It took me around 2.5 hours to complete, including steering wheel removal.Itâs easy, but a bit awkward trying to keep it tight while maneuvering the needle. The video is very descriptive but it left me with one important question, how long of a thread should I start with? Here is what I didâ¦If you want the same pattern as the video (loop 1, skip 1).INITIAL THREAD LENGHT = around 20 inches long for small areas (bottom of steering wheel) and 60 inches for top of steering wheel. This will not be too much to get in you way at the beginning and will be enough at the end to tie a knot easily. Overall, I am very pleased with results.

High quality, poor install instructions
Pretty solid cover that fit my e46 330ci coupe well. For an aftermarket cover, seems pretty decent quality so far.I will say the video online that attempts to walk you through installation is terrible. This is as a result is not an easy install. I wound up searching many videos online, none of which exactly fit this. Still, I got through it.I did not use the tape. The only place I wish I might have is on the 3pm and 9pm pillars -behind- the wheel. This right now fits a slight bit loose there but snug everywhere else. I might try to tweezer something in on that spot but might just see if it form fits there over time.Attached a photo of my install. Recommended with a star docked for the install instructions/video.

Awesome upgrade – looks great!
Cover is made of quality materials and feels really good in the hands. Install wasnât too bad – I did take the wheel off to make it easier. The YouTube video helped, but did need to redo the first section as I got better at it after the other sections. I wished I used the tape behind the 3 & 9 oâclock spokes as itâs a little loose in the back but no big deal. I did use it on the bottom spoke. Really steps up the interior of my 2006 along with a new shift boot.

cheap and not soft. just spend the money on the $50 suede option. its going to take hours to install dont try to save $20 just to end up with a plastic feeling fake leather wheel. spend the extra $20 on the suede version. I install the suede on my wheel and I am very impressed.

Feels great, excellent quality. I ended up returning the item because the purist in my couldnât stop staring at the M colors on top. I drive a 323ci. I also realized this was made for M steering wheels, hence the weirdly stitched 9 and 3 I clock handles. Awesome purchase but I ended up returning due to personal preference.
