegance of this design is that almost all the condensation condenses on the outer layer of the tent and runs down into the dirt. That way everything in the inner tent stays dry. On really really cold nights I have noticed a little bit of frost in the inner tent, and sometimes in the mornings when the sun is melting the frost at the peak of the rain fly a little bit will drip down through the mesh rather than run down the side into the dirt. But overall, it really does stay almost bone dry all through the winter.I’ve slept in this tent during strong wind, torrential rain, 3 to 5 inches of snow, and single digit temperatures. It handles it all just fine. I think it could handle significantly heavier snow but 3 to 5 inches is the most I’ve had in one night before (I checked it with a tape measure). If you are expecting realy heavy snow, I recommend using the ties on the inside of the rain fly that tie around the poles because this will stabilize the poles to be able to hold significantly more weight without buckling. One review said they got 2 feet of snow in one night. I’m guessing that was a bit of an exaggeration, but I would say that this tent is easily strong enough to hold 10 to 12 inches of snow without collapsing.*Update, It’s January now and I’ve moved to northern Idaho about 8 miles from the Canadian border. It hit -18 degrees Farenheit the other night and I’m still sleeping in the tent every night.

Fast set up. Great heat retention.
I must say, moving from a 5 person C@lemon to a 2 person tent was both exciting and scary. I have a lot of back and body pain so I needed something easier to setup. After months of reviewing tents, I believe I found it.Set-up is very simple, less than 5 minutes. I love the mini vegetable options for warmer weather. However, the first night I used the temperatures dip down to 30°. I was very warm on the inside with my weather appropriate sleeping bag. The rain fly did its job, collecting the condensation away from the actual tent. The detachable overhead not does have some sewing errors in it, which to me is in a big deal. There are some pouches on the front and back side of the tent for flashlights, car keys and such. The zipper seem to work really well, which is one thing I was very afraid of. I did not want to be stuck with a tent with bad zippers. They seem to Glide with ease. I am in different to the stakes. They were, for now. It was pretty windy, wind gust up to 20 mph during this trip. The extra material at the base of the tent, I did place logs on so it wasn’t flapping, it did help the tent become more still.I am five for and had plenty of room for my gear, and any extra stuff that I needed inside of the tent. It does have the two doors so if two people were in, they would each have an exit door. I think it would be a tight fit for someone over 6 ft, unless they slept at an angle!?The rain fly dueling as a vegetable is nice and I did use it for shoe storage however I would not rely on this to keep my shoes completely dry or debris free.Overall.. the tent is lightweight. It is easy to get back in the bag that it comes in. It packs light. I had plenty of space. It was easy to set up. The value for my money I feel is average. The zipper works well. I’m pleased with the little storage compartments and both doors. I love the color! LOL. I would recommend!

Nice, Solid tent
Purchased this tent to replace another. My sonâs scout friend recommended this 4-season tent. He took it to a stormy event and it did well. Easy to set up. About half the troop have this tent and everyone says how lightweight it is; however, it seems bulky for me to take as a backpacking tent. Great for simple camping. I believe they squeezed 4 kids in the tent as one of their tents failed during the storm.

Tenda robusta e ben fatta.

This tent is a gem. Already had a more expensive 2 person tent but needed another one for our family of four for a backcountry camping trip. I was skeptical because of the price but figured I’d just give it away after if it was crap. It turned out to be the best bang for a buck. Easy set up and take doen. Has a great fly. It rained heavily on our trip on the first night but we were able to keep our shoes dry. Great ventilation, there wasn’t a lot of condensation since there is an option of having both sides of your tent vent out underneath the fly. Has a gear loft which is great for storing your head lamps. Lots of head space if you need to sit up or change inside. The seams looked well constructed. It actually reminded me of our bigger family tent (big Agnes sleep station) in the layout and construction. All in all at that price for sure would buy again. Going to use it a few more times into the colder season to see how well it holds up but so far so good. Super impressed.
