Great Size and Sun Protection, Setup Needs Practice
This extra-large beach tent definitely delivers on space! We used it for a family beach day with 6 adults and 2 kids, and there was ample room for everyone’s chairs, bags, and a cooler, with space left over for the kids to play in the shade. The 150+ sq ft coverage claim feels accurate, and it provided a fantastic escape from the sun.Pros:Huge Coverage: Easily fits a large group, making it perfect for families or gatherings.UPF 50+ Protection: The sun protection was excellent. You could feel the difference in temperature inside the shelter, and we felt confident letting the kids play under it without worrying about sunburn.Gull-Wing Design: This design is quite clever. It allows for good airflow, preventing it from getting too stuffy inside, which can be an issue with other enclosed tents. It also offers multiple setup configurations depending on the wind and sun direction.Visibility: The open nature of the gull-wing design means you still have great views of the beach and ocean.Cons:Setup: While advertised as “Easy Setup,” it took us a good 15-20 minutes the first time, mostly figuring out how to properly anchor it in the sand, especially with a slight breeze. It definitely requires two people and some practice to get efficient. Filling the sandbags takes time and effort.Wind Performance: On a moderately windy day, it held up okay once properly anchored, but the large surface area does catch the wind. I’d be hesitant to use it in very strong winds without significant anchoring effort.Bulk: Given its size, it’s understandably a bit bulky and heavy to carry, even in its bag.Overall:This is a fantastic option if you need serious shade coverage for a larger group at the beach. The space and sun protection are top-notch, and the airflow is good. Just be prepared to spend a little time learning the optimal setup, especially for anchoring it securely, and factor in the carrying weight. For big beach gatherings, it’s a great asset.

This beach shelter pretty nice. It’s as easy to assemble as the competitors and is spacious underneath the top. Will use all summer long and hopefully for many more to come

Good Size
This beach shade tent is well made.It’s big enough for us.It can shelter our family nicely.It’s easy to setup.It allows air and wind freely coming through.I may come back to add more comments and stars later on after I see how long and sturdy surviving our beach trips.

Good quality, perfect size
We take this shelter to the beach whenever the family comes. It covers a large space when we need it as at least 6 large adults fit nicely. The kids even have space in the shade when they’re not busy playing in the sand! The material is hefty enough to hold up in strong winds, but make sure it is anchored down to insure that the tent is not flapping around too much, which can cause extra wear. The included sandbags are fantastic even though it takes extra time to fill them. That shelter is not going anywhere using the sandbags and other anchors that are included as well. It’s also nice that a storage bag is included, making it easy to fit altogether in our beach wagon with all our other supplies. We typically have not used a shelter at the beach when it is just the two of us, but found this one so handy, we take it every time we go! It is fairly easy to set up but under windy circumstances, it does take both of us to get it opened properly.

I really really like this cool giant shade cover.The kids already love it too, as before I was finishing setting it up they couldn’t wait to get their little chairs, blankets and towels under it.The overall setup is extremely easy. As easy as propping up a tent.The tent material is excellent as it does a good job blocking out the sun. We also tested the tent fabric by spraying water over top of it. The water beaded and dipped off easily without soaking in.When totally set up this entire cover takes up a lot of space because it spans 7 meters wide.With its wide open concept, there was no risk of it blowing over during some approx 20+ km wind gusts. Plus the 4 spanned out wings are of a mesh material so wind just flows right through.One advice I would like to share is that this shade canopy is basically an elevated two sided tent.It’s best to be mindful of which direction the sun is and set up your ground plot where one of the sloping sides of the canopy is facing the sun for maximum shade.After I set mine up, I realized the canopy opening (best walk through) was facing the sun and the shade was not as plentiful so I have to take it down and set it up again.After doing that it was perfectOn a side note, this would also work for camping, though would need to have a large cleared area.The peak top of the canopy is tall enough where a picnic table would fit right under it.

This beach canopy is a great idea and perfect for those super hot summer days. It provides a ton of shade for multiple people. It wasn’t difficult to set up and it’s sturdy. It doesn’t feel cheap, it’s clearly a quality product. The shade fabric is feels strong and blocks out sunlight well. It’s not suitable for long-term use (it would definitely blow away in a storm or on a very windy day) but it’s perfect for day trips to the beach. I’d recommend it.

The INSTANTENT Beach Tent Canopy provides a shaded place under the sun. The shade is fairly easy to set up as it is just popped up with the poles. You do need a good place to tie it down to since the spikes don’t always hold well in sand.
