Customers say
Customers find the sleeping mat comfortable, providing the right amount of cushioning, and appreciate its lightweight design that’s easy to pack. The mat inflates quickly and stays inflated throughout the night, while being sturdy and well-insulating. They consider it good value for money, particularly for its price point under $100.

Be gone hip pain
I’ve gone through 2 of the REI branded side-rail sleeping pads for overnight backpacking trips and BOTH have broken on me (one was a gift so really it was a fool me once situation). I’ve also always struggled with hip pain in the night with the various sleeping pads i’ve used whether they were for car camping or backpacking and I must say this is the only one I haven’t had to deal with that with. Listen, you’re still very much sleeping on the ground but this pad stays inflated all night and provides the right amount of cushion to allow for a full nights sleep and not a night spent waking up every half hour. Definitely recommend for the price!

Best sleeping pad for the money
I used this sleeping pad for 9 weeks working backcountry in Wyoming and slept great most nights. There are probably better sleeping pads out there, but Iâve tried a few, and this was the cheapest and best Iâve used so far.

takes awhile
takes awhile to inflate and have to blow it up some to get a good firmness

It is light and really good quality.
I’m waiting to take this mat on my next biking trip. But so far I like how cushion-y it is, really good quality and light. I should’ve ordered the larger size, but it isn’t too big of a problem for me. When you first unpack your mat, you have to leave it raise for 24 hours before putting it away, it comes with a couple of patches in case it punctures. Very pleased with it.

Far superior to others
These were about 1 to 1-1/2″ thick. Far superior to our other self-inflating sleeping mat of the same thickness. Once I understood the one-way valve flips over not twists like it appears in the diagram, I loved how well it packed up tight. Required 2 puffs of supplemental air in weather above 65 Fahrenheit and a few more when cooler. my wife thinks the 3″ thick one would be better for her side sleeping.

Gave me bad lower back pain
I really like how easily this inflated and packs. I would do it all inside my two-person tent. It also goes back into the original sack if you deflate it properly. However, after only using it for a few days I developed bad lower back pains from sleeping. I used this on a month-long motorcycle trip and ended up needing to switch to hotel stays which was a bummer. I’ll be looking for something else instead.

How to deflate
To deflate, you have to reverse the one-way valve. Take out the valve, flip it, put it back in. Easy!Doesnât really self inflate, but it only takes a few breaths. Easy!I was skeptical of a 1.5 inch pad because Iâm a big guy at about 250 lbs. I was quite comfortable.

thin but comfortable for a side sleeper
My first time out with it I slept great. That being said I found a nice soft area to setup my tent so may update the review after I take it desert camping. The valve is great. I like the versatility and simplicityit rolls back into the bag very easilyKept me warm but temps didnt get below 40 so will see next winter camp trip how the insulation is

overall a good mat, comfy, warm and after few camping trips still holds on.But thing I really dislike is that it takes very long time to inflate, even when left for 30 min in a tent still flat. I had to do at least 3 full breaths to make it full. when I unpack it at home, only next day it seems to be full.I always stored it according to instructions.my cheaper berghaus mat inflates in seconds BTW.

Great quality mattress – light to carry; very practical vavle design; great self inflation. It’s very easy to use and quite comfortable to sleep on. Highly recommended!
