Great bread making bowl, I have 5
This is my favorite sourdough bread making bowl. I have 5 & will soon get 1 more. It’s sturdy & strong safety rim, attrative professional looking, & stacks well for my monthly sourdough bread batches of 6 loaves (that’s why I need to order one more). Steps for bread…DAY 1: get sourdough starter ready for next day use. DAY 2: In bowls, dry ingredients mixed with water, rest to autolyse, sourdough starter added & kneaded & 1 hr. rest, kneaded & rest, salt added & rest, kneaded & rest, kneaded & rest. All in one bowl for each loaf. Then kneaded again & put into 1 gal zip lock bags to refrigerate overnight for cold ferment. DAY 3: Next morning set 2 dough bags on counter to reach room temp, knead & form loaf size to place into parchment layered lg. glass loaf pan to cover & rise approx. 3 hrs. Bake loaf in Dutch oven (mine is a cheap large enameled roasting pan with rack). Then I do 2 more the next & next day at my lesiure. Delicious, healthy, sandwich breads. YUM! Great mixing bows!

Liked it so well I bought a second!
I like these large bowls to hand mix dough in. They seem to want to push the idea of being light weight… HUMMM !!!! It is not in my mind. But I do not want a light bowls for such. I what a bowl that sort of anchors itself and is stable… These are, and work well for what I bought them for. I in fact bought a second because I like it so well…We are shying away from plastic mixing bowls and serving bowls as a whole. I just do not care for them and wonder really how safe are they?

Great replacement glass
I cracked my favorite glass bowl of the same size from Pampered Chef. I bought this not expecting much because of the price and was happily surprised. Nice heavy weight, thick glass seems very durable! Itâs the exact same size so it nests seamlessly with my other bowls in my small apartment. Awesome product and great value for the price!

Buyer Beware!
I bought this bowl in January 2024 to replace the same size bowl that was chipping shards of glass for no apparent reason. I assumed I was doing something to make it happen but didnât recall doing so. This morning, the third largest bowl in the original set was sitting in my dishwasher with the door closed and no one in the kitchen. All of a sudden I heard a tremendous shattering sound! I couldnât figure out what had caused it, but later saw shattered glass in the bottom of my almost empty dishwasher and realized I didnât see the bowl where I had placed it last night. I was dumbfounded until I decided to read the one star reviews for these bowls. I suppose I should have read them prior to purchasing the bowls and replacement bowl.
