Excellent Quality â My Go-To Pans!
âve been using the OXO Mira Tri-Ply Stainless Steel Frying Pan Set (8″ and 10″) for a while now now, and Iâm honestly blown away by the quality and performance. These pans are the perfect combination of professional-grade construction and home-cook usability. The tri-ply design really delivers when it comes to heat distribution. Both pans heat evenly and quickly, with no hot spots, which has made cooking everything from eggs to seared chicken much more consistent. Iâve noticed that I donât have to crank the heat up as high as I did with my old pans â they retain and distribute heat so well.Theyâre also surprisingly easy to clean for stainless steel. As long as you preheat and use a little oil, food releases nicely. And even if something does stick a bit, it comes off easily with a soak and a gentle scrub. No warping, no discoloration, and they still look like new after multiple uses and washes. The build quality is top-notch â solid and sturdy without being too heavy. The handles stay cool enough to grab during stovetop cooking and feel very secure and comfortable in hand. They also look fantastic â sleek, professional, and stylish enough to leave out on a hanging rack.OXO really nailed it with this set. These have quickly become my daily go-to pans, and I honestly look forward to using them. Highly recommended if you want great stainless steel cookware that performs like high-end brands without the crazy price tag.I bought the pots too!

tri-ply stainless cookware
So far, if I could rate these 10 stars I would. This set is amazing. I purchased them because honestly, I am tired of buying non-stick cookware – it lasts a year or so and then I am buying another. Off gassing/ or worse..? Who knows. I decided that I would give up a little ease in cleaning for a healthier, more sturdy cookware. I am thinking this may be the last set I will ever buy. I read up and watched a few helpful videos on what to do, how to cook with stainless, how to clean, etc. It is a DIFFERENT way all around to use stainless. I highly recommend that you educate yourself while you’re waiting for your set to arrive. I have not had a single thing stick to my pots/pans – but I follow the “rules” of stainless use carefully. One of the most important things to do is to heat your stainless BEFORE adding oil. Make certain your pan is heated to the right temp – if you spritz a few drops of water and it rolls around – you’re ready. This set is heavy, sturdy. But not too heavy – I will note that if you’re sensitive to weight – you may find this set too heavy. I love the glass lids. Easy to see and they go in the dishwasher easily. I do not recommend dish washering pans – its not hard to hand clean them. There are also tutorials on doing that too – very useful. I couldn’t be happier with my investment in buying these pans. They are wonderful to cook with – the rolled edges allowing pouring of liquids without drips – every time. I truly can’t think of a single thing that is not good about them. I would be thrilled if this was the last set of cookware I ever had to buy. I looked at way more expensive sets, and cheaper sets – I settled on this one for personal choice reasons – one being the glass lids. Having said all of that, I never hesitate to update my reviews if new info would be useful.

Handles can get hot
Though I followed manual directions, stains aren’t that easy to remove. They are solid. Top handle can get hot. The non-stick works fine. There was no lid in the set to match the non-stick pan.

and every time I found another set that I would like, it would have really negative reviews or things …
I want to start off by saying that I was not paid for this review, and I shelled out my hard earned cash to buy this stainless steel set. I did a lot of research and comparing before deciding on this set, and every time I found another set that I would like, it would have really negative reviews or things about it I did not like. In the end, I spent a little more than I had planned, but, I couldn’t be happier with the set I bought! Why I chose the OXO brand:1) The aluminum core goes all the way up the sides. A lot of the other sets I was looking at, the aluminum core was only in the bottom.2) Drip free pouring.3) Measurements in the inside of the pots.4) Glass lids!!! There were some other really nice sets, but they had stainless steel lids so you could not see what was going on!5) Pot sizes. This set comes with all the standard sizes you need, and the lids are interchangeable!6) Cool touch handles.7) Great reviews on this OXO product and most other OXO products.Like I said this was the only set that I could find that had all the “perks” I was looking for and great reviews. I always like to look at the worst reviews to see what people really think of a product, and a lot of the other brands had an abundance of good reviews, but the bad ones scared me off.I wanted to wait and use the pots before giving them my rating, and at this time, I have used almost all of them. The first thing I cooked was eggs in the small skillet and I did not have any problems with sticking. I also cooked grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken breasts, hamburger, boiled noodles, and made soup in the small sauce pan. I did not have any problems with sticking at all. Note, I was careful to follow the instructions (ie..heat up the pan first and make sure the butter is hot!).Clean up: Clean up of the set has been relatively easy. The only thing I will note, is that when I cooked the chicken in one of the skillets, there remained a white residue that I could not get out with just water and Dawn. I did not find this alarming, or surprising, as when doing my research I had read that certain water can leave stains and you may need to boil vinegar or use ‘Bar Keepers Friend” for tough stains. When I purchased this set I also bought the “Bar Keepers Friend” and I used it on the stains and they came right out. Also, it is very important not to use too high of heat or you many get stains. I will also suggest being very careful with the sponge you use, as if you read the small print, most are not appropriate for stainless steel. I did find one by Scotch-Brite that is safe for these pots and pans and that has really helped.Sorry for all the details, but I know when I am purchasing a big investment like this, that I want to know everything I can. I am ecstatic about this set and this is truly a well designed, customer-make-happy set of stainless steel cookware. It is gorgeous when you pull it out of the box and a true delight to cook in. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Very nice quality pans for the price. As always with stainless steel pans, test they have heated up sufficiently by dropping some water into the pan.The only con to these was that the handle heats up whereas on our other stainless steel pans e.g. Scanpan it doesn’t.

Great set, great quality. We got it for a good price, so great value for us. As or greater non-stick as most of my other non-stick cookware. Careful when putting a small amount of food to cook or sear in a much larger pan. Use the right size pan/pot when it comes to stainless steel for chicken or steak. And don’t wait too long to put it under hot water, to make cleaning quicker/easier. Mine hasn’t cracked yet, and I sincerely doubt it ever will, but if it ever does, I’ll edit my review (if I can) to say it did. Also it’s a bit heavy, which I like but other might not. Handles don’t get too hot when cooking, don’t need any towel or glove. Again, great quality.

Scratches very easily, not unlike soft coated teflon cookwareSoftest stainless steel we have every seen.Recommend using a strong commercial/restaurant cleaner cuz the regular over the counter stuff does not work well enuf.Solidly built & cooks well but over priced for what you get.
