Fantastic
This is by far the nicest piece of camping gear I own thus far, and I can see why it has the price tag it does. I’ve used it 3 times so far and it blows away all the (admittedly cheap) mattresses and pads I’ve used so far.The inflation mechanism is super easy and fast to use once you’ve done it a couple times and figured the right distance to blow from. It also functions to keep my spit out of the interior, while adding virtually nothing to the size or weight. Very smart, although certainly not unique to this product. In that vein, I had no issue with deflation or storing in the bag.Comfort wise, this is fantastic, and I’m going to stop using my cot as this blows that out of the water. Inflated, it’s very thick, which means even on my side my hip isn’t pushing through to the ground. I’m largely a back sleeper, but I like to lay on my side and watch a TV show or something as I wind down. With prior inflatable mattresses, my butt on the ground even sleeping on my back. I’m 6’3″ 210, and the large fits me just fine. It’s not silent by any means, but it’s significantly quieter than other mattresses I’ve used. It’s a pretty minor level of rustle, and unless you’re flopping around like a fish you won’t be bothering anyone. The insulation level seems great. I’ve done 4 nights at around 40 degrees without noticing any bleed through from the ground. Finally, I’d like to note that since I’ve resumed camping in the last couple years (for a scout troop), I hadn’t had a good nights sleep. That includes a decently expensive cot and a variety of other pads and mattresses. With this guy I’m sleeping through the night and I couldn’t be happier. If you can afford this, you should.

A winter ready sleeping pad that delivers!
The Sea to Summit Ether Light XR Pro Insulated Sleeping Pad is a seriously impressive 4 season sleeping pad.The Air Sprung Cell design makes this pad very comfortable and a lot more supportive than I expected. It has a little rubber valve you can push down on to adjust the amount of air in the pad without completely deflating it, this makes it very easy to get the perfect firmness. The built in stuff sack works great! It takes me about a minute to completely fill it. It took me filling the stuff sack about 4-5 times to completely inflate the sleeping pad. Deflating it is just as easy, it was rolled up and back in the sack within 2 minutes. The insulation is excellent, it does a very good job at keeping the cold from creeping up through the ground, while also reflecting your own body heat back up. With an R-value of 7.4 you’ll be quite comfortable in temperatures well below freezing. There is a little bit of noise from the insulating materials, but it honestly isn’t that bad. You’ll likely hear more noise from your sleeping bag rubbing against it (depending on the material.) I’m very impressed with this sleeping pad; the materials, comfort, and insulation are top notch. At a little over 25oz, it’s pretty lightweight. It’s almost identical in size to my 64oz water bottle, so it doesn’t take up a whole lot of space either. It comes with a little repair kit in case you put a hole in it. It also comes with little velcro stickers that you can use to secure the Sea to Summit pillow to the sleeping pad. This pad is a huge winner, especially for winter camping/backpacking.

Top notch!
Inflation is made quick and simple with the included stuff/pump sack. It works really well I and I was quite pleased with it in the two nights I have slept in it.I’m not so sure it’s really worth the price tag, but it is a quality product with lots of nice features

I love camping with this!
My favorite accessory to bring camping! Super easy to inflate and it keeps its shape the whole weekend we were there. I slept like a baby while my cousin had his sleeping bag directly on the ground and he said it was like sleeping on ice. I slept like a baby! It didnât make any noise when moving around which can be annoying with some mats. Very comfortable. The best part is the size of this when deflated in the carrying bag it comes with. I would say the size of a compact umbrella. If you like the outdoors and camp in a tent. This is for you!

Must have for my trips
I use this in my hammock and I absolutely love it. I’m 6’1″ and 270lbs and I have always had a hard time finding mats that feel like they hold me well. This thing is comfortable, lightweight, and not as loud as many other mats. I definitely noticed the fact it is insulated and between this and my underquilt I am toasty down to 15F. I like that the pump is the carry bag, that’s handy and while I typically bring a battery operated pump it’s handy to have the bag to put air in. It did take a minute to figure out how the bag pump worked but once I did it was no problem. Definitely recommend.

Impressive sleeping pad for itâs size and weight
This is a sleeping pad that can be used for camping, or even taking to the beach if you want a comfortable pad to lie in the sand. I see a few reviews stating this is a sleeping bag – it is not. You place this under your sleeping bag to act as a mattress. When folded up, the unit is about the size of a large water bottle, which is really impressive considering how comfortable it is. I went with the large rectangular model to accommodate taller family members. The unit comes with a pump sack built into the storage bag that acts as an inflator. It takes a bit of practice to get it to work. You blow a small amount of air into the sack to expand it, then scrunch it up and squeeze the air out of the sack and into the mattress. It takes a good 8-10 pumps to get it fully inflated. If you happen to have an air compressor around that would be quicker, but if youâre camping and need to keep your carry weight to a minimum, the sack will do the job.The unit has a unique insulation that is designed to keep you warm during cold nights. I havenât had a chance to test it out yet in cold conditions but Iâm glad to know itâs there when I need it.This is a bit on the expensive side so it may not be appropriate for the casual camper. But if you want a top of the line sleeping pad that is super comfortable and extremely lightweight, this is a great way to go.
