Customers say
Customers find the bowls versatile for cooking purposes, with one mentioning they’re great for taking food to gatherings, and appreciate their storage capacity, particularly for lunch containers. However, the size receives mixed feedback, with some finding them perfect while others say they’re too small. Moreover, customers report issues with brittleness, with multiple bowls breaking, and the lids being useless. Additionally, the glass thickness is criticized as thin, and the seal is problematic as the covers don’t seal properly.

Great.
Love these bowls. Looked for a long time before I found these.

Not only lovely to look at but very user friendly.
I like the look and quality of this set. I use them for leftovers and I have no qualms about letting my family take some “leftovers” home because there is no chance they can destroy them unless, perhaps, they were to toss one out a second floor window onto the cement below in a fit of rage.

The lids are useless.
The reason I got these instead of a cheaper version without lids is because… well.. the lids. I wanted to be able to cover and store my salads. These lids are absolutely useless. They have three little tabs that are deeper than half a centimeter, but the rest are half a centimeter deep. On top of that, the way the tabs are structured, they leave a little gap between the lid and the bowls.I made cereal and put it in one, put the lid on as tight as it would go, and then cereal came out the side when I picked it up.The gap is that big. Cereal can come out; much less anything like Salad Dressing or any liquids. If you just want small bowls (they are small) and don’t care about the lids; then by all means get these. But if you are hoping to cover your foods, get a different bowl.

Addition to Prep Bowl Collection
Eventhough I love these and the fact they nest, these ARE NOT large enough to be considered mixing bowls for usual kitchen work. As another reviewer mentioned look at the capacities. I would not consider using these with a hand mixer and only one with an immersion mixer CAREFULLY! I love the covers, too 🙂 These are also microwaveable.OK it getting all autumn-y here and I’m in the nesting mood, taking inventory of my kitchen and changing it up a bit BEFORE the holiday crunch time. The bargain price and AMAZON Free Shipping made this a great buy.UPDATE: Made in China, an attempted knock-off of France’s Duralex Bowls “DURABLE HEST REAISTANT” … too funny and still a welcome addition to the French bowls already in my cabinet. I have found the covers are not airtight! You still need a cling wrap or aluminum foil to cover the bowls before storing leftovers 🙁

A sweet suprise
I was ordering these for my mom she needed mixing bowls, big and deep. They were listed correctly, I just misunderstood the size. I received them and realized they weren’t what I needed. I contacted amazon and they just said hey here is your money back and keep the bowls! Super awesome. They needed up be great for lunch containers especially the smallest one great for sauce or small snacks.

covers are delicate and the glass is thin
I like to send my daughter’s school lunch in glass bowls because I don’t like the thought of microwaving plastic. The sizes of the bowls are great, but the lids are made of a very brittle plastic and one has already begun to break. They also don’t offer a very good seal, so anything at all liquidy will spill. Also, the glass seems very thin. I haven’t broken a bowl yet, but I expect to soon!

Poor quality control and lids that don’t fit or stay on.
I wound up returning these because they were so poorly made. There were flaws in the glass and the lids don’t stay on. I would have kept the bowls and tossed the lids which didn’t fit well or stay on, but there was a chip in one of the bowls and a hairline crack in one of the others. If you don’t care about the lids the bowls would make good prep bowls, but I can’t see them lasting too long.
