Great travel high chair
This little thing has saved us so many times. We bought it for travel, but so many restaurants frequently don’t have high chairs or the ones they have are broken so we’ve gotten used to just throwing it in the car when we go out. Sucks that you can only spot clean it (ours looks nasty), but oh well. It fits easily in a large suitcase. We have yet to find a chair that we can’t attach it to. My daughter has been using it from 17 months to over 2 years.

Tried 3 different portable boosters – this is our favorite! (FYI – current blue version does NOT have the flip out feet)
I was looking for a portable booster to take with us to restaurants so we can sit in booths and avoid the sometimes DISGUSTING restaurant high chairs. Our boys still need to be restrained in some way, so they’re not ready for a plain strapless booster yet. I tried three different portable boosters – this one, the Summer Infant pop & go and The First Years’ on-the-go booster. All are nice and compact, and this is actually the largest of the three. But, it was my favorite for a few different reasons. The base is plastic which makes it nice and sturdy (this is a contrast to the The First Years seat, which is inflatable and a little wobbly from side to side under pressure). The waist strap sits at the actual waist, rather than at the base of the hips (like the Summer Infant). I also like the added storage inside. It helps to balance out the overall size of the item, since you can tuck in a bib, folding plate, silverware and wipes… which we would most likely need / want to carry anyway. If it means I can carry one less bag with me, I’ll take the slightly bulkier item! Finally, I liked that this booster has little grippy pads on the base of the unit. The unit I received (the blue model shown in August 2018) does NOT have the four flip-out feet that are pictured in some of the other reviews. Just FYI. Anyway, since we’re looking to use this in booths at restaurants, it will help me to feel more secure than The First Years booster, which does not have any grippy pads. The Summer Infant chair is OK, but seemed much less secure than either of these other models for what we wanted to sue it for.The straps are nice and sturdy, which is nice. I tested all chairs out on our fabric dining room chairs, which are pretty wide. The straps on this chair are slightly shorter than the ones on The First Years booster, but still plenty long enough to fit around our chairs securely. The clips that fasten the straps around the child’s waist in this chair are fully exposed. This could be a pro or a con, depending what you’re looking for (and whether or not you have a little Houdini on your hands). They’re very easy to access when you’re ready to strap in or ready to leave. The clasps on The First Years booster are tucked inside a little fabric sleeve, so you have to dig for them. It’s not difficult… just not quite as “get up and go” as with this one.One other thing to note… I didn’t think there was a strap that would wrap around the bottom of the chair. After looking at the pictures, it seems that you can extend the shoulder strap and wrap that around the chair. The straps are sewn to lay flat when used as a shoulder strap, so it isn’t obvious that this would be what should be used to wrap around the bottom of a chair. Just in case someone else has the same question I did!

Watch out for the Buckles. Wrong one snapped together could be disaster
I really like this booster seat for my 2.5 yr old. However (as another person stated earlier) the buckles are not all the same size (even though they look like it). If you snap the buckle that goes around the chair to the buckle that goes around the hips of the child, you will be in trouble. It is nearly -almost impossible to separate the straps at that point. My husband is strong, and he couldn’t even separate these. I had to take a knife to the straps (after child was removed from seat) and try to pry the buckles apart. I ended up breaking a portion of the buckle; however, it’s still usable thank goodness. * I knew this problem before buying it (reading anther users review) and yet in the rush of things at a restaurant booth seat, I made the mistake of clipping one side together that didn’t belong. It was difficult to get my daughter out of the seat after that and trying to pry the buckles apart at the time felt impossible. This is a great seat and portable but do yourself a favor and do something/anything to mark the back belts from the front so that (in a rush) you don’t make the same mistake.

My new favorite kid item!
Purchased this portable booster during the pandemic to use if we visited an outdoor restaurant.I choose this particular booster because:(1) it has an integrated bag on the lower portion of the booster. We use this area to store my son’s Epi Pen (emergency allergy medicine) and some toys and coloring books to entertain him while dining. Best decision to buy this product just on the integrated bag alone! Also fits a diaper and small wipe pack.(2) I liked that it was foldable and could carry like a bag. The strap is adjustable and extremely easy to carry.(3) It is light weight, yet holds my 2-year-olds weight.(4) Material: beautiful blue, pleasing to eye, nice poly material that is easy to clean and wipe, and will hold up to being portable (thrown around).(5) Easy to clean! Oh, I said that already :)The workmanship is fantastic. I was actually surprised at how well it is made. It has a couple buttons where you hold in the back of the booster which encases the straps. The straps are accessible and easy to take out when wrapping around a chair and tying your child in.CONS: the only con is that I do wish the sides of the booster where the child sits was thicker/sturdier or that it had an additional strap around the chest (like a grocery cart strap that sits higher). This is not a deal breaker AT ALL since you are suppose to be supervising your kids in a booster at all times anyways.OVERALL: a worthwhile purchase! I already purchased a 2nd one to gift for Christmas. LOVE, LOVE this booster. I really like that it is light weight, has the bag area, and is easy to clean.

This little seat was great on vacation with our 23 month old! I bought a few different seats before leaving and settled on this one for a few reasons :1) sturdy, square base that fits in any chair no matter how wide or narrow2) no cumbersome table to tote around, just seat your child at the table with you3) really easy to clean, just pop it in the washer after it gets messed up4) storage underneath for all the plates and cutlery neededCons:- not great for a child who can’t sit up strongly on their own- the belt attaches around the upper thighs, which isn’t the most secure- the elevated seating means your child’s chair has a higher center of gravity… Our girl was able to get her legs between the chair and the table and almost tipped herself backward. Make sure you really tuck them under the table edgeOverall, I’m really happy with it. Glad I bought it and it was great on vacation!

Sturdy and secure, this keeps my nearly two year old safely in place. I feared that her wriggling would end end up toppling the chair but it was fine. The storage area is genius. I’ve squeezed in a nappy, wipes, bib and cutlery so if we stop for lunch as part of a journey, it’s all we have to take in with us.
