Awesome! Wished Apple made something like this.
This is actually pretty cool, being able to travel around the house to play music, podcast, or my tv audio not be stuck in one room.It also helps as a white noise machine for when I am sleeping and the batter last for a loooong time.Several several days in standby and then maybe over 6 -8 hours when fully charged.

Great Little Battery System for HomePod Mini
Just got this today. It works very well so far. Iâm using it as a battery backup since this HomePod controls home automation. I like the asthetic and think the black base looks good with a white HomePod. If it lasts a long time, it will be a good investment.

I bought this product and the Amazon suggested competitor. I ran both units with separate Apple home pod minis at the same volume in the same room. After being unplugged, the other unit lasted the 6 hours or so I used it the first day, when I shut it off, but didn’t have any charge as I started the second morning. This PlusAcc unit ran 6 hours the first day, held a charge while unused overnight the first night, ran 6 more hours the second day, held charge overnight again, and ran 5 more hours the third day. I decided enough and then plugged it in rather than let it run down completely. It still had one light on. This unit was heavier and seemed well built, though the supplied tape didn’t hold it into the base. So it requires attention to transport. The other unit held the home pod mini in place very well, but was a much lighter unit overall (because of less battery maybe?). I’ve opted to keep this unit and sent the other back. I will have to find some great double-sided tape or just be careful in transport.I paid for both units in full; I’ve never been contacted about writing a review. I wasn’t a paid tester, nor did I receive any rewards for my comments. I will try to get a better system for holding this homepod mini in the though.

Sound Quality Suffers
I was hoping this thing would have been designed with acoustics in mind, but it clearly was not, and Iâm no audiophile. As soon as you sit the HomePod on the base, the sound quality noticeably declines. The bass drops and the sound is muffled; it sounds like you put the HomePod in a styrofoam cup.I wouldnât say donât buy this, but definitely donât leave the HomePod in it while music is playing. I wrapped the cable around mine with enough slack that I can easily remove the HomePod and sit it in front of the base when I want to use it. Donât think of this product as a permanent base for the HomePod, think of it as a battery for it with built in cable management and convenient design for storing the HomePod when itâs not in use.
